How To Sew A Hair Bun. No Bobby Pins!

This is a tutorial on how to sew a hair bun for dance or skating competitions that don't allow bobby pins. This technique requires few supplies, doesn't hurt children as much as bobby pins, and creates beautiful buns.

Okay, this is an instructional video on how to tie a hair button. First of all, you need some supplies, but not that much okay. The first thing is mousse. This is optional but helpful. You need a comb need a hairband. You need a plastic yarn needle pair of scissors, a hairnet and thread that matches more or less your child's hair, okay, so, okay, the first thing we're gon na do. Are you just photographing her head? Okay, we're gon na brush out the hair? Wouldn'T you brush? It'S not supplies: okay, yeah, all right after we have the hair more or less brushed out. The first thing we're gon na do is put a little bit of mousse in the hair. This is better than hairspray because it doesn't get in kids eyes and they don't mind it as much okay. So you put some mousse in the hair in the hair, maybe a little bit more okay, then you're gon na take your comb to slicked-back the fine part of the comb to slicked-back the hair, and this makes it so that there's less bumps than a hairbrush. Okay. So, okay, so once you're happy with your head, then you put your rubber band on okay. So so far, nothing too fancy. Alright! Okay! Next, have you take your thread and you're gon na take kind of a long piece? Maybe you know kind of wide arms, like you got that okay cut your thread, put your thread through your needle okay and then tie the two ends and a knot. This way, your needle won't come off of your thread, so I just wrap the thread around my finger: push it down like that and tie a knot. Okay, so now we have our needle and our thread. Okay. The next step is to twist the hair and wrap it around to create a button okay, so this does not have to be super neat. Okay, you just twist wrap alright when you've got the hair in a bun. Take your hair nut, open it up and put the hair in that over the shoot. This hair and that's kind of old, okay, new ones, work better plate over the bun and it's gon na be too big. So what you want to do is use it like a rubber band and wrap it one time around. Oh, you know what okay shoot. We can't pause kamilly, because this hair nuts ruined because it's been used before okay. Let me try one more time: a new hair nut will not do this. What let me just start out with the hair back? Okay, okay, this we're gon na have a new hair net that doesn't have that issue. Okay, alright! Yes, this one's good, okay, so get the bun back, put the hair nut over the bun and over again. So now you kind of want to like push the hair nut like that. Okay, so this isn't gon na fall out or anything, and you just use your hand to hold it like this, and it doesn't hurt the kid either. Okay, now take your needle okay, you're gon na start in the bun, like this you're gon na wrap in the hair and then you're kind of come back through the first time. You want to put the needle through the two pieces of thread so that it will so that it doesn't slip okay and then you're gon na sew. All the way around you're gon na stick the needle through the bun through the hair and pull through the bun. Through the hair and pull and you're gon na sew, all the way around, just like this, through the bun through the hair, pull through the bun through the hair, pull hey lil turn to the wall, another wall, no, no, the other, well yeah, okay, through the button, Through the hair, pull sorry bear through the bun through the hair, pull okay Lily, it turned towards the wall. Oh we're a whole body towards the wall, no, not just your head yeah, so you kind of it. If you see the hairnet sticking out just push it under, you can hide it really easy. Okay, Lily. I keep turning now turn towards daddy, good, okay, so you're, basically just gon na sew all the way around. Oh ash watch out for the phone it's okay and then keep sewing okay Lily and I look at ash. Okay, good and then see now. I'Ve gotten all the way around on my last loop, so it through to pull it tight. Okay, now you're gon na cut your thread. Put your needle down and you're gon na just tie a knot, and this is just so. It doesn't come. Undone, okay, tie your knot and then cut and Lil's you want to show you show the bun and we have created a perfect bun with no bobby pins. I hope you enjoyed this video thanks to ash for videoing and lilia for modeling, okay, bye,
