Hey friends, welcome back today, I am sharing with you my top seven tips on what I think you should do before you get a pixie haircut. I get a lot of messages from women who are considering getting a pixie and wondering if they should do in what advice I have so. I wanted to make this video as a resource for you to help you through the process of deciding. If you want to get a pixie and how you should prepare, if you're new to my channel welcome, my name is ava and I make videos about cruelty, free beauty and lifestyle, as well as a lot of videos about my pixie haircut. So if those topics interest you, I would really appreciate it. If you consider subscribing down below okay, let's get into the tips, the first four tips. I have are things that I think you should do in the days and weeks leading up to your appointment and then the last things our last three things are things you should do the day of your appointment. The first one is know your. Why know your motivation and your reasoning for getting a pixie haircut? There is a huge long list of possible reasons. You could be just wanting to save time in the morning and having less hair to blow-dry, you could be a mom and having long hair is really annoying and you just want to get rid of it all. For me, I really had two main motivations. The first one was essentially, it was just a bucket list item and I just wanted to be able to check it off as a life experience that I've had, and the second reason was more about self-confidence. I wanted to get my confidence from my inner self and my inner beauty and not care much about society's standards of standard feminine beauty. So if you want to hear more about that, I explain a lot in my I hate my pixie haircut, video I'll. Have it linked above and down below, it is my most viewed video and it's kind of surprising and I'm just kind of rambling in it. But if you want to hear more about my thoughts and my reactions and my motivations for getting a pixie watch that video, my second tip, is to head over to Instagram and search the hashtags pixie pixie cut pixie hair cut brunette pixie blonde pixie, whatever you want. Just search the hashtags and get inspiration there are so many different kinds of pixie hair cuts, there's buzz, there's like Tinkerbell pixie, hair cuts, there's Pixies kind of like mine, where it's longer there are so many different kinds, and I would really recommend that you look at More realistic photos, the photos of like professional stylist, the professional photographer and the wonderful camera there, they're great and they're beautiful, and I love following them. But if you're deciding whether or not you want a pixie the majority of the days, obviously you're gon na be styling. Your own hair and it's not gon na, be perfect. It'S gon na be you're gon na have good hair days and bad days, so I would recommend looking at people who share their daily or you know what their hair really looks like on an average day. That'S what I try to do with my Instagram. I just you, know snap. If I like the way my hair looks, I just snap a selfie and post it and that's pretty much it because I want to share a realistic viewpoint of what having a pixie everyday looks like I'll link. Some of my favorite accounts down below in the description box for you to get more inspiration, but yeah just gather a lot of resources, screenshot your favorite different kind of cuts and yeah. My third tip is to take your current hair and try to make it look like a pixie. So, for example, I had shoulder length hair before I cut this haircut, so I just kind of pinned it back like tied it back with a elastic pinned back hair. You know took a bobby, pin and pinned it right here to make it look as if I had short hair and just played around with it, and took some pictures and looked in the mirror and kind of got a sense of what it might look like. Obviously, it's not exactly what its gon na look like, but just try to get a sense. If the way, if you like the way your face, looks with the really short hair cuz, it's just kind of hard to imagine in your head. But if you kind of pin it back, you can get a little bit of a better sense. My fourth tip is to find a stylist that is experienced with pixie haircuts. Unfortunately, not all stylists are really experienced with pixie cuts, because they're not that common most women have longer or bob hair cuts, so try to find someone that has experience and can show you photos of their work. I was lucky because my stylist actually had a pixie herself at one point that she did for herself and she's done it on other people as well. So I felt really comfortable having her do my haircut, but your stylist unfortunately might not have much experience, in which case you might want to look to things like Yelp or geotags on Instagram to find hairstylist near you and ask them what their experience with pixie haircuts Are if they could send you photos, and unfortunately, I found that you oftentimes have to spend a little bit more money to get those really experienced hair stylists