+BUSINESS EMAIL(ONLY): [email protected]

Hi best friends welcome back to my channel if you're new here hello, my name is sin or you put me on e and I make wigs. So I have a video called how to make a frontal week and how to make a closure way right and it has over 200,000 views and in those comments you guys was asking me for a sewing machine wig tutorial, and I have exactly that for you. This is a beginners friendly guy. I am very detailed in his video, so this is a very long video. I will try to put time annotation marks, so you guys can know, but if you are new - and you want to learn how to do this, I would say: watch the entire thing, because I'm gon na show you how to thread your needle. A thread thread sewing machine, all of that, all of that good stuff, okay, and I will link another video - got taught me how to thread my specific sewing machine. This is a beginner friendly tutorial all right. This is how Cynthia makes hers begin, their friendly, wigs. Okay, this is how I make my youtuber wigs my youtube. Wigs, alright super quick super easy get it out the way, because, most most of the time, I have a lot of wigs to make okay. So when it comes to my wings that I sell they're a bit neater than this, but other than that these are very sturdy legs and all of that alright, if you make your wigs totally different than theirs kudos for you. But this is how I make my wigs okay, so um. I hope you guys enjoyed this video. It'S two videos, one one, video of me showing you guys how I make the week and then another one. You guys how I installed the wig okay. I hope you guys enjoyed this video if you have any questions, leave them down below everything that I use in this video will be in the description box. My sewing machine will also be in the description box. I did purchase purchase this from Amazon and yes by veterans, there's so many different types of wig caps that you guys can use. I personally like mesh caps, and so I'm showing you some spandex caps, mesh caps and wig caps. Alright, so I personally use the extra large spandex mesh caps because I do have a larger head. If you have a smaller head like say, between the size of 20 to 22, go for a regular dome cap mesh cap. If you have something small, then go for a wig okay, so you are gon na need. Sharpies you're gon na see me use the sharpies to do the gridlines for my wigs, because it's easier to have gridlines when you're, using a sewing machine or just trying to make your wigs in general. It will look super neat. This is my blackhead. I do order these from Amazon. You will need to order me measure your circumference of your head to get your perfect size, but I'm not using that one, I'm using the one. That'S on the wig stand to show you guys during this tutorial, and this is my baby. This is my heavy duty singer, okay, with my nylon thread and I'm gon na show you guys how to thread in everything with this particular sewing machine throughout the video. You are definitely gon na need some hair, I'm gon na use Ally Julia. They did sponsor this video, so they sent me some jheri curl hair for bundles and a frontal, and they just have care instructions on the back, but because you guys are new wig maker. I will say you go to the beauty supply, get some synthetic hair and practice with that, because you definitely do not want to mess up your bundles just practice on some synthetic hair until you get so much better with making them. This is the frontal if they come pre plucked and let's make some wigs. You guys see my first video of how I make a wig, so you know that I start off with my dome cap. We'Ve already discussed the different types of dome cats that I use or wig caps in general. So this is my blockhead. I received a lot of messages talking about how I was using my black hair wrong and aunt your wrong, because you want to make sure that the numbers that's on the back of the head and I'm using a size 23. I am a size 22 and a half, and I use this like 23, because I have a lot of hair - that's grown in the back of my head right, so you want to make sure that the numbers are in the back Garrett. This is definitely shaped like your natural head, so this is your hood organs like your on your hook and then your neck, and this is the front of your face going down. I'M not gon na go to measurements on here only because we weren't detailed in the previous video. So if you have not seen bad video, I would highly suggest you go there for we go and talk about the saw machine anyway. So this is the frontal that I am going to be using I'll show you guys in the beginning on the video of the hair. This is from Ali Julia and this is their curly hair, I'm not sure if this jheri curl or their regular curly. But this is what we're gon na use. So this is a 13 by 4, so 13 inches across 4 inches down. Okay, that's why they say 13 by 4. So if you already know your measurements, you will know that, since this is a 13 by 4, you want to put it 4 inches on your hairline, but you guys not like a seam allowance, especially because of my hair type or my hairline type. I like to pull it down an inch before the actual wig cap and again you can find that information on the first video. I will leave that down in the description box. Ok, when you get to this point, you can either break this down and get it out your way or you can outline it and then your your grids, your your blueprint for your tracks. Ok, I personally now like to remove this because it gets in my way when I'm sewing and I sew faster and I like to sew smarter, not harder. So what I like to do is take my sharpie. This is just a silver metallic sharpie and I am gon na outline where my frontal is fitting. Okay. So