This video was created in partnership with T3 Micro. All opinions are my own.

In all of my years of doing video hair tutorials, I have never done a proper blowout with a round brush, so I'm so excited to be doing that with you today. Now that my hair is a little bit shorter, I'm loving the volume and smoothness of a blowout so I'll be showing you how to get this look and sharing tips and tricks along the way using the t3 Kyra Lux dryer. I did partner with t3 micro for this video, and this dryer is awesome. So just a little bit about the dryer before we get started. Is it has digital controls here with heat settings which you know is important because we want to blow our hair dry, not burn it dry, so you can turn down the heat. If you don't need it very hot, it has a volume boost setting that I'll show. You how to use a cool shot, which is great for locking the hair into a particular shape like a round of round brush and the coolest feature of all is the auto pause sensor. So you can set it down on your countertop and the air will quit blowing until you pick it back up again, which is just awesome when you're going through a step-by-step process of blood drying. Your hair t3 is offering an awesome sweepstakes as well, where you get this dryer that I'm using the tutorial along with a bunch of other, really awesome things. You can find details all about it below this video in the description box and the link that you need to use to enter all right. Let'S get started with the blow dryer starting with towel. Dried hair, put a heat protector in focus on your ends and then work it up to kind of midway through the hair shaft. You don't want to go too close to the roots, but make sure you get all the sections of your hair with that heat protector. So the Kira Lux dryer has two concentrators one. That'S a little bit wider for rough drying, which is what we'll be doing first and then a smaller one that creates a tighter airflow that I'll be using once I'm using the round brush when you are starting. You just want to kind of roughly dry your hair to get it to about 85 % dry, so put the wider nozzle on it and then we'll just begin: blow-drying [ Applause, ], [ Applause, ]. So once your here's, a little bit more dry, go ahead and section it into three sections for if you have thicker hair, I always like to start with a mohawk section. On top, this will be the last when I come to and then a middle section right above my ears, and then you can just leave the nape section down after you've section your hair off, keep the drying concentrator on and use a paddle brush to smooth through That bottom section, until it's like almost completely dry, the paddle brush, is great for smoothing the hair softening it and then we'll use the round brush to bend the ends under a little bit. [ Applause ] switch to the styling concentrator when you're ready to use the round brush. This will concentrate the airflow a little bit more, so you won't have hair flying everywhere and you can focus it around the brush. One of the coolest features of this dryer is the auto pause sensor, so you can be drawing your hair and then, if you need to let down another section or pick up another section of hair with your brush, all you have to do is set the dryer Down and it'll pause until you pick it back up again, it's so cool and then you aren't blowing everything off your bathroom counter. So I love that feature when you're doing a step by step process like this, let down the middle section and always grab a parting of hair that is not wider than the brush itself put the round brush in, as close as you can to your root area And then make sure the airflow from the dryer runs the length of the brush. That'S going to make your time here most effective as you're working your way around the hair make sure you're keeping the brush in at the root area, lifting the roots making sure those are the first thing that are dry. The roots are going to take a little bit longer to dry than the ends, so focusing on that part will make sure you'll get nice volume and fullness, and then you can always bend your ends under with the round brush at the end. [ Applause ]. So once I get to the top section of my hair, I like to use the volume booster on the dryer. It'S a little button. You press to help. Kick the volume up just a little bit more, which I like to do at the crown in the front of my hair, so the volume booster button is on the dryer right under the power button and you just click it on and when you're done with it, You can just turn it off [ Applause ], so you may have noticed. As I was working at the top section here, everything was going back once I get to my front sort of bang face frame area. All of that is going to be blown dry forward. That helps create like a really nice swoop around the face. So I like to divide this final section in two and just to keep it out of my eyes. I'Ll, put a duckbill clip in here I'll. Do this one first and then we'll finish with this section here. Another thing I like to do in this front section is use the cool shot, which is right at the trigger point of the dryer to pool this section down that helps lock in the shape around the barrel and gives me lots of volume right around the front. You can see how nicely that hair just swoops to the side. You can establish your part then, but you have a nice fancy bend right around the front of your hairline. So the end result is a nice smooth, volumize bouncy blowout, and not only does your hair look good like this, but if you take the time to do this on the day that you've washed your hair, I think you'll have an easier time getting a couple more Days out of it, because you've taken the time to lift your hair off your scalp area get a lot of volume at the roots. So the further away your hair is from your scalp, less likely it is to get greasy or oily or dirty. So you can consider it like a time investment for day one and then also maybe day, two or three don't forget to enter these sweepstakes. That t3 is offering you can find all of the info about it and the link to enter right below this video

