Hey guys welcome back to my channel if you're new here my name is Marianna and I'm a blogger, influencer or youtuber. I love all things, beauty and I also have a skincare line called summer fridays. You can get that in the description box below if you're also new, here and you're not subscribed yet subscribe to my channel. So anyway, in this video, I'm showing you guys this hair tutorial. I recently got my hair cut. It'S usually a lot longer. I was holding on to the length and then I was just like you know what I want to cut it. This is like a medium long length of hair. So it's not long. It'S not short. It'S like somewhere in between I went to on at Ramirez Tran salon here in Los Angeles and he's so amazing. So I wanted something a little bit different and it's super texturized and I loved the length and the color my color is done by tawny at 9:01. She doesn't take new clients, but if you guys go there, everyone else is really amazing. So I got my hair cut and then for like a week I was like. I have no idea how to style. My hair, I was using the wrong curling irons and I was using the wrong products and just like the wrong techniques, it took me like a week and a half, or so I figured it out. I text one of my friends that does hair and he told me via text how to style it. So if you want to see how I style my new medium long haircut keep watching. So when I got in the shower, I used a bunch of different shampoos and conditioners, and after I got out of the shower, I use the detangler and a booster spray. I will link all those things in the description box below, but I blow dried, my hair with a round brush. I just like rough dried at first and then I went over the sections. So now it's all dry and I'm gon na section, my hair into two pieces and then I'm gon na start with the bottom section of my hair. So, starting with the bottom section of my hair, I'm just gon na brush it out and I'm using a jisu wide toothed comb. So I would keep a wide toothed comb on handi for this look because it's gon na really help with the styling. So I'm using a one-inch t3 curling iron. For this I like to use a smaller sized curling iron and then I'm gon na be curling mostly towards the root of my hair, and then I also have like a little bend towards the end and then the very ends will be straight with this. Look I'm going to curl the pieces in opposite directions with the pieces framing my face away from my face. So I'll start with a small piece, I'll curl the hair around the root hold it through and then pull it out at the end, you'll see so I'll. Curl it at the root hold it for a second, then give it another curling in and let it go. So while the hair is still warm, I want to take the brush and brush through it so that it becomes more of like a wave than a really tight curl. And sometimes I wait for my hair to cool to brush it out. If I really want it to hold the curl, but with this I just want it to be like more effortless and cool, so that piece was away from my face. The next piece I will curl towards my face so now with the next piece I'll curl. This one away and again I'm just taking the piece of hair, I'm curling it at the root like this, I'm letting that stay for just a second and then I curl the next little piece down and let it go it's kind of like a little flick of The wrist kind of motion, but the more you do it, the more you'll get used to it. So, while all this hair is cooling I'll just be sure to brush it through and you'll, see it's just like a nice little wave, and I want the ends to be more straight, so you don't need to really get a curling iron or you don't need to Get a straightener for this: you can just take the hair and straighten it on the ends with the curling iron. So this is how the curled side looks, and this is how the straight side looks. I'M going to do the same thing on the other side. Okay, so this is the bottom section of the hair: done, I'm going to go ahead and do the top section and I'm going to do the same thing for the top section. You can also hold the curling iron right side. Up like I was doing it or you can do it upside down I'll show you a couple pieces upside down. Just you can see where you're comfortable with so the same thing with the pieces around my face, I'm just gon na. Do it more towards the root and leave the end straight? Let it go and brush it through. So if you want to hold the curling iron upside down for this, you would just wrap it around at the base, mostly leaving the end straight and then, if you want just like this last second, before you release the curling iron, give it a little bend and Brush it through, I love this look cuz, it's really easy. It'S simple to do. I feel like with my hair type. It holds the curl for the next day, so it looks good the next day without really having to do anything. And if I do I'll just like recur all the pieces around my face just to give it a little bit more definition. But I feel like having a wide toothed comb like this really helps the look, look a little more effortless, okay, so that site is done. I'M gon na do the other side. The other side. I will show you with the curling iron, going the right side up. So you can see the difference, it's basically the same, it's just whatever you feel more comfortable with. I know some people, whether you're, like right-handed or left-handed. It becomes a little more comfortable to curl one way or the other, I don't mind doing it upside down, but sometimes it's like it's just a little more difficult so again, just taking it crying it towards the root, mostly just doing a little like flip and letting It go and then just kind of like running it through the ends and then brushing it through with the brush, and I'm almost done it. So you don't really have to do that. Much curling with this like length of hair and this style, it's not so difficult to do and I've been liking, and I think I cut my hair. Maybe it's been like a week and a half since I cut my hair and I've just at first I was like okay. I don't know how to do my hair at all. You guys were asking for a tutorial and I was like I haven't even figured it out yet so let me figure it out and now that I've like washed it a few times and styled it, a bunch and kind of experimented with it at first, I was Using a curling iron that was way too big, and then I was curling it more towards the end of my hair, and I couldn't figure out why it wasn't looking how I wanted it to look and then finally, I figured it out and now I'm so happy With it, I think it's so cute. I got rid of like a lot of the dead hair at the ends, which was really nice, because I feel like just from coloring and styling, and all this stuff like it was. I was trying to hold on to length and I just needed to like let it go okay. So this is my hair, just curled, which is fine, but I feel like really to make a look. Look like a look. You need products, so the products I'm using our orbit dry texture. I don't know how many times I've used this in a video, it's my absolute favorite, so I'm going to spray it through the roots. First, to give it a little bit of volume and then through the ends - and I feel like you, can see my hair really transform and how different it looks with using this product. Okay, so this is with the product. This is without the product so instantly. It makes it more voluminous and like texturized, so it's like a mixture of like a texturizing spray and a dry shampoo and a volumizer all in one, and I love how it makes my hair look so with with the help. Let me do the other side. Okay, so much better, so it looks really really good with the product. Now, on the ends of the hair, I'm just gon na use a leonor, greyl, styling cream for dry, thick or frizzy hair. I don't have dry thick or frizzy hair, but I just like maybe like this much of it. You don't need that much. I put it in my hands and then I just go through pieces of the hair. I got it on my forehead. I go through the pieces of the hair and it just kind of helps define the little pieces so that if you want it to look more texturized and PC, it does that there's so many great styling, creams and pomade. This one is a little expensive, but this bottle lasts so long and I just love the texture of it and it doesn't weigh down my hair, even though it's a styling cream. So I like to always: do it a little bit with the front pieces here in my hair through the front here and through the ends and any excess I just kind of like massage the hair a little bit, and if you need a little extra volume, you Can just take the same comb and just back home in certain areas so give yourself a little like you don't have to do like you know, teasing like back in the day where you have to really do the roots you can just kind of tease through your Hair to give yourself a little volume and texture - and the very last thing I do is just fill in my part a little bit. I wear a lot of sunscreen and I like my foundation a little bit warmer, so sometimes the scalp here and my head. I just feel like it's different colors. It'S definitely like an extra step. You don't have to do this, but this is just something I like to and especially if you have Gray's, this helps to cover up any of the roots. So you can just lightly tap this and it's just like the slightest different. So it's not like you're coloring in your whole part, just a little bit may feel like it makes my hair look fuller too, which I love, okay, guys, so that was it for this hair tutorial. I hope you like this look that I've been doing and my new haircut. I will link the products in the description box below if you like, this video, give me a thumbs up subscribe to my channel. If you're not and I'll, see you guys next time.
