Linwood Darkis shows a quick easy hairstyle that is cute, simple, and great for weddings, special events, prom, homecoming, quinces, and so much more. To do this cute donut bun hairstyle, all you need is a donut bun, at least medium length hair, and the ability to do a simple braid. Linwood is a licensed hairstylist and cosmetology teacher. Linwood teaches cosmetology for a living to high school aged cosmetology students daily.

Hello and welcome to glam fam, I'm Linwood and today I'm going to be showing you how to do a simple, elegant, easy updo with this doughnut button. Here now I will let you know in advance. This is a little bit messy, but if you would like it more cleaned up, you can use products like hairspray or a little bit of his smoothing balm. While you work first put on the button and secure it in place like such, then you'll want to start taking medium sized sections and creating braids as you go down that section of hair you're going to fan out just one side of the braid. This is to give emphasis for a look of almost like rose petals. I pulled in a little closer, so you can see exactly what I'm doing here notice. The left side of the braid remains an untouched, we'll be rolling it in that direction. So if you pull the petals on the right side, you'll roll it to the left. If you pull the petals on the left side, you'll roll it to the right once you finish, wrap it around your finger and roll it right on up. It should look about. Like a flower or a rose, when you finish and from there you'll just want to secure it in place with a couple of hair pins, making sure your hair pins are not plainly visible. It'S one of the best ways to ensure your work. Looks more professional you'll continue this pattern as you go throughout the style, so you can see. I have sped it up some and you're just going to fan out the one side of the braid continuing on down the shaft of the hair. If you're concerned that the color of the doughnut may show from underneath the hair don't be. But if you are more concerned, especially for your model or you don't have as thick of hair as this manikin does, you can use a donut this closer in color to your hair color. If you fanned it out correctly, though, that bun shouldn't even show from underneath you'll see what I mean when we come towards the end, so you'll continue this pattern all throughout the button, but there is a special instruction coming up, so don't hop off just yet. You can see that flowery design there and from here I'm gon na section off some here and put it up out of the way. That'S going to be my very last section now. That part is important because it's going to help add to the illusion of the style as you'll see when I get to the end, so the rest of the hair that we left down we're going to make two more braids out of after this one. Don'T worry about getting these petals perfect. I know a lot of times. People tend to obsess over these details, keep in mind when you see flowers, things like that in nature, they're, never exactly the same. So if there's a slight variance there, it's not a major issue. Don'T sweat the small stuff now you can see. The center of this is still looking a bit like a doughnut. In the last hand, why is for it to look like a doughnut button so that last break that we did is going to go right in the center that way, it closes it up with another flower, instead of closing it up. Looking like the inside of a doughnut button, if you understand what I'm saying so, we'll write all that right on up place it right in the center as such, and this helps for this guy's, the look of the button. Underneath now you can pin down additional flyaways to seem out of control, and this is essentially the finished look before we put any additional parts or pieces in there. As you can see, the donut is not showing underneath no matter what angle you look from now we're just going to put some adornments in the hair up the links to some similar adornment and the description box down below if you're interested in knowing where you can Get some I try to place them a little bit sporadically. I don't want them in the center of every flower to me, it's very easy to step into overkill with that.