I mean, if they're, really experienced and really desirable, they're, often gon na charge a little bit more cuz. That'S just the way it works, so just prepare yourself that you might want to spend a little bit more money, but it will be worth it in my opinion, okay, those are all my tips for the days and weeks leading up to your appointment and now, let's Talk about the day of your appointment, my first tip for the day of your appointment is very important, and it's something I wish I did so. We all know to come into an appointment with some pictures and show some inspiration photos that you like from Instagram or Pinterest or whatever, and that's all great, and I did that. But one thing out or might recommend that you also do is come with a list. Like in the notes up on your phone or on a piece of paper, write down certain aspects of your haircut that you want do you want, like you, can show them their photos and then say, but I want more like more layers or more texture or shorter. Here longer here for me, I wish I had communicated that I did not want a side bang, because I just don't like the way side. Bangs look on my face and but when I just showed her the photos, I didn't specifically call that out. So therefore she didn't know - and I don't blame her for it like you know you just over time, you learn what you do and don't like and sometimes verbalizing them versus showing a photo is more effective, also showing a photo of someone else and saying that you Want that cut is not realistic because they have a completely different face shape. You know different structure different head size like everything, might be different about them, and so that cut won't necessarily look great on you. But if you say like the reason I like this haircut is because I like the length on the side and I like the way it looks in the back or whatever I like, the texture, whatever you like about that photo, I would verbalize it versus just showing A photo and also over time, your list of specific details that you like in your haircut will grow and you'll learn what you do and don't like. So don't worry it's the first time. You know you don't like certain aspects that happened to me and over time, we've tweaked things and I've learned more. What I do and don't like - and I got my haircut on Wednesday and I really like it. I think this, my favorite cut that she's done on me and it just took us some time to figure out what I do and don't like and that's fine. My next tip is where what makes you feel beautiful and confident whether that's a dress full face of makeup. You know crazy earrings or whether it's sweatpants and no makeup just wear whatever you feel comfortable and confident in it's going to be a big change. When you got your pixie, it's going to be a total transformation of your hair. So if you feel confident in the other aspects of your appearance that day then it'll make you feel a little bit more confident, you'll walk out of the salon. You know feeling more confident head held high. My last tip is just to try to relax and have fun. I know that's easier said than done and you're probably gon na be a ball of nerves, but also excited in just so many emotions going on in your head and that's okay, just try to embrace the experience and just try to be confident and know that what You'Re doing is such a unique experience, and if you don't like it, you can change it, you could grow it out. You could shave all your hair off. You could get a wig, you can change it and it will all be okay. Just try to have fun and when you do get your pixie haircut, please send me photos. I'M actually doing this feature at the end of all my pixie related videos, where I'm sharing a before and after photo of viewers of mine who get a hair transformation, whether that's a pixie haircut. You know you're in from long to a bob you're dyeing your hair. If you've transformed your hair in any sort of way, please send me a before and after photo either to my email or DM me on DM me on Instagram. All that information is down below and at the end of these videos, I'll be featuring of your of mine, who has recently transformed their hair. I want to do this because I want to show my viewers a wide variety of different hair styles, and so you can get inspiration from other beautiful women out there and I love my viewers. I love hearing about your pixie stories and the first person I'm featuring is Sara she's, a longtime viewer of mine. She actually won my 1000 subscriber giveaway, so she's been watching me for a while, and she got a pixie actually pretty soon after I got mine, she had been considering it for a while, and I think she looks so good in her pixie. She totally rocks it and thank you so much Sara for letting me show your photos as my first example. So that's it for today's video. I hope you enjoyed it and leave me a comment down below if you have any advice for other people getting a Pixy, and I hope you have an awesome day I'll see you in my next video bye. It'S like the first time we open the door. For me,

