11-Year-Old Girl Scalped From Carnival Ride Gets Wig For First Day Of School
Three months after losing her hair and most of her scalp, 11-year-old Lulu Gilreath is ready for a new look. The Nebraska girl has become famous for her resiliency since an amusement park ride turned into a horror show that ripped her hair from her head. So Inside Edition decided to help and took Lulu shopping for a wig at Bravadas Wig Designs. "I feel how I was, and I like it!" she said. #InsideEdition
Oh she's, the brave girl whose scalp was ripped off in a terrible carnival accident now 11 year old, Elizabeth affectionately, known as Lulu, courageously shows the world her injuries. This side of my head is wherever the hair is. I have feeling in it. It happened in. May. That'S Lulu in sunglasses. She was happily riding on the king's crown with her friends in Omaha Nebraska. The next moment, her beautiful long red hair got caught in the mechanism. She was scout. Surveillance tape shows the ride. Slowing down. You can see a bystander rushing up the stairs using all her strength to bring it to a halt. Here are the heartbreaking photos of Lulu in the hospital her scalp and forehead were repaired using skin grafts months later, Lulu still receives letters of support from people across the planet. Now Lulu has something else to worry about she's starting sixth grade in a new school. I'M nervous that nobody will like Carla and we were there when Lulu's mom brought her to bravados wig designs. The overwhelming, relief and emotion I know she felt when her daughter found a wig that she felt confident and more herself in, was just beautiful! It was palpable.
