Hi star babies welcome back to my channel if you're new, my name is Gabriella. I make videos about astrology, self-care mental health, skincare afterlife, theater life and whatever else I feel like talking about so, if you're down for that, take a gander on my channel and hit that subscribe button and follow my social media down below. If I tickle your fancy, I actually tried to film this a while ago, and someone left a comment on my Instagram today, because I posted a throwback photo of me with my pixie cut and like one of my favorite times of the haircut and someone was like. Hey, I got a pixie cut because of your video I'll link that my video somewhere about reasons to get a pixie cut of what to know before you get a pixie cut. When I had a pixie cut and a lot of people got their pixie cut because of that video, so that's amazing, but she kindly said yeah I got a cut. It wasn't for me. Thank you for not blaming me that you didn't like the pixie cut but um, so she wanted tips on growing it out. Sorry, I need to drain my cabbage. Ah I'm about one year into my pixie grow out stage, and it's now hitting my shoulder all right. I only had two haircuts in this period. I'M gon na just include photos, so I'm gon na swoop to the side. Here I had a buzz side because I was like a hair model, so they really really got me short. So I had a pixie cut. I think for about two years, but we'll start when I started growing it out. So this is a photo of me and my sister's wedding and it had buzz signs whatever whatever so that's even more extreme than a normal pixie cut, because people already say don't cut over your ears is so hard to grow out. And then, when you have part of your hair long and part of it, buzzed like what so originally I just had one side buzzed and in order to grow it out evenly, I buzzed both sides and the back and we just kind of faded it, because what Are you gon na do when you have one side really short and the other really long? So, basically, if you have an asymmetrical cut, I would work first on evening. It out, I mean obviously not where your part is like you're gon na have longer hair up here and then short over here, but even that out, so that you're not like you, have this much growth and then this side has this much. So that's kind of the first thing I did to make sure everything was because I knew I was gon na start growing it out. Then I went away for six months, six and a half months to do a theater contract in Utah, and I think this was the key to a lot of the bulk of the growth. I wasn't using heat on my hair and nearly at all, it was in the Sun a lot, but mostly I wore hats to protect it but yeah. I wasn't styling it with heat every day. I wasn't washing it every day. Use dry, shampoo, dry! Shampoo is definitely your friend do not wash your hair every day. If you can help it guys, let those oils sink into your hair, I'm the queen of taking body showers and not washing my hair, no shame about it. My hair loves it. So, there's that oh yeah, I was wearing wigs every night in the show, so I just would pin my hair up and then wear a wig. I didn't have to style it or put any product on it, so try to work with your natural hair texture. This is my natural hair, just blow-dry it a little bit, but my hair is very very straight, but if you have curly hair, it's gon na help it even more because the frustrating thing, if you have straight hair is that you can see every like right now. You can see every little layer of where the haircut is so like right now. I can't really have a blunt cut, because these layers are still growing out and I don't want to cut off all this length here. So if you have curly hair or if you can make your hair texture at all, that really helps to cover up the little layers that you can see and that's another key you just just try not to cut your hair. I cut it two times once when it was getting really mullet II in the back and they did an undercut. So basically they the under layers of my hair, the ones that were obviously growing out the fastest cuz they're at the bottom of my head. So it looks like it's growing out faster because it's not all the way up here. They cut those shorts so that by the time these layers got long. This would be about even - and I still have that my layers in the back are pretty short, but now they're, even with this stuff in the front. So I got a trim when I had a mullet because, honestly, if you don't want a mullet, you don't have to put up with a mullet. People are like whatever just don't cut your hair, don't touch it. But I'm sorry I'm a Leo my friends, but everybody likes to look good. Nobody wants to have hair that they truly think is atrocious. So, if you're already moving on from the pixie cut, because you don't like it or you're sick of it, I know you want to get to your goal fast, but you can't, you know, be feeling dumpy for several months when it's still growing out. You deserve to feel good, so get cut with people who know shortcuts. Do you research about pix it? Obviously, you should be doing that, so that was great, that first cut and then my second cut was when it was write short bob lengths, and so i just kind of wanted to blunt everything out and i did like a little french bob. So let me go through my Instagram, really quick and kind of talk about the things that helped me with grow out and what styles I liked, as it was growing out, because that's you know and I'll show you pictures here, because that's really, what helps is the Styling and I'm not good with hair, I'm not a hair stylist. None of that, so you know. If I can do it, then anyone can do it. So the thing that I loved for a long time was the Oribe original pomade that basically, until I started looking like, I had a bob sorry, you don't mind my knee up here until I started looking like, I actually had a bob rather than a pixie. That was what I used all the time. I used it to comb down the top of my hair when it was frizzy. I used it to slicked back the side, even when it was going behind my ear. I am obsessed with that. I will recommend it to everyone at anyone. I'Ve gotten my friends on it. It'S fantastic, it's a little pricey, but for me the texture was fantastic for, like my coarse hair, that just doesn't want to be tamed by some kind of soft clay. It needs control and for me, when I was growing out the pixie, that's when it needed control, otherwise it would just go everywhere. So I was making sure that the front was nice and smooth. You can see I accessorized with some hair scarves to look a little less sloppy while it's growing out it started growing out over my ears. I was kind of loving, like the Peter Pan. Look so that wasn't an issue for me. The thing that I started changing about the styling was when it got long enough for me to push behind my ears. As you can see in this photo, I start kind of wearing it back off my face because the layers were getting really long in the front. So I think that with that styling I just used a bit of pomade and get back. I started wearing almost like a puppet or was licking my hair back. I love that, if you're into that, you can also use headbands to push your hair back off your face scarves you can get into baseball caps. Clearly I was really into baseball caps and hats at the time and then I started being able to push it behind. My ears, so I really liked that period of time, because I don't know it just felt a little bit more mature and sweet and feminine. I would also take bobby pins and actually pin the side of my hair back. If I had enough hair. This, I think, is when it was most awkward because it wasn't a pixie, but it wasn't a bob, but I still managed to make it look cute in this