Riley DeVinney: "why do you want a pixie cut" me: I WANNA LOOK LIKE A BADASS LESBIAN

Alright_ Ok: *literally watching this the day after I get my pixie cut*

Savannah Smith: I plan on going to a men’s salon because they do edgier hair styles and my previous stylist was all glam and gave me a short mom haircut so I’m looking to have more uniqueness ! Getting my this Saturday !

TeriyakiPencilCircus: I have wanted a pixie cut for about 4 or 5 years, ever since i was 10 or 11. I wanted one so bad back then and I researched so much and learned about what hair would look best with my super circular face and I was really ready to get it cut. I asked my mom over the entire summer if I could get it cut because I wanted to get used to it before school started and she would keep telling me that its a hard style to maintain and that she had one when she was a teen and it took forever to grow out. I didnt care and kept saying I wanted it cut and then one day she straight up said I would look ugly. It really shocked me when she said that because she had never said anything like that to me before. Now over the past few years I have some time periods where I obsess over looking at short hair cuts and research and I annoy my friends with worried questions about how I would look with certain styles but im too scared to actually get it cut. Last night I almost cut off all my hair with some kitchen scissors so I would have to get a pixie cut but thankfully I didn't. I think its time for me to actually go through with a pixie cut, even if I look bad with it. I never style my long hair because its too much so its ALWAYS in a ponytail so I think short hair will be a good choice for me. Anyway I have come back to this video like 10000 times since you have uploaded it and it has really help me make this decision. (Oof this was just a long rant sorry)

Tin Ella: I have very round face . I decided to get a pixie 2 weeks ago. My face actually looks slimmer ( which is opposite of what ppl warned me). The haircut actually spread ppl’s attention to your neck, your smile and all other features instead of focusing on the face shape. Have received many compliments!! Cons: - I spend extra 10’ every morning to style my hair with hair clay. - Wash my hair everyday. If your hairstyle doesn’t need wax/gel/clay/.. then it s not a problem

• Brackets •: I’m only young, going into high school soon, and I’m getting a pixie this Friday. This was definitely helpful and got me really thinking about it, and I can definitely say my motivation was working with knots and living in Australia, even winter can be hot and having long thick hair in that kinda humid weather is HORRID. Again, tysm for this vid :)

Berta Dellasala: imma do it, imma get a pixie ya only live once might as well look savage while doing it ;P

Winnie Daou: I got a pixie several months back and yesterday got it trimmed. I LOVE it! It's so easy to manage and the upkeep is worth it. My husband thought he wouldn't like it, but he loves it too and thinks it makes me look like a badass He even let me know when he thought it was getting too long.

Sarah Carol Williams: Ahhh not gonna lie I squealed a bit during the feature at the end. All of these tips are great! I also recommend researching hair products that are good for pixie cuts and having them in hand when you get it done. For me that was a pomade and texture spray.

Wendy Illa: I'm considered a pixie cut, I have been for months now. My hair is thinning due to hashimoto's syndrome. Being a woman with alopecia is very depressing. Having a chin length bob didn't help make it look better. I figure I should try the pixie. Thank you for the tips, I feel more confident going forward with the pixie cut.

Fat CJ: I want a pixie but everyone keeps saying "no, get a bob" so I'm afraid I'm going to look awkward

lilyisnotcool: I'm getting a pixie on Thursday and I'm really freaking excited. I ruined my hair by bleaching it, I was sick of having so much hair to deal with, and I wanted a boost of confidence ❤️

laczkaeszter: I got a pixie a few days ago, and I have more self-confidence now, then before. I think it's suits me and I never thought I am pretty, but now I feel better about myself. :) At first I was scared when the hairdresser just cut and cut and asked if it's short enough... But in the end I couldn't stop smiling, she was happy too that I loved the result. :)

Anna N: My hair is super fine which is a trouble, as it never holds curl when styling but if i do permanent curling it would hold..too much curl. But yesterday i finally found a stylist who gave me perm just light enough to create big wave on my pixie bang and lift it up without making it super curly, just exactly how i wanted it to be (my fear is finally gone). I got my hair done pixie yesterday and can't stop looking in the mirror now. It really brings out my cheekbones and smile and makes my face look much slimmer. Watching this video after getting it done and i totally agree with you, doing as much research as you can before getting a pixie cut. And when you get it done in the way you want, girls, it CHANGES your life!

victoria lee: So I really wanted to get a pixie cut but everyone was like "noo, I like you with ur long hair!" , "nooo get a bob instead" or "it would look horrific on you" I mean I am/was pretty discouraged but like.. eff the haters, I wanna do it so like go for it it! for everyone else who relates to this and has not yet cut their hair, just go for it! try things out, and if you regret it at least you would've done it and regretted it rather than not did it and regretted it. like imagine growing up and showing your kids how badass you were

KelMagenta: Update from my previous comment: got my pixie today and freaking love it. I almost bailed but thankfully stuck to the plan.

