Messy Bun For Straight Hair (Two Ways) Bobby Pins Optional

This messy bun tutorial is super easy and made for all my straight/fine haired girls out there. Sometimes you don't have time to curl, set, and then put your hair up, and the truth is you don't need to :)

This messy bun tutorial for long hair requires no bobby pins but you can add them if you want a super clean look.

Welcome back so today i'm doing two quick tutorials on how i put my very very straight hair, into a bun on youtube. I see a lot of these tutorials and you know the hair has been curled or prepped, but on days that i don't do that uh. This is what i do for straight hair, so yeah, let's just get right into it. Putting a bun in with straight hair prep is really important, so i don't like to skip this set. I take a dry shampoo and you can use dry, shampoo, texturizing spray. Even a very light hold hairspray, you just want to give your hair some more hold. I'M actually not doing this on the top of my head, i'm going down here. If it gets a little bit of that white powder, you can just brush through it to make it more of a sheep. Look. You want that really straight part that you can use something like a teasing comb and use the tail end of it to do that, and now i'm holding a teasing comb. You can actually go under some of these layers because we're pulling the hair back and tease too, if you want, like extra volume, all right for this look basically going in with two hair ties, and then you can use bobby pins if you want. After, let's start by pulling our hair into just a ponytail, and you want your ponytail, where you want your bun to sit, i like mine kind of right here, part of the way up. My front parts of my hair do fall out. I'M gon na pull them out before i tie this all together, so you can use any kind of comb to just comb it back. So we have our ponytail and it's pretty tight and at this point i like to loosen the hairs and the ponytail so i hold and i kind of press upward there - we go tightening it as i go. You can even hold your ponytail and pull some of these lower pieces out because use some line right underneath so hold bottom pieces out and tighten your ponytail just try and use my fingers and press wear a lot more light. So that's why we do the ponytail. First, so we can kind of create, i don't know like pump it, but i'm going to take another hair tie and to choose one direction and start twisting and i'm going to keep twisting once i have it all. The way done just take a claw hand and hold that in so from the front you'll get some tufts of hair. It'S totally up to you. If you like, keeping these, i don't like the way they fall so i'll change it and kind of play with it, and you can also pin those in back how you want. This is the low bun and you can also pin this hair back too. So you can use bobby pins to kind of push the slope on how you like um, and then you can also continue to play with it. So this low one i like to keep pretty tight. That is low, bun number one. So second, one pretty similar, i'm also going to be using two hair ties and we're going to go higher up. If you want to have the pieces in the front down, you can um pull your hair down before i'm going to show it to you with all my hair up. I do want to still make it like smooth my hair on the way up, um and pay attention here, like the angle of your hair here and making it all uniform pulling. It upward really helps. This look become more chic, so i'm going to put my ponytail on top of my head right now, so we're going to do this like real top naughty and once again just place this wherever you like we're gon na. Do the same thing here, start loosening. So pull the hairs out, tighten the ponytail if you're pulling hair from the top, then i recommend tightening the bottom of the ponytail and then we're also going to pull or press some hair down here at the bottom. You can do this to your heart's extent. If you pull the hair from the bottom, tighten the top of the ponytail top bottom okay. So now we have that volume more built out for the top. One is do a mini samurai bun like this wrap, okay or the hair on ones, and i have hair that sticks out. We can fix this later. I'M going to take the tail of this samurai whole thing and wrap it around the rest of my hair and twist that, and now we are going to how about so now you have this like twisted top knot thing going on. I, like mine, pretty tight, but you can like pull on this and i would recommend like spreading this top part to pull it up. If you want to make it like messier. Okay, i don't really mind if the hairs are coming out towards the back. If you want this to be a really clean look, all you have to do. Is it take like a bobby pin? You can even take another hair tie and press that in okay, so i have a really clean look. So this one is super easy and then these like do not move they're, so nice for going out, especially if you're like eating outside post pandemic, and it is windy. This is one of my favorite ways to put up my hair, because this will not move at all. It doesn't even have the front pieces if you want to pull out like baby hairs and do that kind of look. You can make this kind of like a little bit messier, and that's it thanks so much for watching with me uh. I hope this is a help to my straight haired friends out there. The struggle can be very real, trying to put these strands back in a way, because thank you to everyone who subscribes. It really does mean a lot to me and i hope you have a wonderful rest of your day.