photo. I pinned it back with two gold pins and then I wore the front around my face and I believe I actually pinned I just wore some front details and I pinned like if I had a pixie right now, I would pin this back. This would be my little bang and then I would pin this back too, and then this was obviously short, so I was pinning both sides of my hair back eventually just have to find what works for you in these photos. You can see I'm slicking it behind my ears, and this is right after that cut that took off my mullet, so I actually loved this style. I felt super sleek and super sexy because I would wear it behind my ear like this and on this side like this as well, and it looks weird long hair, but I thought it looked fierce loved it. I also learned to enjoy earrings because that kind of distracts from the cut and I started enjoying hair accessories. I was wearing a lot of tortoiseshell headbands from j.crew, giving you a j.crew like 2006 5, then once it got long enough to start looking like a very short bob, or rather these pieces got too long to actually sweep like a front bang. That'S when I started incorporating a little bit of heat, and I would just do it on the top layers that were long enough. The short layers were not even long enough to run through a straightener. I didn't never bought a mini straightener. I just have a normal one, and so I would start like this with a straightener waving the pieces away from my face, so you can see in this photo. My curls are going away from my face. It'S opening everything up this side. The other side. I waved a little bit and then tucked behind the ear and left it a little messy. I loved this style and then then this was the tough phase. You guys, I'm telling you. I really did not feel pretty with this length because it wasn't a bob. It was really uneven, as you can see, it looked okay when I would make it wavy, but it was still just it felt heavy. It felt like everything was one length and it felt like I looked like I had a brick on my head, so once I so then I got it cut and started wearing it super sleek for a little bit very French trying to do that sort of thing And that was the second cut I got in these 14 months of growing it out and again that was just I went in and I was like hey. I want to do kind of a French Bob I want to make it seem, like all my layers are pretty much grown out to the same length, and I just wanted to make it look like. I asked for a bob rather than something in between pretty easy. You guys I've, you know I've just been using my straightener to texturize my hair and now you know it feels like, like that. It'S gotten to this length - and this is still not ideal, especially not straight, but I don't think it looks terrible. It doesn't look like a defined style, but it doesn't look terrible and now I feel like I've. You know gotten I've pretty much grown out of pixie. It'S gon na be tough when this starts flipping up on my shoulders, like Tracy Turnblad vibes, but otherwise I really feel like I got through the toughest of days with this, so I hope it helped to walk you through my my sort of process. Some quick tips would be honestly guys. I did not take vitamins at all half the time I wasn't eating healthy. I was eating so much junk food in Utah. So I'm just being honest with you, I wasn't doing hair masks all the time. I wasn't doing a ton of crazy treatments, I will say I always use hair oil always always always. This is the one I have. I got it in like a sample box several months ago. It'S the l'oreal extraordinary oil lustrous oil suit serum. It smells really good, but I know that a L'Oreal is not cruelty free at the moment, so some of you guys might not be interested in this and there are other options that are cruelty, free that I think are probably great, and I know that you know A lot of these drugstore products, they kind of have those silicones that coat the hair, but sometimes for my hair texture. You need it. So just just follow what you know about your own hair texture and what makes your hair most manageable so always use an oil, and also I love a good hair mask again. Like I said I don't do them all the time, but now I'm finding. I need them and if you do style, your hair with heat like if you do that for work or if you just do that to feel good about yourself. That'S the style. You like definitely use hair, masks and be really kind to your hair. Use the heat protection before I know you guys know that, but I was just in a show where we didn't use wigs and I had to curl my hair every night and my hair was just screaming. So I was using the Moroccan oil treatment mask for a while, and now I've moved on to the Brio G. Oh, don't despair, repair, deep conditioning mask, and this has no silicones sulfates or parabens. I really like this got it from Sephora and it's 98 % naturally derived cruelty free. I believe it's vegan as well. I switched shampoos all the time. I can't say there was one that I was using. That helped me grow bottom line, realize it's just hair. It will grow, try to eat as healthy as you can try to drink your water probably take a multivitamin that would probably help my hair grow faster. I should probably get on that. Don'T be so hard on yourself, it's hair and you can make it work. So yeah, I hope you guys found this helpful and yeah. I'M not gon na say don't get your hair cut, don't touch your hair at all. Again, you guys need to feel good. So if you feel like, I need a cut to just give me an actual look to make me look like. I have a style, and not just this weird mop on my head, go ahead and do that do whatever makes you happy? That'S all I want for you guys, and so, if you're growing out your pixie, I'm sending you my strength, and I know that you got this look at my long, lustrous hair. You can be here too, if only you believe you know it's funny about the pixie grah is now every time I go dance when I had short hair, I always was like so pissed at girls with long hair that would like whip their hair in my face, Because I was like okay, we get it like. You have long, hair, it's fine, but now I like whatever I'm dancing, I'm dancing in the mirror, I'm rubbing my hair all of my face. So yes, you guys. I hope this video was not totally like useless to you, but again, yes, subscribe to my channel check out my social media below. I have tons of pixie inspiration photos on my Instagram if you're interested, if you want, I think I had some of the best pixie cuts that I've ever seen. So if you want inspiration, there's a ton on my Instagram and I don't mind you bringing those photos into your stylist whatsoever. The person who did most of my pixie cuts, especially when it was pink, was Damon footer, a true, a salon in Studio City, and then I can't remember her last name but Ashley at beauty box salon over here in East LA did my buzzed sort of pixie Look if you're interested in that then Robbie at gummy and beauty in silver link. I want to say where is it Echo Park? I don't know so we're like. I think he did the French little French Bob and then who else? Oh I went to. There was a salon in st. George Utah that caught off my mullet for me lunatic fringe lunatic French. I think her name was Britney. I can't quite remember, but everything I mean it's a beautiful, wonderful salon and I would totally keep going there if I lived in st. George. Actually, if I'm going there this summer, I'm definitely gon na get my hair cut uh, so yeah, if you guys, are in the California or Utah area. I was glad to give these creative peeps a shout out that made this grow out period, much more enjoyable. For me, I hope you guys enjoyed this video and I'll catch you in my next one huh bye, guys