Linda Harvey: This video really helped me to work out why I wanted a pixie, what I wanted out of the styles I liked and my stylist was so pleased that I'd gone with a list and talked to him about everything rather than just showing him pictures only. I want to say thank you for your help as I really do love my pixie cut. It's not even been 24 hrs yet but I do love it and can't wait to get creative with it. Thank you xxx

Kate Emily: I hate my long hair and really just want to chop it all off! I have a round face, and I'm overweight so the main reason I'm scared is because I feel it won't suit me. Saying that however, I've never styled my hair while it's long, all I ever do is tie it up as I work over a desk and I feel it's more practical. My grandparents hated it when I got a bob so they're gonna freak if I go any shorter too!

Why: Thanks sooo much. This is gonna be huge boost in confidence cause I'm quite an introverted person and starting secondary on 5th with only few friends . I think it will help me also communicate with others so ye ima get it

teri day: I had really long hair and had never had it short. When I got my pixie yesterday I told them I wanted it properly short. It was all done with clippers half inch on top and back and sides faded way down. I love the look and feel of it and thanks for giving me the courage to go through with it

Ciana J: I'm watching this after I got a pixie. And I'm overweight and have a double chin and a chubby face and it looks awesome I love it.

2225ram: I love your videos. You’re so inspiring and I can’t wait to get my hair cut.

Chris: Things to think about: upkeep. Cow licks. May have to wet hair daily. Bangs in face. Upkeep. Upkeep. Upkeep. Looking bad in photos years later noticing lack of upkeep. Regrowth time. Back acne or dirty ears will not be hidden. You may miss option to do something different with your hair. You may have to try harder to feel /present self as feminine.

Myranda Means: I definitely think these are super great recommendations, I just got my pixie and have been giving very similar tips. I also recommend asking the stylist what kind of products they use like if they use pomades, gels, or leave-in conditioners. You look great!

Double-edged Allusion Art: Thank you! I'm getting a pixie cut sometime this year. I will be sure to send you the before and after photos.

Jennie Nguyen: I changed hair styles every few months, sometimes monthly. You will be happy with the new short cut if you’re easygoing ,flexible, don’t mind changes. I had hair chin length to past shoulder to waist length to pixie even a boy haircuts (shaved sides and back slightly long side bangs). That’s what so fun about hairs,it grow ..so you can change back or to a different hairstyle. It’s more fun with shorter hairs, much faster to dry and style. You can colored your hairs as often as you cut without worrying about damaging your hairs. I like long hairs too but short hairstyles give me more confidence.

Shaannon James: This was so helpful. I've already been pixie before. But this time it's gonna he different and you've made me feel more sure ibwont to go pixie again! Thanks x

Kimmie Duncan: The only good things I was blessed with was some curls, cheekbones, and a jawline and I’m getting a pixie tomorrow and I’m super scared but also excited!!

Mary Joy Taneo: I have had pixies/bobs for a lot of times before, but it was not always the same :)) I hope to find a stylist that I could trust for pixies.

glitch: This video really helps I got my hair cut today and I love it!!

Fijkast 2220: Omg! Thank you for this video! I want a pixie cut and now I am absolutely sure because of you! Thank you!!!

Denise Ferreira: I found you while researching long to short hairstyles. Thanks for all the great tips, very helpful for my trip today!

Splastle: I'm getting a pixie cut tomorrow!!!so excited omggg I can't wait!

Crystal K: I got a pixie for my health. I’m in bed with chronic pain a lot and can’t hold my arms up for long. I used to keep it knotted up but bobby-pins hurt too much now. Anyone else have this reason?