after you have your outline, you can remove the frontal or you can sew it hand, stitch it down alright, and so I'm gon na just remove mine and we're gon na apply it at the end of this tutorial, all right not like Rusty's, but it's okay. Cuz we're gon na get it together. So I didn't get a lot of questions about. You know: do you suppose a soul through the elastic band and because I'm using a sewing machine? I am gon na. So, if you're gon na laughs event, when you saw me, do my first, how to make a wick videos I sold for the elastic band and I'm going to say it does not matter, and the reason why it does not matter to me is because of the Way that the elastic is going to you want to make sure that when you're sewing your sewing, not the direction that the elastic is pulling. So if this pulling side by side, you can soul, you know going the opposite way. So when you have some you'd have your elastic band and this is on your head. You don't want to so the way that it's going so, for example, if I was to sew - and you see where my gridlines are going - I never wan na sell going along the line of the last event. You want to go sort, I'm so going towards out of the elastic band okay, because you want to keep that stretch in it, because if you sew, the other way is going to constrict it from moving and fitting on different head shapes in your hitch head size. Okay, so no, it does not matter if you are sewing on the band, because if you make your wig right and you do the steps that I'm telling you to do, your wig is gon na fit regardless. Okay, I'm gon na make a line right behind the frontal line, because this is just gon na. This is gon na make the entire wig like a bit neater after your finished product. Okay. So this is just gon na be like the seam line. That'S going to connect the frontal to the actual wig, so I'm gon na just make another line, and I won't so when I'm when I'm sewing. I won't go past this line, so you guys see the big six space in between, because I am doubling my tracks. Watch i'ma show you guys how to double your tracks. If you double your tracks, you're stacking them on top of each other. So if you can have a track that I stack on top of each other is gon na take a lot of this air, the space that is available and then, when you have it not stretched out like this, it's going to continue it's going to contract back To its natural dome cap shape, so it's not gon na look as big as it is. This is just stretched, so I can get as many tracks I need in for my head. Okay, so this is like a dummy proof way to making your wig fit perfectly for you all right, so I'm gon na continue to put more tracks in this is like a thumb space in between and I'm gon na. Do that all the way through the entire cap and like I said if you are not comfortable and you do not know how much hair to use do one track at a time draw your line, put the hick put the wet on it. So the left down put it on your mannequin head and you can decipher how much how many times you're gon na you know, put a wet down on your black edge, and this is like your basic blueprint. All right so like say, you'd have three bundles all right, so usually I would double double track: two bundles and their single track, the rest at the top. If I have four bundles or more, I will just double track. The entire theme, if you want to just single track all your less then that's up to you - that's dutch/shell, privative! I don't have time you just be sitting here. It'S trying to sell every single last track in here and it will be it'll just be a lot of work for nothing when you're gon na get the same outcome and it's gon na look the exact same and you're, not gon na see any type of gap In or anything like that, so now that we have our blueprint, ready, we're gon na double our West I'll show you everything that you need on how to work your sewing machine and what what settings on? So it's just in case. If you get the same sewing machine I have which is the sinker heavy-duty, then you can put yours on the same settings that mine is on and you wouldn't have any problems. Okay, so let's double someone so the threat that I like to use this nylon. You guys heard me say this in my last couple of videos. Nylon is a very strange Turkish thread so and it's cost efficient so like I can get this big spool for about seven dollars versus a little tiny spool of like embroidery thread which is kind of like the same thing, because it's strong, but it's not as strong As nylon, you do want to have a quality thread because of the fact that you don't want to thread that phrase while you're working, because they don't get caught up inside the Machine, and that's just a headache that you just don't want to deal with. You have all of these settings on your your spin wheel, so we're not gon na focus on all of these ruble and they're gon na focus on two. So this right here is the zig zag stitch. You can use this one, and this one right here is a straight stitch. If use this on. You know you don't have to worry about any of these on your saw machine while you're making a wake up here is the length between the stitch, which is on three on my machine up here is the width that's be in between each stitch? Is in it's at three as well, the needle position is at zero and attention is at four where's, my holder. This was actually too short, and I couldn't take this off because I didn't want to break it. So all I did was take a makeup brush on it, so I can hold it because when I didn't have it, it will just pop off and it was annoying and this spring here is your manual lever that moves your needle up and down and on the Side right here is your on and off switch. This is your