cнarвry -: Anyone else have a pixie then miss their old hair and try to grow I out....then wish they have their old pixie cut or just me

jax: Another tip: if it's at the mullet stage and you don't wanna cut it, throw it in a super low ponytail/pigtails and Bobby pin the side pieces to look like it's all together. I did this constantly and it's actually really cute.

Catalina.: I shaved my head 27th January so I’m looking for every single video with the words “growing” and “hair” in the same sentence

Shes Lunatic: Tbh, it was you who made me inspired to cut myself a pixie. I cut it myself at 3.00 am on a thursday morning (I don't recommend it lol). It looked surprisingly good. My dad fixed it a bit and it looked even better. I've had my pixie for about four months now. I know that the growing out process will be a pain in the ass, but I'm sure that I can handle it. My mullet is starting to grow, so I'll have to probably cut it soon (the mullet I mean). I have straight and pretty thick hair.

pppotatoes: I mean HOW did yo know I needed this video so badly lmao. I also watched your vid before I got my pixie!! I felt great at first and honestly I think a really short pixie looks good on me but I decided it wasn’t for me and now I’m 2 months into growing it out. I’ve been feeling so down because I don’t feel pretty with this and I’m so bummed that i have to put up with it for another year this gives me some hope though that I can look decent in the various stages

Terry: I'm growing out my pixie. But damn, sometimes I feel like going back. And this video is making me want to cut it again.

Nessa Mo: Please don't ever delete this video! It is my inspiration as I grow my hair out. It's hard because at times, I simply want to revert back to simply keeping it at a pixie but I miss my long hair. Thank you!