Jennifer Bailey: I want to say how sweet you seem! I found you because I was searching for a pixie cut that I could possibly make work on me. But I really appreciate that you are pointing out the beauty of the pixie is it may force you to realize your beauty doesn't come from your haircut. I think this is my first comment on youtube! I've been looking at videos on here for a decade but just now commenting. Love your channel! Take care!

Christine Sum: Im pretty nervous but I feel liberating watching this, thank you ! Gonna cut a pixie in 3 hours

ren gon: Great episode you are right about finding a great stylist. I go to a guy who does aveda runway shows. A cut is $100 but I walk out of the salon feeling beautiful every time.

juliacalismusic: I did it and I don’t want to go back AAAAA I love it. ❤️ you actually helped me a lot through my journey, so thank you :)

Jhovanna Garcia: Getting my first pixie tomorrow!! ‍♀️

izabella mora: Hello, Ava Elizabeth! I just watched this video because I have been thinking about getting a pixie cut for a really long time. I was just wondering what you asked your hairstylist to do on your hair because I love how it looks and I was thinking about getting one similar to yours.

Undying Rose: I'm getting a pixie cut on this friday and I'm definitely coming back to update you all on how it goes! I've been wanting a pixie for a really long time and finally I'll be able to do it! :D Edit: It's happening tomorrow!!

Ruth Abigail: I love your 2 reasons that you got it cut, literally the same reason I want to get mine cut!!

Danna Merklin: IT REALLY HELP ME SO MUCH. THANK YOU!❤️

glazel isaac: Thank you for this vid! I'm going to get a pixie today

Brook Bear: Hi! Sooo I'm planning to get a pixie cut as soon as all of this social distancing Crap is over. Your video really helped me make the decision, thank you! I'm so scared, but I really want to for the simple reason that I'm tired of looking like "one of those girls". The average ones with the same boring long hair. Also, I have self esteem problems, and I feel like this can be an interesting solution! Wish me luck.~

themelonsoup: I'm gonna cut mine myself. My mom is scared! I have done this pretty often, though. I like doing it. It is like an art project.

br jones: Thank you for this video and your other videos! I want a pixie cut so bad. I am just unsure if it will look good on me.. I have some acne and i really don't like to wear makeup. Great idea for me to try to style my shoulder lenght hair into a pixie i never thought of that! I haven't known my stylist long but i do trust him. I think im ready for the big chop but im still like ehhhhhh. What do you think i should do? Ps Yours looks awesome :) - Sallie Jones A new subscriber

Undying Rose: I'm getting it today in a few hours, I'll let you know how this goes with a picture! :D

Savannah Wilson: I'm getting mine cut today!! I can't wait!! It's quite long and I'm going full super short pixie. I'll DM you!

cal: I want one mostly bc my hair is heat damaged but also most badass girls in movies have pixie cuts :P

Naomi Elizabeth de Wal: Week Q 1- My hair gets really sweaty and itchier in summer and winter Q 2- Got one already from Pinterest Q 3- I do that all the time I look adorable with it Q 4- I have Day Q 1- I do have one and I’ll be telling them what I want, the person has a circle face like mine Q 2- Yes most definitely I’ve always had short hair Q 3- Yes I’ll be calming myself down

juliacalismusic: I actually really want a pixie cut, but in the sake of my traditional family i’ll first go for a bob and next year for pixie

Urea Sofia: What if you can't find an experienced stylist for a reasonable price? I cut my hair last year (I came in with your photos actually!❤) and the guy did a great job, but he told me he doesn't cut like this often. I live in Romania and it's a pretty conventional country. I rarely see women with pixies. Now I want to cut my hair even shorter but I'm scared I'll go to an overly confident stylist who will ruin my hair. I called a salon yerterday and asked if they have someone who specializes in pixies but they said all (25ish stylists) are very good.. (THANKS FOR THE HELP). They did have very good reviews but I'm convinced 99% of them were form girls who didn't ask for this king of cut. I think the only solution is to say "fuck it", cross my fingers and hope for the best. At least winter's coming so I can wear a beanie and hide my crippled child. If I cut it, I'll come back here and tell you all about it. ‍♀️

