[ WORKING WITH WIGS WIG & HAIR BASICS ] The first place I'm going to do - is the center-front. To lock that wig down.. Most of the time you use spirit gum., You can thin out your spirit gum using alcohol., So just get it so it's nice and tacky. Make sure your wig is center-front. ( Matt Winston ), Quick question from this is from Muhammad.. Can he use Pros-Aide for gluing down lace, wigs beards, mustaches Connie, Yes. Yeah, so that's kind of an individual make up artist's preference. Some people use Pros-Aide. Some people use Telesis. Some people use different types of bonds. Some people use spirit gum., Whichever you prefer. ( Matt ). Another question actually we'll do this after the application, we're going to look at a little bit of cleaning the lace after this is done. Connie Yep. Matt. There are some questions about how to do that. Connie. Yes, there we go. So get the center-front tacked down.. I use my little piece of nylon here so wouldn't get all over my fingers.. So then we're going to tag it down on this side. And again. This wig was not made for Kelly, so ..., But it's not too bad of a fit. And always try and make sure your lid's on these and keep it away from you, because you can knock these down really quickly, and this is a thirty one dollar bottle Of glue. So then again doesn't smell. Nice., Try not to blow on the actor's face. Use a nylon or use a piece of satin or whatever it is you use. Tack it down., Okay and the wig is on.. So then again, we would pin it. In the back on top here.. It depends on how much movement, if she's not moving around much you can leave it. There. There's also --. Some wigs have lace tabs back here where there's hair tied and you can glue it down on the side of her neck.. But in this case we don't have that., So we're not going to glue it down. But see how it's riding up already. We don't want that. So then use a dark. Hair pin. Again go through the foundation of the wig and go up underneath the wig cap., And you want to get that nice and snug up against her nape. Matt Kathy Lynch says you look like Kate Beckinsale now, Kelly. Connie ( laugh ), Lucky you., Oh and It'S popping on the side. Kelly. I felt it pop. Connie. This was not made for her. That'S why it's popping. Kelly! That'S why it's important to do the tape wrap. Connie, So there you go ... Ta Da Okay! Now we're going to remove it!

TheGanjaIguana: tbh if i had the money for it id just shave my head and buy lace front wigs forever

Andrea Williams: Thank you, great tips, love the nylon trick!!

Fina Khan: 1. Hair prep with anchors to secure wig on head sides top and nape.2. Attention to detail all the hair around face to be compleatly off the face using a hair product to keep it in place. 3. Prep your counter space with everything you need for the wig application.4. Put a few drops on a small ceramic surface of Spirit gum to allow it to evaporate for tackiness. 5.for hygienic purpose never use the glue brush, use a small angle brush. 6 Never lift lace at Center to apply glue, lace can be easily stretched, pinch the head scalp front close to hairline the scalp will move and expose and lift the lace so you can glue without need to lift the lace.manually and expose area further down 7. Use a clean powderpuff to press glued area any excess will come off on the puff, keep turning the puff. 8.Apply glue to sides, get actor to smile before placing lace on glued sides. I am a wig maker, I have45 years working with wigs in theatre, ballet, opera, Film and TV have trained many over the years in and continue to do so at the present time2020 always willing to share my knowledge.❤️