plug for your foot pedal, so you plug it in right here. My foot pedals right here on the floor. My foot pedals right here on the floor. I like to put it in the corner because easy it's kind of like driving like you're gon na see. You hear me referencing that a lot, because you always want to stay in between the lines when you're driving, but in this case you want to stay on the line when you're sewing right and your pedal determines the speed of how fast your sewing machine goes. So it's super easy. If you wan na drive, you could definitely handle this okay. So this is the reverse station a lot you want making a wig, because you want to secure your tracks on your wig and you don't want it to come off, and this right here is your presser foot and you're gon na to use this a lot as Well, this make sure presser foot. This is a presser foot right here, and this makes it goes up and down alright, so that is about it and I'm gon na show you guys how to thread it and we're gon na do up the bobbin and then we're gon na go into the actual. Doubling the West and making a wig. I know this is a long video, but I just feel like this is necessary for you guys to learn, especially if you've never worked with a sewing machine. You definitely want to know how to grab your sewing machine, how to work your bobbins, how to thread your bobbins and things of that nature. Okay. So what I'm gon na do is I'm gon na pull the thread out of machine and then I'm gon na show you guys how to rethread it wan na take your thread and basically your sewing machine actually tells you how to thread the needles. So basically, you take your loose thread right back on the the grant holder. So the first step is to take it across here right, so you want to put it in this little hope. Holder boom that stuff number one step number two there's a little metal piece right here and you want to pull your thread through this. So now your thread is going to do step one this step two and now step three is saying: go down this little thin line, so you want to pull it down right and then now it's saying go loop and go up so and you go up five. Your same goal around this metal piece, so there here's the metal piece and it is controlled by the manual hand because it controls the needle. So you want to pull the manual the manual lever towards you towards you and it'll pop right out. So you want to go through there, because it's a little holder, that's gon na hold the thread right there. So you see how it gets a good step and you're gon na pull it right back down. Cuz, that's number six is right. He goes so number. Six is saying: go down and go through this little hole right here, cuz, it's a metal piece, so you want to go down and angle it to the side and you want to pull it through, and so now it's stuck right here and now it's another one. But it's a little finer than that, so you want to hold it by the string and then you want to pull it through and it'll hold it. That way, and from this point on you just want to thread it into the needle okay. So this is called a bobbin, so the bobbin goes into this little compartment right here and it has this little top to protect it. Okay, so the bobbin is the underneath thread that is going to secure the tracks together with the top thread. Alright, so you definitely want to have to have bobbins for this in this machine definitely comes with like and I probably lost all six of them, and this is my last one, so I need to order some more. So basically, what you want to do is you want to tip the bobbin inside the machine cause it fits in there perfectly right, there's little holes. So if you pull the bobbin, it's gon na, it's gon na turn towards you and that's the way that you want it to go. So you want to hold the string and there's a little indentation right there, and you want to go put your thread under that. Little indentation and it's gon na pop right out now you have these two strings: one strings coming from the needle and one string coming from the bobbin. You want to hold both of the streets together and now you want to hit, and now you want to go to your hand and your lever, and you want to pull it towards you. So once you pull it towards you, your needle is gon na go down into the Machine and it's gon na grab the string with the bottom you're gon na see it go look in here. So now it's pulling the string and it's gon na. Take it with it, so then you pull the string that that has the needle on it and you wan na pull it up and then boom you're ready to solve. So you want to close up your machine and then you're ready to sew whatever you want to solve, so basically, I'm aligned the bundles on top of each other. Like this end, it like this is gon na make it super flat on top of your wig. Okay. So what I typically do is I like to pinch a piece of hair from both of the from the tracks to keep the two wets together. Take this piece of hair and I will pull it through the sewing machine right here and so I'm like I'm gon na, let it sit underneath the needle and so in order for this not to move you have to do the presser foot. You got to push the presser foot down it's on the boat behind the machine and drop it so now it doesn't move. So you definitely want to grab your threads because we use so it's gon na pull the thread from the needle. What I like to do is to grab the thread, and then you wrap the piece of hair together and hope this snug, because if you let it loose, it's going to sway from side to side and that's not much one. You want to keep it neat and just feed it through and if you have to you know, maneuver the track, smooth move hair out the way. That'S why you stop get your wet back together and