Stephanie Reeve: I want a pixie so my mom doesn’t have to do get rats nests out of my hair

Alexis Kathleen: Idk if I’m gonna get a pixie cut but my hair is damaged and has breakage for me getting it cut would be a good idea to get it healthy. That’s pretty much my motivation cause I really like longer bobs

Lethícia Soares: Watching this just before getting my first pixxie cut, my appointment it's tomorrow morning

knight queen: Let me tell a story. One night my mom said that my hair is messy and told me to tie it up. After tieing it I asked my mom if I could cut my hair and ofcourse mom said 'NO'. I asked so many time and she shout at me that I was a girl and I should have long hair. (At that time my hair was 2-3 inches down my shoulder). I kept asking her but she said no again and again. After so much try she said you can cut it up to shoulder I was sooo happy. my mom said don't waste that hair we should donate it to cancer patients. I also thought it was a good idea. So we told this matter to my uncle who is working at mvr cancer center. He asked the employees they said hair should be 17 inches bu my hair was only 12 inches. So they told to grow my hair. And weeks passed by I used many hair oil and shampoo for making it grow and my hair grew from12 to 15. By the way my hair is curly if I straight it, it will be like 17 or 18. So I am waiting for my hair to grow two inches. After my hair grow I will cut it up to my ear. But I know that will not look good on me so I decided to get a boy cut and I figured out I should get a pixie cut so I will tell my parents about it and if I get it I will tell you guys. Wish me luck...

Destiny: I get my pixie cut Friday and I’m so scared of not liking it. I don’t know what to expect, it’s exciting

Samantha Sawye262: You look really pretty with a pixie cut and your eyes sell it girl WORK IT!!!!

_ mkmasiak08: I told my mom I wanted a pixie cut and I said if tell you something will you not think im crazy she said ok and GUESS WHAT She thinks i'm CRAZY you guessed it! I told her I looked at pictures watched videos like Pros and Cons getting a pixie cut, Watch this before you get a pixie cut, this video and more and she said to think about it more I told her just because you have long hair and you would not want a pixie cut and would be scared to get one does not mean that is the same for me.

BreakTheWall.mp3: I had a pixie cut several times in my life and I know what to expect, why am i still watching videos like this?

Noel: I'm getting one tomorrow, super excited!

Riss B: Thanks this was super helpful!!

Sarah Orford: Every single video I’ve seen people are talking about going to places and getting professionals doing their hair. I have literally never been to a place like that, my mum and sister are the only people that have ever cut my hair/dyed it

Pluto Pluto: Watching this the day before I get my pixie, I can't go back now because my country is getting locked down the day after for over 6 weeks lol

Finesse Muse: *Omg* I'm repeatedly doing #3 right now,

anonymous account: Oh my gosh thank you so much for the advice i really needed it. Im going to be getting mine tomorrow!!

M&M: Going gray and cut off all the dyed hair just yesterday. My cut looks very much like yours this morning.

Shauna Mooney: My hair is down at my hips and im getting a pixie cut in a few days

Katja Hills: The reason I want a pixie is partly because it’s cute, and also because I find that my appearance is kinda boring and I like to look different, so I want something fun and different

RandomSpaghetti bowl: I really want a pixie haircut for middle school next year and I have done the thing about seeing how you might look with a pixie haircut and I think I can pull it off but telling my parents I want one is the hard part xd

_: ahhh i'm getting one in a little over 2 weeks....after a year of begging my mom she finally agreed!!

It's Rey: Once you get a pixie cut, do you need a stylist with experience to do the trims or do you think any stylist can trim it?

Jacky Toska: I'm getting a pixie cut! Because I want to! And because everyone said not to. So I'm gonna do it.

Sachin: I'm a boy and I want a feminine pixie haircut !! I have curly-wavy hair .. any advice .