Hailey Geertgens: i used to have hair to my ribs..very thick and wavy and coarse..but BEAUTIFUL! I started chopping it due to damage because I was crazily changing my mind with hair dyes(thanks depression)...never again! I grew it all the way out to my shoulders, bleached it and chopped it again...that was in November and I cut it yet again in April...this time I am DETERMINED to grow it out again. I miss my locks, I love the pixie, but I've had 3 now...and it's time to get myself back. I know how to grow one out and how awful it can be, that being said the journey of watching your hair grow is awesome! This color and length look fantastic on you! You looked RADIANT AND WERE GLOWING IN THIS! Loved it!

rhiannonm: Growing my hair out after having it short for years. I loved short hair and even shaved my head once and loved it but I’m ready for a change :) I feel like the number one tip to growing ur hair out and looking good is to already be gorgeous, as you are

Abby Carpenter: I got a pixie cut and right away I missed my hair and realized it just wasn’t me:( I get anxious a lot because I genuinely don’t feel pretty with it and I feel like it’s never gonna grow out. I’m hoping that when it’s all grown out I’ll say wow that went fast!! Pray for me hahaha

Diana Calderon: I’m at the awkward stage of my pixie cut, I’ve been trimming the back to make it even but your video made me more excited to keep growing it. Thank you very much!

Alexa Likes: I got a short bob right after I saw your pixie cut video. I went from waist length, to lob and then finally short bob two weeks ago. I LOVE IT! I love these videos too!

Charge Li: This is so helpful! I had a pixie for about 2 months and finally decided to grow it to my original length (About mid-back) 6 months ago. I'm now in the mullet phase and I HATE it. So this video is super reassuring that I can chop it off without ruining my hair growing process! Edit: A tip for the mullet phase, if you tie back the top half of your hair and leave the bottom part, it actually really cute and it looks like everything's even!

Tina P: Thank you so much for your insightful video. I've had long and short, and when it's short, I kick myself for having done it. I'm still in the trimming off the mullet as it grows out stage and it's so mentally challenging not to just shave it back down to a very short pixie. But there is hope! As you have described, I invested in some hair scarves - those have become fun to play with.. but even more - I've picked up a few cute LONG wigs! Amazon has some really nice and really ones that won't break the bank. They're super fun to switch up and it helps keep you sane while waiting for your own hair to grow out. Again - thanks so much for the video, I'm now a subscriber!

Sarena Kaschmitter: I've been having second thoughts about my pixie lately. I've had it for about a year and have been missing the cute braids and updos I used to do. This really made me feel confident about starting to grow it out and I really appreciate the advice you gave on the different styles you tried out! Will definitely come back to this during college!

Filicity Comeaux: I can't say thank you enough ! I shaved all my hair off and went to pixies, currently (painfully) growing it out to a bob. Great and real advice, I feel better after watching this.

jktm: i've never had a pixie cut and do not want it but i've been dying my hair for two years when I decided to just stop and grow out my natural hair that would be healthy cuz rn my hair is sooo damaged it's no joke. So I like watching stuff about hair growth in general and wow your hair really looks so shiny and healthy and you are so gorgeous! I am on my 4th month of growing out my hair and it's growing so slowly :( but I am super super excited to cut the damaged coloured hair all off one day!

Amanda Cayton: Girl, THANK YOU I have yet to get passed that awkward stage (pixie rocker for 5 years now), and you gave me some serious inspiration! I love how real you are in this video. Its like we had a legit convo over coffee #doingitright

Helen Anna: This was super helpful! Thanks for all the photos of the grow-out process ❤️

Melanie Gillett: Amazing, I did a pixie in december and I'm about 8 months into my horrible mullet, definitely gonna take some of your tips

Kristen Rubio: SUPER CUTE! I'm growing out a darling cut and I can't even stand to look in the mirror on some days. I'm in the short slicked back stage right now but I stick a bobby pin in one side so my hair isn't in my face all day. Thanks for doing this :)

octopussy: I wanted a pixie cut for so so long but never really dared to get one until a couple weeks ago I started searching for inspo and I came across your video which gave me more confidence to do it, so thank you for that. On another note I don’t know if you’ve heard this before but you kinda (highkey) remind me of Paget Brewster the actress embodies “Prentiss” in criminal minds ps: you look amazing in all of your hair stages tbh ❤️

Krusty Krissy: This made me feel so much more positive towards growing my hair out, I got a pixie cut because I had to, my hair was fried and I don’t enjoy it at all

Donny Brkic: That hair looked absolutely gorgeous throughout the entire journey. She looks great with all of those lengths!

