ABOUT ME

Hey guys! I am a Canadian beauty "guru" - lol not really. I just love makeup, hair, fashion, design.. and I enjoy documenting these things. I'm not a false-eyelash, perfect nails, hair extensions kind of girl. My channel is for the everyday person - the lazy person, the person who colours their hair crazy colours once in a while, the person who has a budget and can't afford tons of expensive shit, the person who skips steps in the stereotypical beauty routine. This channel is evolving into something I'm really proud of. Join the fun, subscribe if you want, and we can be everyday people together. Y'know, if you like that kinda thing.

Hey guys today, I'm doing a hair routine tutorial, we're gon na be taking this wet mop into this very easy, quick effortless, like curly messy wave style. So let's get started also not wearing any makeup today, but don't really care because it is a hair video. Whatever this is a detangling spray, this is just a really cheap one from the drugstore Pantene one and then I'm just taking this paddle brush. This is one with very flexible bristles if you have a tangle teezer that would work really well as well. So I'm just gon na brush out my hair and then I'm going to find my part which, for this look is a center part. Then I'm gon na take my Nexus Pro mint, split and binding it leave-in treatment. If you have like an oil or like a cream or anything, that's just going to like smooth your hair before you blow-dry that will work just fine. As always, I will put all of the products used in the description bar, but just use whatever you have at home. Next, I'm going to blow-dry my hair and I'm gon na use a round brush. I really like hairy round brush that I'm embarrassed about and probably should've cleaned sorry and I'm just gon na use that to not really round brush my hair, but just kind of like pull my hair away from my scalp. So I'm not really doing this to get a super voluminous effect, but just so it doesn't like stick to my head and you'll also notice that I'm kind of pointing the like snout. That way, you call it the snout to the spout the hairdryer like in a downwards most motion that just like, makes the little baby hairs like dry downwards. If you know what I mean so that they're not like going every, which way and sticking up crazy, I got this brush from Sally's. It has really flexible plastic bristles also for bristles that are really good for, like shiny hair, a lot of people say this kind of brush, maybe isn't the best for your hair, but I really like it. I find my hair all. It'S really really soft. Now we're going to use a heat protection spray. My hair is totally dry now. This is fine Nexxus. I got this at the drugstore. You use whatever you got it home, gon na give that a good spray throughout and just brush my hair, and now I'm going to be doing the actual curling part, I'm gon na be using a pretty small, curling iron. This is like, I think, 3/4 inch. I could be totally wrong got it for, like $ 15 at Walmart. Now the whole trick to this whole look is taking really large sections and pairing it with this small curling iron and using the clamp to wrap it around a few times and leaving out the very ends of the hair. You can kind of see they're not holding on the heat for very long and then when it's still hot running through your fingers through it and messing it up, so that it sets and cooled kind of messy as well. So again, I'm just gon na take a large section like pretty much too big for the small curling iron, but that's what gives it like the messy effect gon na clamp. It curl it around a few times making sure to leave a good section. Unclamped you'll see you right up there, there's probably like an inch or two left out, not holding it on for very long letting it go, and then running and messing through my fingers just to give it kind of a more tousled effect and then I'm just gon Na do that, basically, all the way around my head and all the curls are going to be going away from my face now. Remember just take really large sections and just don't hold it onto very long, because if you do hold the heat on for too long, you are gon na get like actual curls and we're not really going for like actual curls and now it's time for hairspray, I'm Taking this off the hairspray, and I like to kind of pick up some pieces and hairspray underneath and on top and just kind of like scrunch it up and mess it up with my fingers. I'M not really coating it in hairspray, just giving a few like sprays. For some texture and the happy is basically it - I think it gives like a really pretty undone textured beachy wavy, almost curled, I don't care effect and it was really quick. I'M looking at the clock, this literally took me eight minutes for the styling portion of this video. So I hope you guys enjoyed and let me know if you can recreate this. I think this works really good on like medium length, hair anyway. Please subscribe. I love you so much I'll see you next time. Bye,

Alissa Lynn: So pretty! My hair is almost this long, I can't wait to try it out :)

Kerry: Damn, girl....your hair grows fast!! Thanks for the advice on a prior video about the Pantene Overnight serum. Started using it about a week ago and it leaves my hair nice and smooth.

Linda B.: I love this look so much! Thanks for sharing.

Karen Monzon: Hey jess! Thanks for all the videos...I've tried a ton of your tips and my hair is soo much better! If you get a second to answer a question it'd be so great ....If I use the same dye with a 20 volume developer will it be lighter than if I use it with a 10 volume developer?

pbthe first: I'm trying to decide which length to get my hair cut. Short or medium. You look great in both and I love how you style your hair both short and medium!

Janette Miau: Your hair ir shiny and bouncy, seems very good after bleaching! Have you find miracle product (ag reconstruct pr other) or it just takes time for hair to get in better shape after bleaching? Thanks, adorable!! ☺️❤️

Gabrielle Dean: you're gorgeous ! love this look ♡

emily: This video came at the perfect time as I was wrestling with my freshly cut hair this morning attempting to get it to wave..

Summer Abduallah: Omg your hair never looked better so silky shiny and pretty long , how did you grow it so fast ? I'm lovin' it ❤️

Susan: How long did it take for you hair to get healthy? And what heat setting is ur curling iron on?

Nicole Fernandez: Gorgeous :) love your hair color!? Did you use the wella t10? :)

Rachel Jackson: you're my fav makeup/hair channel just sayin! Trying this tomorrow

karen serrano: Your hair it's so long! what are you doing to grow it out?????????

yesthisiscat_: what's the inner and outer diameter of the brush?

BriarRose: I try and I try, but I just can't do this the same way!! My hair is shorter, more like how you had yours 6 months ago...but my curls are just coming out too tight and not loose at all. What temperature or heat setting do you have on this? I have thin, fine hair, so I've been using a medium heat setting...

Summer Abduallah: Btw you look beautiful even with no makeup on

kekeke86528: really like this

Amber van aert: your hair got so much better :o

Jennifer V: LMFAO Snout! I think it's referred to as a nozzle. Yes, blowing the hair from the root down the hair shaft smooths out the hairs cuticle to counteract the frizzies. Your friend,

Mandy _: Always when I do this it only holds for a few hours, before the waves just completely disappear and my hair falls flat again.. Any tips?

Linda Mills: ok, you're just plain adorable

Janette Miau: I can see (because of comments) which video is coming up soon