FiftyPlusBeauty: Looks like a wonderful blow dryer! You are so good with your hair. Since I’ll soon be entering my “second 30” I’m always interested in things to pump up the volume. Thanks!

Elizabeth Jones: Love this tutorial! You are so right about getting more days out of your hair style. I generally sleep with a high ponytail and some dry shampoo, it lasts for 3-4 days!

Ashley N Greenway: I can NEVER blowdry my own hair very well, but your tutorial was so easy to follow! I don't have a great dryer but my hair turned out so soft and gorgeous with your directions! Thank you so much.

marie kelly: Love this tutorial, and all your tutorials have been helpful to me! Keep up the good work.

MaryEllen Labarre: Hi, I'm new to your channel and am loving your hair tips and tutorials. I watched this video last night, tried it myself today, and LOVE IT!!! Thank you so much, I'm looking forward to checking out your other videos (especially makeup!)

klharndt: Another great video. However, you know that we all struggle (no, just me?) with successfully drying/styling the back. I can do anything to my hair in the front/sides. Show us the back–please!? Tips? Tricks?

Shelby Eidson: I have watched so many hair tutorials and never seem to achieve the desired results with my hair. That is until I watched this video! My hair looked as good as it does when I go to the salon after following the steps in this tutorial. Thank you so much for making your videos. God bless!

Elana A: Yes. This. This is what I need to do every day for the rest of my life. I have stick straight hair that will not hold curl to save my life and I always end up let down. I'm going to make this my every day hair and give up on curls.

Zeljka B: Love the video and your hair! If I was so lucky to have hair like you. The price of the hair dryer is quite steep. I'll try to replicate this with the one I have. Thanks for yet another great tutorial. Love watching you.

Sari N: Thanks for an informative video. Your hair is beautiful! I have a question, does it matter when I add the heat protectant to my hair ... I usually do a pump of oil on my ends and then a thickening lotion or a root boost ... so do I do the heat protectant before that or after? Thanks! Sari

Emily Reed: You make it look so easy! Question: do you know if the dryer is dual voltage? (120V-240V)?

Cathleen Howard: Great video! Like how you divided “bang” section in two — will try that tip. Did you use any product in hair other than heat protectant?

Maria Vasquez: Great technique. It’s exactly what I’ve been doing for about 20 years. Fool proof. Love it

Frunze42: You explain things really well. Thanks!

Erin Armstrong: Super helpful!!! I just got a new style and was having trouble getting a decent blow out! This came at the best time! Thanks for sharing

starben78: Love your tutorials however, when roundbrushing to avoid extra heat damage and maximize shine you shouldn’t point the nozzle straight onto your hair at 90 degree angle. You should direct the airflow down the shaft at more of a 45 degree angle to smooth the cuticle down.

Nicole Rodgers: Great video! This is off topic of this video but thought I’d give it shot and ask this question. I have natural curly/ wavy hair. It can be very frizzy. I’m looking for a really good product that can control my frizz. Do you have any suggestions? Or any favorites you happen to use? Thanks so much!

Amanda J: What is your favorite heat protector product to use, or do you have a few you'd recommend?

Donna Schwab: What round brush are you using? Looks like the perfect brush!