then you start sewing to do. I'M gon na lift up the lever, pull it out of it. Oh, that was the end another bobbin, but anyway you will take your scissors and you want to cut the rest of the thread off, and so after that you will have in front of this slide. You will have a double track like that, and it sits on top of each other. So you want to take your dome cap and you want to take your wet and you want to line it up together right. You want to hold it in place, so you take it and you want to feed it into the sewing machine, just like how it's laying like this and when you see it get under the needle. You want to press the presser foot down. That'S in the back of the sewing machine and it's going to go down, remember to always grab the threads all right, because you don't want your dress to unthread the needle, so you click on the start. As soon as you do a couple, you want to hit the reverse stitch, which is this right here: reverse stitch press it down and it's gon na go backwards and that's how you lock the thread in so at this point, you're gon na grab the strings again And go back and so now you're now you're width is locked into this to the dome cap and it's not going to unravel or anything like that. So now, basically, you drive, don't really want to stretch out your dome cap, but you want to make it as flat as possible and they just you know, maneuver the cap to the way that your lines are going. And so you just straighten up as much as you want. You can take your time. This is not a seat and you just want to learn everything. Okay and then now that we're at the end of this, you kind of want to pull it a little bit. Not too much so you got the end and then you want to hit the reverse stitch again: go backwards. This [ __ ] gon na go backwards, and now it's locked in you want the pressure of presser foot up. So you release the dome cap in the West. Pull her out. Take your scissors cut. The thread cut the webs. Now, if you guys want to see another video of me flipping the lips, that's a whole different situation, but this is what it looks like once. You have sewn that track the double track onto the way and it's super neat, so I like to just cut the thread off as I go, because it gets kind of annoying when you're trying to find them at the end. So I'm like show you guys this. A couple of times and then we'll proceed from there up to the line that I drew move the thread out of the way make sure it's long enough. Where I can hold it. You want to insert the thread and the cap underneath the needle lay your presser foot down, hold the strings, and then you want to start your machine go a couple of times. Press your reverse button. Go backwards go forward, and now it's locked in so now you want to adjust your track to the line to the curve of the cat, and you just want to sum, and so you want to make sure that everything is not folded underneath because you don't want To sell your cap together, but you just want to make sure you straighten out your your dome cap in your and your bundles and everything, so you don't sew them together. So now you get into the cat, you want to hit reverse you want to go back. You in the medical and it's gon na go forward, lift up your presser foot, pull her out grab your scissors cut, look at the thread put the way and then it'll look like that. So you keep doing that into you, vault all the way to the top. So I'm gon na cut the wealth off. I mean the the extra stream I'm gon na cut the extra string off and we're gon na. Do it again wet to line like the entire width in a dome cap underneath the needle lay down your presser foot, make sure you grabbing the needle, I mean make sure you are grabbing the thread that is underneath. Do a couple of stitches go backwards to lock it in straighten out your cap and with so make it go to the shape of your cab reversed it lift it up, and if the needle is inside the machine, you want to go to your hand, lever your Manual hand, lever and turn it towards you and i'ma pull the needle out of the material and you're able to pull it out cut the thread cut the way turn so it'll look like that. So if we need super clean and then the inside looks like that with this nice stitching and everything, so you keep doing that until you get to the top okay. So this is the wig after I put that final track in that I'll fill in everything, and you see how neat that is. I just want to remind you guys. This is beginning they're friendly, so this might not be your method if you like wigs, but this is my method, and this is the way that I'm going to teach people how to do it so now, all you do is let your friends will only make sure. It'S centered right and you want to hand stitch it and, after you hand, stitch you just go over that frontal with the Machine and then you'll be ready. So this is what the wig looks like after I put it through the sewing machine after I've hand-stitched the frontal on - and I like this method, because if your frontal gets old, you can easily cut it off and then replace the frontal on the wing. Instead of replacing the entire wig, so I'm just going in and cut off the extra fabric, that's underneath the wig and I'm going to show you what the the neatness of the wig looks like and if you guys want to see how I customized this wig. Then watch the next video that's gon na come up next, I know this was a long video, but I felt like everything was needed to be explained, and I hope you guys enjoyed this and learned something from this video. If you have any questions feel free to leave them down in the comment section, you know I will be down there as answering all the questions that I can and until next time, bye restaurant