Family Time: You are beautiful! I cut a pixie but i am thinking about letting it grow next year. You made it look so beautiful and definitely made me want to try all of it even more. Thank you for all the ideas.

arin: I’ve been on this journey too many times to count, and I broke after almost a year of growing it out and went super short. I’ve lost every last scrap of confidence I had, I don’t know if I can do it again. :(

Emi: I'm at the mullet phase so... THANK THE HEAVENLY GODS WERE IN QUARANTINE!

Esmin: currently growing out a short pixie cut. I buzzed my hair off late this summer and it’s growing so quick! I’ve had to cut the bottom twice now because it’s entered mullet territory. Before I buzzed it, I had an undercut and shaved sides anyway (a sorta deathhawk undercut combo) but I have such thick hair that I could wear it like a regular lob or sweep it to the side for the shaved sides. I’m going to try to achieve that look again and I think it’ll take like another year and a half but I don’t regret cutting it for the journey I went through. I miss my long hair but honestly, another year or two isn’t long and totally worth appreciating my face and style more

Jesslyn Giovanni M: i saw your video the other day and decided to get a pixie. This is day 2 of being a pixie girl. It turned out amazing and liberating. Thank you so much Gabriella for making that video!

Matthew Demetrio: The layers being shorter on top doesn’t look bad It actually looks good and gives shape and dimension

moon: Me *is in mullet stage* : .. i should trim it Also me:... *ME DEALS WITH IT BCZ TO LAZY TO TRIM IT*

Fiona Winter: Thank You LORD! I had a buzzed super short pixie and am in month 2 of growing it out.... dreading my impending mullet but seeing your hair now looks so long I didn’t think It would be that long after 12 months so its a relief to see the transition isn’t that bad - thanks for the tips x

Hannah: Love how confident you are! Every „hair-phase“ looks great on you☺️ is your natural hair color black ? How long do you want your hair to be ?

Bonnie Yacconi: Thank you! This was very helpful! I got a pixie in Feb and then retouch in May. I have some medical issues and was losing my hair, bad. I was trying to save it by going short before going to wigs. So with some medical issues worked out lots of vitamins, oils and no heat; my hair loss has stopped. My hair has always been what makes me feel pretty. When I got it cut it was long enough to donate and it was still shorter than I have worn it in the past. Anyway, my hair is thick, coarse and wavy so your tips are super appreciated! I'm off to shop for headbands.

kokohai: I’m growing my hair long because it’s been short for years but honestly,, pixie cuts are superior

Erin Haff: I have been in the mullet phase for like 4 weeks and finally got a salon appointment to chop off the back! this video really helped put my hair growth in perspective. Also you look amazing in every phase!

Devin Ludvigson: Thank you so much for making this video! I’m growing out a pixie, feeling really frustrated, but your video was so encouraging! You rock!

Kiki Meiland: Absolutely love this video! Was feeling kind of pessimistic about growing out my buzz cut but this video and the pictures and styling tips you incorporated really helped me!

Shannon Crossan: I've had my hair super short for more than 4 years now, and I absolutely love it, but I've been wanting a change, and have been contemplating growing it out to a short bob. It's been almost 4 months since I last got it cut (I used to cut it monthly), and this video was very helpful in determining where I'm at and where I should go from here. I'm def entering the mullet phase, and wasn't sure if i should go get it cut or power thru it, and i think I'm gonna look into cutting it now.

SchwartzandSockz: After watching so many videos of growing out pixies I realized how quickly my hair grows.. I should really never complain again thank you for this realization

Stefani Saranchuk: Super helpful and honest. And you looked flawless through all the stages

Letitia Rachel Michael: Thank you for this video, I cut my hair in Dec 2019 and now it looks like a Chinese Bob, I've come back to your so many times through each stage I've been through!!! So helpful!! I need to cut my mullet now but we're stuck in lockdown and I'm a Vigro going nuts lol

Hope Mackenzie Frey: I’m not doing this now, but I do know that sometime in the next few years I’m going to shave my head and grow my hair out as long as I can without dying it, and this was actually really helpful and gives me hope that I won’t look terrible while growing it out!

Ishita Sindhu: God this is what i needed rn, im going through the embarrassing pixie phase and i want them to grow back so desperately! I'm a leo too and your video helped me get a little confidence back. I'm beautiful even if my hair is short!!!

Fleur Joesten: I'm in the "brick on my head" phase and it's really weighing down my confidence. I'm so glad I'm not the only one feeling this.

