This pretty knotted hair bun updo would make for a beautiful homecoming hairstyle. If you want to make this a full bun, just pick up smaller sections of hair and continue the knot all the way around the hair tie. Good luck!

Hey guys, since homecoming is just around the corner for some of you, here's a cute hairstyle. You can wear to the event this elegant, knotted side bun will work best on those with medium length, hair or even shorter. So if you want to see how I did this, then keep on watching. First off tie your hair into a ponytail and depending on where you want your bun, you can have it at the back at the top or you can even tie it to the side. Like meat, since this is another knotted hairstyle, you want to dampen your hair with water and apply mousse to it. This will not only prevent flyaways. It will make your hair easier to work with this. Well, if you have straight silky, smooth hair, then you can totally skip this step. Pick up a strand of hair from the side of your ponytail and divide it into two equal strands. Take a bottom strand place it over the top strand and make a left to right. Not now combine the strength you just tight together into one strand and pick up another strands below and again you want to repeat the same process and make a left to right. Not as you can see, this is the same knotting technique I used in my knotted headband hairstyle, so for those of you who haven't seen that video I'll place a link down below so you can check it out once again combine the two strands you just tied Together and then pick up another strand below and make a left to right, not so, basically what you're doing is not in your entire ponytail to create a fun shape, because I picked up large chunks of hair. I was only able to make half a bun shape, but if you want a perfect round, bun pick up small sections of hair and have it go all the way around the ponytail when you're halfway done, take some hair, pins or bobby pins and insert them right. Where the knots are to ensure that your bun stays in place, make sure you stick the bobby pins in between the knot and the base of your head. Make sure you have enough bobby pins for this, because you need to insert them in each knot when that's done continue to do the knot until you use up all the hair in your ponytail now, if you have long hair like I do, I don't think that This hairstyle will work out too well for you, because there'll be a lot of excess hair but feel free to check out my hair tutorial playlist, because I've made a ton of long hair tutorials for homecoming and prom. When that's done, take your bobby pins and insert them in the knots on the other side tie the end of the knot with an elastic band tuck it inside your bun and pin it down with a bobby pin. If you want to before you start the hair bun, you can take a strand of hair, wrap it around the hair tie to hide it, and that way it won't show up like this. I didn't really care because I was going to accessorize it with yup. You guessed it my flowery clip so here's the finished hairstyle. I think it's super pretty and elegant and you can wear it as high or as low as you like. Anyways have fun in your homecoming and thanks. So much for watching bye subscribe to my channel to be notified of new videos and don't forget to check out my other hair tutorial.
