Hey guys so today I wanted to show you a super easy twisted updo. So to begin you just want to make sure your hair is brushed and tangle free and I'm going to start with a section near one side of my head. I'M going to divide it into two equal strands and I'm just going to take those two strands and twist them over each other like I'm doing here, and do that all the way down. So then, next I'm going to take my two fingers and just kind of pancake that twist a very tiny bit. We don't need it pancake too much just a little bit to make it more full and then I'm just going to hold it in my mouth and then take a section of hair from the other side and do the same thing. So we're going to twist this section and we're going to twist it all the way down and then pancake it a little bit. So then, once we've done that, then we want to take both strains of the twist and we're going to take these towards the back of our head and then we're just going to take a clear elastic and then we're going to tie those two twists together and Then I'm just going to kind of tighten this a little bit all the way down. This time, though, I'm not going to pay and take the twist. What I'm going to do is take the twist and then I'm going to create a loop between the twists in the back kind of pull it open and then take that twist and pull it through that open loop. Like I'm doing here and then unless you have short hair, you're, probably gon na have to do it several more times. So I'm going to take that twist and then pull it through again and then you can say I just have a little bit of hair sticking out. So I'm just going to bobby pin what I have put through the loop so once you've secured it in place. We'Re gon na do the same thing on the other side, so take two strands of hair and just twist it all the way down. So again, like the other side, no need to pancake it. You can just turn around open up a small hole and your twist and then pull that twist through so because my hair is a little bit longer, I'm gon na have to pull it through again and then I saw hair sticking out so I'm gon na pull It through one more time and you can see - I didn't - pull my hair all the way through I just kind of bunched it in that little twist. That way, I didn't have any hair sticking out. So then, I'm just going to bobby pin everything into place. If you have thicker hair you're, probably gon na need to use several more bobby pins, and I used metal grip bobby pins from Sally Beauty are the best and will definitely make this up to secure for you. So then, I'm just gon na kind of go around and pancake those twists kind of pull around the sides of my head to make everything look a little bit more full and a little bit more messy and kind of undone. Then I'm just gon na kind of take some hair out on the front of my head. So now this is what your hair should look like. You can see how cute it already looks from the front. I am just going to take some texture, spray and spray. It towards the top. This is not necessary, but I'm just gon na kind of fluff it up a little bit. So it's not so flat to my head. So you could have easily added some curls to this hairstyle before you begin styling to kind of make it more formal, but this is a great hairstyle for work for school for everyday wear for prom. It'S super versatile and it definitely looks like you tried, looks like you gave it effort, but yet there was no braiding just twisting pancaking super easy. So hopefully you guys thought the same. Super cute - Looks super easy! Thanks so much for posting! :)

Heather Frampton: Thanks for an easy alternate hairstyle for our very hot 2019 Summer here in NE Ohio ( ...and other places, too!)! I wear my middle of my back length hair up or back in buns, and frequently wear hats. This one will work well with that.

Kerissa Ward: Love this!! twists and buns are some of my favorite hairstyles.

Mia Clément: I'm always looking for new ways to make the messy bun - currently I'd love to see a tutorial showing different ways to make a side bun for everyday wear. Love your videos - they're short but still very inspirational so keep up the good work

LindaLuxable: Love this!!!

J & K Plester: I find the term "pancake" makes me laugh, just given the term "flat as a pancake" combined the actions you are taking to fluff the hair BUT I enjoy it and it definitely helps me remember your term. :) Looks great btw - I apparently have thick hair and would need a minimum of 6 sections to achieve what you're doing... not to mention my hair flatly refuses to stay up via bobby pins.

Κατ Σ.: I love your videos!! You make them so easy to understand! Kisses from Greece!!

Lisa Amber: Just Gorgeous Your so pretty and I Love your Robe

Candice Sand: What is the brand of bobby pins you mentioned?