Katura Nix: I got my head shaved in September of last year and I'm just now getting to a good pixie cut. I went to get the back trimmed and she cut almost all of my hair back off. Growing is so frustrating sometimes. Thanks for the advice.

unapologetically me: I LOVE this video thank you for showing all of the stages and how your rocked each length ♡ you're gorgeous ♡ I'm finally at the pixie length after losing all my hair to alopecia cant wait to try the "Peter pan" look

Nikki Taylor SkyHigh Retrievers: I’ve had a had for a few years. I absolutely love it. My problem is that I have a really hard time finding a stylist that can cut it correctly. That’s the major reason I want to grow it out. It’s still already driving me nuts.

convictedminion: Great video! I'm planning on cutting my hair very short to get back to my natural hair color (so I can dye it a different, lighter color) and wanted to see how the grow-out process would be. This video was very informative. Thanks!

Musingsatcoco: Thank you for this. You are lovely and very well spoken. I am much older than you and am growing out my silver hair (pandemic result but loving it). Got it cut short but want to get all dye out so want to go for pixie next week but have had them before and, cute as the are, heck to grow out. Your tips are awesome and helpful.

Mary Nejatifar: This is so helpful being almost 3 months out of my quarantine buzzcut!!! Thank you!

Haley Beebe: I’m 3 months into growing out but I’m pregnant and my hair is growing super fast. I think I’m in the mullet phase, it’s super long on top and short underneath so it’s currently going up in a little half top knot to let the undercut grow out. Can’t wait to get where you are!

Eddie B: Thank you so much for this video. Iv just had a pixie cut for the first time and hate it and want to start the grow out Thank you

Samantha Ritchie: i shaved my head in july of 2019 and following that i had a really hard time with self image and all of that. since then i have watched this video numerous times and i can say whole heartedly that it is the only video on youtube that gave me hope & made me feel like i could get through it

Saint Tube: I loved this video so much! I have a mohawk, I've had it for the past 2yrs and I think I've made my final decision to let it grow out and this video helped me allot, you're lucky to have the hair you have, cuzfor my hair I need allot of product to keep it look and feel and be healthy, the only thing i hate is when my sideburns come in, i have naturally wavey hair so when my sideburns come it, it curls up allot and goes in m ears and it never cooperates with me, but I'mma try my best to fight thru it! Thnx for making this video! Subscribed!

Katie Lou: I got my hair cut in 2017. I've had it REALLY short. And in all the times (starting at the begining of 2019) I wanted to grow it out it began to irritate me and I gave up and cut it again. This really helped me. I think imma buy a wig see what it looks like. I've currently got the sides and back shaved (but growing out and it's very annoying cause it keeps curling into my ears and tickling me) and the top if my hair is like long - when I put it in front of my face it only reaches my eyebrows. I've been trying to grow it. It's taking forever but this video really helped. Thank you sm

Zana Jipsen: i've had a very short pixie for around 6 years now and since it's growing out already during quarantine, i figured i'd see if i can make it work! thanks for the great tips!

long yarn: Scorpio w/Leo rising here - am growing out my asymmetrical pixie I've had for several years (at least 13) and went to my stylist and showed her what I was looking to "grow towards". I was born with stick straight hair and with the onset of menopause it went curly! I've embraced the Curly Girl Method (mostly) and am having a blast figuring out what products work for me (my bank account isn't having as much fun tho, heh). Wish I had half as much hair as you, and LOVE the pink! When my hair turns completely white I'm going to rock me some electric blue! Rock on sweetie, you look great!

Ruthie: This is great. I’m about to get a pixie and the only thing I’m scared of is when I eventually want to grow it back out haha Thanks for sharing!

Miruna Plavache: This video helped me a looot! Thank you for showing us the progress of your hair ❤️

Hélio Philiac: I decided I'm growing my hair out a few days ago. I had a pixie YEARS ago, and am still traumatized by the "grow out" period. I was down to shoulders in 6 months the last time. But all of the in between was atrocious. I am doing it different this time thanks to your video! BTW. You *MAN HANDLED* that mini bob, it looked super cute with the waves.