Most tutorials fail to break some of the basics down for people who are beginners with no prior experience and no family or friends who can teach them what they want to know. You broke down what can be so intimidating into an easy to follow step by step that builds confidence. Well done and much respect.

L. S.: This was a great video. I’ve never made my own wig and felt like it would be impossible on a sewing machine based on what others have told me. Thank you so much for this video! It was very beginner friendly. I’m getting some synthetic bundles and trying it ASAP.

Classy lady: Thank you for sharing your wisdom on how to make wigs using a sewing machine. I love how detailed you were from the beginning to the end. Especially the way you explained how to sew through the dome cap. I am definitely trying to learn for myself and will be referring to this video as a guide. You dropped a lot of gems and its appreciated.

Vimeshi Pippen: Thanks sooooo much sis ❤️ please don’t ever delete this because out of all of the many videos on YouTube YOU are the one who taught me how to make units on a machine! Wowwww A BLESSING ✨

Kali J: Very informative! Glad I found this tutorial. You took your time in explaining the importance of measuring, alignment, threading your machine properly, and control of the machine. I do have one question, does the sewing machine have to be a heavy duty one? I was planning on purchasing my sewing machine this weekend as a major investment towards my wig making business I am trying to build. The machine I was looking at is a Singer Start 1304 that comes already preset for the length and width. I really would like to know if I should still go ahead and purchase that model or should I consider purchasing the one you have?

A Tiese: Definitely gained a new subbie and a new follower on IG! This was the most informative and through video I’ve watched on making wigs with sewing machines! I used to hand sew my wigs and it would take foreverrrrrr! THANK YOU FOR THIS GEM stay blessed and beautiful!! ✨

Rishi Beauty: FANTASTIC sewing video. I had been afraid of my machine, it’s still in the box after 10 years. I wear a lot of wigs and this showed up in my suggestions. I’m so glad!! Great teacher! I may going practice again. Liked & saved!

S.L Moore: Thank you for this video! I am a beginner wig maker and wanted to try on my new machine that's coming this week. Question? How does the cap not shrink? When I was sewing by hand, I had to make sure I had a canvas wig block. But if I'm not using that, won't it shrink after I sew all of the wefts on? I saw that you mentioned as long as I don't sew the band going the same direction of the stretch, it's ok to sew on the band. Does that have anything to do with it? Thanks again for sharing!

Sassyshan42: I don’t usually comment but I think u did a very good job and made this tutorial very detailed but also simple for people who never used the sewing machine method! I’m ready to start practicing with all my old hair now lol.

Stephanie Swtchks: Fantastic video!! I have been wanting this for a long time! Crystal clear! Great camera angles. Excellent vocals and descriptions. My ONLY complaint is that my sewing machine turns into a hairy mess when I attempt to sew the frontal and wefted areas together. I watched this entire video for the only step you did not show LOL! *How do you sew the laced hair and wefted hair together, on a wig cap, using your machine, and it not tangle inside the bobbin case and around the presser foot? Thanks so much!!!

Ellle LoveLee: THIS is thee best tutorial I’ve ever seen! Thank you soooo much for this, Queen!

dlebrun1963: That was very well done. I have been doing wigs and beards for costumes for the last couple of decades. Your tutorial smoothed several things out for me though. The only thing I question is have you tried a roller foot to make the pieces go through without so much pulling? You really have a great technique. Thanks.

I've met some wig technicians, and they make you pay for this kind of information! I really appreciate you for taking the time to create this video and spread your talent.

tnewso16: I just wanna say THANK YOU! Learning from you is much more effecient than all the programs I have come across on Instagram. "Take your time, don't rush." Reassured me, because following other videos they just rush through and skip over vital details. This was a blessing, I was so discouraged before! Love&Light.

Toya Thigpen: On my Lord! God Bless you for your attention to detail! You have BLESSED me soooo! I can’t wait to try my first wig! I got that same sewing machine for Christmas I’m going to watch this while I make my wig

katlady5000: I'm a quilter and when I machine quilt I use a walking foot it's more stable then a regular presser foot. It seems like a walking foot might work well for this. I never thought to use the sewing machine and I own three including the one you're using. This seems much faster then doing the blanket stitch. I have never made a wig but I really want to try it out. Thank you for this helpful video.

EbonyW: I"ve been wanting to do this even though I don't even wear wigs like that. Great detail, TFS

rebbenful: You did an outstanding job! Thank you !

khandie_s journey: amazing video and well taught.. i always wondered if you were suppose to stretch the cap while sewing but you explained that you do not!! Going to try with my new bundles!! thanks for this!

Sugah69: I am so glad that I found your video. I have watched many tutorials on making wigs but every one that I've seen were hand sewn. And to me that just appeared to be time consuming. I have wanted to make my own wigs for a while now, and you have given details on how to do so using a sewing machine. I couldn't say thank you enough for posting this video. Now this is something else I can do when I have some time off work. I appreciate you . And that unit was.

Shanda J.: Thank you soo much for this. I normally make them by hand but today you encouraged me to order my sewing machine

Jennipher Williams: Thank you for this very informative tutorial. However, in the threading steps, there was no demonstration of how the needle is AUTO threaded since you're using a Singer auto threading machine. I have ordered an automatic threading sewing machine and will find out how it's done when it arrives. Thanks again, though. Very well done! UPDATE 1/24/21: It's my 62nd birthday (yay me!) and I treated myself to a Brother CS7000X that has an automatic self-threader (OMG piece of cake!). Now I can get down making my ombre black and purple wig the length and style I desire.
