Natural Hair: How To Keep Hair Dry When Swimming #Swimcap #Hairdry

Hey youtube: it's charisma, so i am going in the pool right now. Um, if you guys haven't already watch my video about my the damage that was causing my hair from chlorine um. So this is the video that i'm showing you how i protecting my hair from chlorine, so i'm gon na be testing out um this method and i hope that it works. I feel like i've done it um different ways and it just works a different way. Each time, but we're gon na test out this way, so my hair is already braided in four, no like five one, two, three four five braids so, first and foremost, i'm gon na put my hair up because i don't want the ends to get wet and guys. Please watch my video on um when i click my ends. I'M doing a whole new series on my hair journey all over again since what happened with the chlorine. I cut off my ends and i'm starting over and i'm still i'm gradually cutting them off because there's a lot of thinning on my ends. So yeah i'm just putting it up making sure that my ends are not left on the bottom. So now i'm going to use one of my hair socks. I made this. These are available on my website. My etsy shop, etsy.com shopsize charisma. For you all, the info is in the description, so i'm putting this on as my first layer and i'm just doing like that. So that's my first layer, okay. So after i put this on now, i'm going to put my regular swim cap on that doesn't have the ears, because i have one that's short, which is this one and another one that has actual a place for your ears, so putting this one over okay. So after that, i'm going to put on my regular shower cap also conditioning caps. I use these to deep condition with i'll put that over okay. So now i am going to put a headband. This is supposed to keep this plastic cap in place layers guys you got ta do layers just like that, because that water still finds a way to get underneath, like i really don't get it. Water wants to do what he wants to do. Make sure the air is out okay, so this is my swim cap with the ears here. It is and i'll leave a link to this. In the description i got this on amazon. So it's not it's a little bit longer then the other slim cap and it's pink because you guys know i love pink, okay, guys and that's it. So i'm just gon na put my um goggles on and i'm going to the pool. Now i go under the water, so um yeah. I have to do the most to protect my hair, so we're going to see if this works, because when i come from the pool, i'm gon na show you guys what my hair is looking like. Hopefully it stays dry. Okay, i'll see you at the pool. Okay, let's see if just got off the pool, let's see what their stay to try. Okay guys. So i am back from the pool and let's see if it worked. Okay, so we're gon na take off and don't mind my eyes every time i take my goggles off, they make an indentation because sometimes i take pictures and i'm like what underneath my eyes look like i'm like dad. You had the goggles on okay, so i took off the first layer and okay, so i don't feel the water on this. Maybe we have a goal because normally i will feel i've done this a couple of times. I might have done it out of the sequence that you saw here. I feel a little bit of dampness on this, but not to worry, because we have this okay layer number three and then we have this be careful. I don't cut this stuff up with my nails. Normally this feels wet in the last layer. Guys it's dry it's dry, so i do feel a little bit of moisture around my perimeter a little bit, but at least yes, this part is dry, so the ends are dry. Let me just get close, so you guys can see and i have product build up in my hair. I have my hair in a puff, so you might see some product build up but guys for the most part, it's dry, i'm so excited, because i cannot wait to continue taking good care of my hair, making sure i don't get chlorine on it. I'M cutting off my ends. I'M taking my hair vitamins and someone left me a comment about like paying close attention to my diet, because i am plant-based so a lot of times, um people, you know wonder about how you get your protein and yes, yes, yes, i do admit that i could Stand to use some more protein, so i'm definitely going to be looking into that as well as collagen. I know i take the cmos, so that should help with collagen, but i'm going to continue doing research and, as i learned, i will share with you guys. But this method worked, as you can see, my hair is dry and it needs to be washed in deep condition. So continue stay tuned to my videos because i'm doing a whole new series on my hair journey um.