Moodymeb: Thank you so much for this video! It really helped me feel better about my hair! ❤️❤️

Katie Ussery: I’ve been growing out my pixie since august of 2019 and every now and then I come back to this video to give me some hope in my process

cachecache sarah: This video is so useful to me , thank you so much !! I shaved my head one year ago and until now I cut my hair every month but now I would like to grow it up so thank you so much there is not many videos that useful on YouTube so I'm glad you did it ! Have a nice day ! (And btw sorry if there are grammar mistakes, I'm 16 and English isn't my first language but I would be very grateful if you could correct me )

Bobbi de Haan: Very helpful video! I got my first pixie awhile back and now my favorite salon doesn't have a schedule that meets my needs and I'm afraid to try a new one. The last time I did the cut was not that good. All that being the case, I have decided to try and grow it out, at least long enough to look decent.

walao eh: Shaved my head for charity last year and my hair is now a pixie! Looking forward to growing it out man

Emm1999💋: I appreciate the thought behind this video, you actually know how frustrating it is to try and grow it out it’s saddening but it’s just hair it’ll grow one day. You gave great tips and you gave me a lot of hope.

Chloe Decker: I've had short hair since I was about 13 and 6 years later I'm finally ready to grow it out and this video really helped

Donna Seymour Stapleton: Bleached & murdered it for the trillionth time after having already cut it several times this year! Growing mine out taking double prenatals & getting back on my hair skin & nails vitamins! W my it works global ❤️

Cath Nailtheday: Your hair looks fabulous! We started growing ours out at the same time

Madd3p96: I didn't even get a pixie cause i wanted one. My hair had been overprocessed and I just needed a reboot to grow it out and thinking of how much healthier it will look now makes me excited, so i can deal with the awkward uneven growth.

Priscilla Rodriguez: I appreciate your video, it’s been the most helpful video I’ve come across! I’m planning on going shorter than a pixie. I’ll be donating my hair also. I’m looking into finding a stylist that specializes in pixie and clipper cuts. I never thought it would be this hard to find someone! By any chance can you please send a link for the pomade, I didn’t find it on Amazon. Your video’s are helpful and informative, I loved almost all your cuts so far! Thank you!

thebest_twin: This gives me so much inspiration and hope for growing out my hair. (Didn’t cut a pixie, but rather I’m growing it out from losing it to chemotherapy). Can’t wait to try some of these when my hair is finally long enough!

Radka Turková: thanks for this honest video! I got a pixie earlier this year. I loved it, looked amazing in it, but haven't realized how high maintenance this cut is! I am getting into that mullet stage right now, plus my hair is super thick (good genes!), it looks awkward, bulky and I HATE IT! glad it's winter and I can wear hats :D

PretzelRoll BreadBowl: super helpful! been stuck in the mullet phase for a couple of months now, and my friends keep thinking my hair looks weird. this advice should help that. thanks!

Mindy Bristow: I am actually starting to grow my pixie. I have started a dozen times in the 5 years that I've had one, and I see this amazing pixie that I HAD to have and wham, we're back at pixie. Right now, the top is a bit longer, so I am going to get it shortened and texturized up top so it's more even with the sides (now about an inch and a half long) and I'm just gonna let it grow. It being as even as possible all around is VERY important for a smooth grow out. Another tip...STAY OFF of your Pinterest or wherever you usually see cute pixies. Stay away from that temptation lol trust me!!

Lisa Selzer: Thanks for this video I am not at all a hair girl. I chopped off my hair almost a year ago and I felt very bad with my hair growing out.. So I really like how you talk about the phases you really liked ❤ uplifting. Have a great day!

Kinga Długa: Thank you for that video :D You brought me back my faith in looking normal and pretty when growing out my hair <3

Erica Sanders: This is the best pixie grow-out video I've seen! Thank you so much! I'm going to grow out my pixie for the third time. Good luck to me!

Emma Smyth: I'm growing out a pixie cut i've had for over ten years. Currently at like the 7.20 mark. only took a global pandemic and every hairdresser being closed for me to grow it out. Can't wait to get to where you are now! Also a fellow Leo! hey girl hey!

alissa grace: i’m now 6 months into my pixie growing out journey. i cut it bc it started falling out after bleaching my hair at home july 2020 and then dying it black that august. with my hair being curly (which i totally didn’t know i had curls before, only waves), it looks like i have a lil afro, but it’s getting too long to wear natural, because the front “bangs” get in my eyes. i deep condition almost every night while i shower bc my hair is naturally super dry, and haven’t used any heat since my last trim in december. i’m not gonna trim my hair again probably until after my birthday in july. i always watch this every couple of months to track my progress!