A.L. Johns: After watching this I still don't know how to make a blow drying your hair with a round brush much easier. Do you set the blow dryer down every time you reach the end of a strand of hair to set the brush back up at the roots? Or is there a trick how you can do it without having to do that every time without getting all your hair tangled? And what about all the hair in the back? You didn't show that at all. Do you have to pull it all straight up or to the side over your shoulder? And are there different "rules" for longer hair?

cwm53: Great tutorial. Very nice blow dryer.

Mary Pickett: You are adorable. I would love to own this blow dryer. Great tutorial. I need to get a paddle brush.

Hi: No amount of product would help my hair be that smooth after blow drying. A flat iron is a must for me.

Susanna Boyd: Great video. I know you’re showcasing techniques but was heat protectant the only product?

Hana N: You’re so pretty and you hair is goals!!!

michigal29: I have this blowdryer and LOVE it.

J M: Thank you so much...great video. Easy to follow by women and my costumers.. I shared it in my Facebook page

Amanda: Need that blow dryer in my life. You did a very informative tutorial.

Fairy Fellers Master Stroke: Great video! I tried this, but I just can't get my hair to stick on the round brush, sort to speak... my hair is thin, and the brush won't grab it, I feel I need one more hand to help.

Katie Palmer: I find i struggle to get shape and volume as my hair is so frizzy, so feel the need to straighten it after blow drying. Any tips? X

navycottoncandi: What is the size of the T3 round brush you are using in this video? Also can you please do a video showing how you clean and take care of the brushes. Thanks

JoyfulMinimalist: I love it, thank you.

Mrs. Terry Hacek: Thanks for fixing the links ~ I have entered in this T3 giveaway Kate

Suz: Great demonstration

Melanie Preston: I am trying to find out what SIZE round brush to get for medium hair (layers in front). I am very surprised that none of these tutorials are answering that question. Keep in mind I have never been someone who does my hair - so I am looking for as easy as possible, just to do the front nicely. Thanks!

Lori: Would you tell me what round brush your using? Thanks!

Yulia Komina: Are you using the T3 2.5 Volume Brush or the T3 3.0 Volume Brush?

Martha Yeager: What round brush do you use?

Neha Bharati: Which heat protectant did u use

Janet frank: I AGREED THANK YOU YOUR VIDEO HELP A LOT

Jennifer Jewell: You may have said it and I just missed it but, what brand brush are you using? As a person with fine, limp hair I loved this video.

CuteYellow Lab: I haven’t been able to get the links to work. Do you know if it is dual voltage? I love all my T3 products, I have hair dryers, curlers, straightener and curling wands by T3.

brittanykd08: Love your hair like this

Kate Valiente: Won’t it damage your hair to hold the dryer that close? Or am I thinking of old school advice? It’s possible I read that in Seventeen magazine in the nineties.

Kurylo Teri: Can you tell me what heat protector you use ? My ends seem so fried

Sara Thomas: Is the blowdrier on medium or high?

Lisa Adler: I got a round brush stuck in my hair and I needed to cut it to get it off. Threw round brush away.

Angela Mullis: Link is working now! Thank you for this amazing giveaway!

B C: How are you so beautiful? Thanks for the video - really helpful.

Jodi Z: Do you have any curl in your hair?

Bekah Edwards: link worked for me! You just have to copy and past it.

Laura2585: My husband and I are in deep discussion about the auto pause and what triggers it-we are weird engineers, lol

Connie: I wish you hadn't edited out so much of the top portion. I have been struggling with my top section with a grow out of a very short bob and I end up looking like I have a 'comb over' in the crown section. Not at all the look I am going for!

Orit 1: What brush are u using?

roberta scholten: For those having difficulty with the links, copy the link and paste it into your browser's address bar, then hit enter. That works.

- ̗̀ it's jane ̖́-: lmao if you watch with captions they transcribe the blow drying noise as [Applause]
