What'S up guys today, I'm giving you guys some short natural hairstyles that mimic a mohawk faux hawk type of vibe, so I'm just gon na jump right into the video. This is like a really old wash and go, but today the only product that I'm using is my African pride pre-poo, and this like it says it's a pre-poo. It'S not normally used for the reason that I'm gon na use it for, but it has really good slip and it worked miracles in my hair when I use it as an actual pre-poo in my wash day routine before I had cut my hair. So I figured why not why I just found a bobby pin to my hair. That'S how you know I have them done Meyer, but why not use this as like, like a whole type of thing line gel, especially because this washing goes old anyway, so I'm gon na end up washing my hair soon and it'll help to tangle my hair. When I get to that point, so jumping right into it, the first time I'm gon na do I'm gon na grab like the front bang area of my hair and I'm gon na separate that and I'm going to apply some of the pre-poo to my edges and My actual container of my pre-poo is about half way going, saw me using it up. It'S really good as a pre-poo, but i thought why not try to to kill two birds with one stone, because I said that right, okay, so I'm using this as a gel and as you can see, my hair is like super slick. Okay and I'm just gon na grab like the two mid sections of my hair and put them into a ponytail to create the Mohawk feel I'm gon na separate, not even half way down, but just like a quarter. This little section here and I'm gon na take miles headband, double it and secure okay, I'm gon na flip out the ponytail and also the back of my hair cuz. It'S been an opponent all day. Please excuse my background, I'm currently washing my sheets and stuff. So my bed looks a little crazy, but now I'm gon na take out the clip from the bank area and I'm actually gon na put this bobby pin right back where it was. Surprisingly, it was in the right spot. So I'm just gon na twist. The front part of the bangs back, I'm gon na, pin it and let it fall. So it gives you like the little faux hawk effect, but I still like half-up half-down little faux hawk type of look. So that's number one. If you guys need like a full feel of what it'll look like, let me lay my edges really quick and I'm not adding any extra product, I'm just brushing them because, like I said this, people is like really really some like slippery. So it's easy to work with and, I didn't add any type of water to my hair, but this is the first time: okay, so next style I'm going to do the actual Mohawk, but I usually well the way I used to do. My Mohawks was just bobby. Pin my hair, but I'm not sure if that method will work, because my hair is shorter, so I'm gon na try two different methods: the first one I'm gon na, do the bobby, pin method, of course, so I'm just gon na apply a little bit more pre-poo To the back part of my own, like the lower sections of my hair that I didn't apply to before, and I'm just gon na, just like everything up towards the middle and I'm gon na go in with my bobby pins. Now, with the bobby pins, I usually cross them, and also you want to pick out your hair as much as you can, so you get as much volume as possible now yeah with the bobby pins. I always cross them, so this first section bring it up. Put one bobby pin in there and then cross the second one over top of that one creating an X so that the hair doesn't go anywhere and I do that all the way to the back. So I can't go any more so a bobby pin, I usually put the bobby thing going down first, and then I cross the one going up over at that one: okay, like that, and I'm going to put the pin back where the Bing was the first time. Okay, then, to the other side, and my hair is like so slick and it's not getting like hard Hollywood, normal job and Festus. This stuff smells like really really good at so that's always a place, but I don't know I'm trying you know different techniques with my different products, simply because, if it doesn't work, I can always wash out my hair and with this product you wash it out anyway, When you actually do use it, so I said why not just use it your styling, it's hard for me, the crisscross seasons, on the side cuz. I can't really reach all the way over there and my right hand is my dominant one, but try as much as I can. Okay and if you need to add some extra ones, could you feel like it's not sitting up high enough go ahead, so this method still kind of does work for my hair? Okay - and there is your mohawk - oh and I love it because mine's shorter now, so it just stands straight up and not have to worry about it, falling over always late, I'm height, okay. So this is the first method to the mohawk and actually turned out really well, so I'm gon na take this down and then I'm gon na go to the next mohawk my thing and then we're doing the last style. Okay, so the next method for a mohawk. I'M going to put my hair into three different sections, so first section, I'm gon na pull the very front and like when the edges like where my sideburns and stuff are gon na pull all of that into one individual ponytail. And I don't you like to use colors and all that stuff, especially when my hair's like in a washing bill, because that's not gon na, do anything but create tangles. Now, I didn't add any more pre-poo cuz like if it gets messed up you just brush it back and ain't slick, something right back up, so I'm gon na put this one more towards my forehead. Okay, that's number one! So the second woman it's going to be towards the middle, I'm just gon na split this back half into two. You know heaven natural hair makes you have really strong arms. Like seriously my camera's finna die, so I'm gon na. Do these points out and I'll be back? Okay, I'm back! I didn't do anything but secure that ponytail and now I'm going to do the very bottom and, like I said I don't have to add anything more simply because I did it for the last two styles. So I still very slick secure this last point. Just read dumb like that and there we have the skinny hawk and it doesn't go all the way down to the bottom, which Mohawk is you guys's favorite? I like how tall this one sits, but I like how wide the other one wants to. I don't know like what this one has, the other one doesn't, but I mess with this one, this one's pretty cute, okay, so the last style. Actually, I'm going to keep this top ponytail in and I'm just gon na take out the bottom. Okay, and this one is like the frohawk because it doesn't even go halfway down the head, it's just more towards the front, but it's like in the middle. So it looks like a mohawk in a way kind of how the first one was like a mohawk illusion. So we have this and I'm gon na take some pre-poo once again and I'm add it to the back, because I need the mat there in the kitchen. Okay, okay and brush it up y'all see how good that this is not that I'm gon na take this headband. I have right here and I usually use just to do a puff. If you guys want me to do a separate video for the puff. Let me know, but this is just a headband that I cut so I'm gon na take the headband, I'm gon na put it under it. The first ponytail bring it under the hair in the back and I'm gon na cross it just like I'm about to do a puff and I'll. Let the hair gather up like that, bring it around. You can tie it under the very first ponytail. Okay and oh there we go. If you don't want that line, I mean I don't really care for it, but just brush the hair up and add a bobby pin and you know get a little. Let it rip rid of that line and then fix your edges up if you need to I'm filling the row extra sideburns today and I'm just using the pritho a little bit of extra peat pre-poo to get the curls popping on the side. Okay - and this is the last style - this is the faux hawk now this one is my favorite. If I have to be quite honest, yeah - and that's basically it - I did all of these Styles, just using my African pride pre-poo once again, this is a very cool alternative um for a gel, also because it's like really soft on my hair, it's the most really Good and then also like, I said, if you're doing it on old hair, there's no problem because eventually gon na wash your hair in the pre-poo is to help detangle and condition your hair anyway. So it's not hurting it. If anything, it's helping it. So it's lit. I love these hairstyles comment below. Let me know what you guys think um, if you guys have any updated hair styles that you guys want me to do since my hair is shorter. Now, just let me know, and then also you guys asked me all the time in the comments um, the miracle moisture line is available on naturally curly calm, Walmart, Calm, Dollar General in stores they're, probably about. I think they're like four to five six dollars between four and six dollars, all their products individually, so yeah. This is definitely my favorite line right now, because their products are so versatile and you don't have to use them just for the one thing that they say they're used for so once again, let me know what you guys think about these styles. I'M loving this one. This is my favorite, but thanks for watching - and I will see you guys -