Jordyn Ramadani: SISTER, I’M DYING RN BECAUSE I REALLY NEED THIS FOR MY LIFE - for whatever reason, i just went to the salon yesterday and wanted to go like a super short bob (almost semi-Pixie, i guess) from a GORGEOUS boob-length hair. But the thing about a lot of hair stylists is that they tend to not listen to the customer and what happened was that my hair ended up as a short Pixie which i HATE right now ‘cause i feel like i look like a femme teen boy. I can’t wait for at least another six months until i can get my hair and volumes back - i don’t mind having like a neck-length hair as long as i have my volumes and gracious flows back

Rowan Thomas: Scorpio here, so I have thick, coarse hair. I love long hair but really long hair makes me look sluggish. I can’t explain it, but it just makes me look really ‘tired’. I hardly use any styling products. Maybe I should start using one to just style it out a little. I just use a serum right now . Loved the video! Always love your energy ❤️

S R: Thank you for this. I had a mohawk and got a pixie to even out the length so I can start growing it all out.. but I hate it rn and feel super self conscious. Your tips and pics are great though, so I feel a bit better about this process ❤

Adela M: About growing out hair buzzed on one side: I had this a few years ago and I flipped over my hair to cover the side that was growing out, I used my dad's hair products to give it volume and no one could even tell, people were asking me if I'd even had it buzzed. I did this twice, the first time I had it dyed and once it grew out by about an inch I buzzed it again. You could also just cut both sides the same length, whatever floats your boat

Michelle L.: I come back to this video every few months to keep myself motivated while I grow out my pixie :')

Tiffany Hunter: I’m starting to grow my pixie out now… I miss my long beautiful hair! I know there’s going to be awkward hair days with it, I just gotta bear with it! Your video was very helpful!

Candice Brunson: I had been wanting an asymmetrical pixie for a while and right when i was going to take the plunge i found out i was pregnant. I've heard that short hair can make you look bigger so i decided to wait until after my pregnancy and losing the baby weight to do it. So in April, 4 months post partum, I chopped off 16 inches of my hair. I loved it and still love that I bit the bullet and tried really short hair at least once in my life. I don't think I'll ever go that short ever again. I miss my long hair so much (i knew i would). I think I'm going to go with the mullet life until my shorter side gets at least chin length. Send me your best hair thoughts! P.S. I bought clip in hair extensions two months ago and haven't used them once. Don't know why i thought I'd ever have the time or energy to spend an hour messing with them.

Sierra Campbell: Hi! Scorpio here❤ I have a pixie cut right now. I have had it for almost a year, but I'm ready to grow it out. Thanks for the video!!

Melissa Parker: Her hair looks amazing at that length and the pixie cut as well, looks fantastic.

jay harrison: I started growing my hair out from a ' boy style hair cut ' and I got a mullet so I got it cut off! I'm going to grow my hair out now so thank you!

snxpdrxgun: i NEEDED this !! im in the mullet stage right now and i wanted a natural way to grow it out comfortably. thank you !!

kimberly j.: Oooo I loved this! Do a part two! I have my hair about your current length and my journey to long hair is happening and I’m struggling! Never had short hair but man oh man, you rock any hair length!

Ophiuchus Oversoul: I think yours looks great. I pixie cut my hair because of medical treatments and not knowing how much Id lose (thought maybe all). Didnt lose it all which was great, but its grown in frizzy AF. Trying to grow out but literally it wont do anything. I have resorted to wearing a lot of hats and scarves to cover it up but debating on a trim to get rid of the breakage. So dont want to cut though, but Im worried the texture has actually changed. Cant tell yet though because again the breakage. Using tons of spray on conditioner to try and make it just lay flat which works for a few hours at a time.

Elida: I was waiting for this! I'm getting a pixie (or just going bald, idk yet) and its currently to my waist. Im going to donate it, and I plan in growing it out again. Def using these tips!

Lisa Weese: I'm growing out a pixie right now also. I just got the mullet cleaned up to a short Bob, I love it. I love your length. It looks great.

Jo-eliza: I recently got a buzzcut for charity, this is the best video I've seen so far for ideas when I decide to grow it out!

radtechedu: Thanks for this. I have fine straight hair worn in a long bob for life. This year age 71 in pandemic, went through cancer treatment. Hair fell out, now is healthy and 2" long (and coming in gray). Don't have to wear scarf every day thank god. Believe it or not we old sick people also like to look decent! I can see am facing about 2 years to get long bob (lob) back, so seeing this and other videos helps a lot. Will have to get the back trimmed a bit in a couple months; yes being in lockdown helps. What a year! Remember your sisters who go through cancer; help them when you can.

India Houle: I buzzed the sides and left the long top about 3 months ago and i definitely needed this video! It’s growing so quick and I’m not ready for the awkward stages

Madeline ASMR: I shaved my head in April. My hair is like a very short bob now. I cut the back one time because it started looking like a mullet hardcore for the days I want completely different hair I wear wigs, which are a lot of fun I would highly recommend everyone having super short hair at least once! So many benefits and can be really interesting