Martina Lola fraser: My hairdresser is an expert for short hair hair extensions waxing blonde color correction and more she cut my hair ones before so she knows my face shape glasses body type and hair texture I have ideas for her all show them then tell her to pick what ever do her thing June 11 is mine im excited and nervous lol the last cut she did for me was a asymptomatically pixie bob this time going for pixie or long pixie and deal with my side shave that'd way over grown and undercut normally the bf fixes it but I been leaving it so if she wanted to work with it lol

ProgressiveHeart: I love that your makeup is subtle. Many of the other videos on pixies have women wearing (imho) far too much eye makeup. They look good, but it doesn’t seem practical to me, for everyday wear.

Darth Leia: I have really tick and frizzy hair and is getting annoying that I couldn't get it fixed. I want to try a pixie hair but I fear that I will look awkward and my hair will stand up even more . Great video is really helpful !!

Meg Smiley: Finding an experienced stylist isn't always possible. I live in a small town that has only 1 place to go.

Michelle Pullinger: I’ve had my pixie for 4 months. Still not used to it, costs more to have short hair :( but I’m not going to grow it out.

Starixsh: Not me wanting to go back to pixie cut but being scared af because I’m worried I’ll look like a Karen. Definitely not me worrying bout that.

Delaney McBride: Ok so I do gymnastics and Ive been wanting a pixie since I was ten years old. I’m just so nervous about the opinions and if someone could help me it would be amazing!

Chimmy Caramel: Luckily my stylist is experienced with all haircuts because she has done pixies many times before and she cuts men’s hair to

SnowNhite: I just want a change. A haircut is like a new chapter of your life.

Christina Miller: When I get my hair cut it’s gonna be short (I have wavy and thick hair) So when I wash it do I blow dry it or do I just leave it? I’m afraid when I blow dry it it’s gonna poof and look bad

Arthur: "why do you want a pixie cut?" me: well i'm not cis...

hannah J: I want to get a pixie because it just feels like ME. Idk how else to explain it but I've wanted it for ages and I honestly have no other reason

Britt Stacks: I usually grow out my hair pretty long and then get a lob and donate my hair so this time I want to go with a long pixie cut I'm just really nervous

Julia L: Watching this months after my pixie lol

Cece Olvera: I'm just seeing this now. I have an appointment to get my pixie tomorrow and I'm not sure exactly how I feel. I want it. I definitely want it. But I'm so nervous. Everyone keeps telling me otherwise and even my 8 year old doesnt really like the idea. I just wanted to do something different. Something like you said in the beginning something to scratch off the bucket list and try... I'm so nervous

Wendy Fiolek: Really be sure that a pixie cut is what you want. Don't say it's only hair and it grows. A pixie takes FOREVER to grow out. I regret mine. Growing it back out and it is taking forever.

ro: I’m going from hair up to my waist to a pixie I’m so nervous

iClaimThisName: I know I'm going to look uglier with short hair but I really want to try it.. Ppl are telling me I shouldn't do it though oof. My self esteem isn't that great so I'm scared that I'll regret the haircut and hate myself xd

mimie: I just had my pixie haircut but not quite pleased w the results bcs the lady didn't get what i really want :( I wonder if i should go for a more professional aka expensive hair shop then..

Audreanna Sierra: I’ve had my pixie for a couple years and after a while I got shorter and shorter and I love it

Michelle Lancaster: I had super long hair for my pixie, I don’t wanna go back to long hair so many things u can do with a pixie, mousse ,gels, pomades it’s way better

elbmcook: I got my middle back hair cut similar to yours a few days ago & I absolutely regret it. I HATE my hair in my face and the long front does exactly that. I am constantly pushing the hair off of my face. IDK I just wish that I hadn't done it. I'm 70 & my daughter & husband said that the long hair aged me. I'm seeing my stylist in a couple of days & literally don't know what I want her to do with this mop. Shave my head? IDK

Kris: I'm a guy and I really want a pixie cut...... I have not had a haircut in almost 3 months but I'm not sure it's a long enough to do a pixie cut yet.....How should I tell them to cut my hair if it's not quite long enough for a pixie cut?

Donna: What do you think about someone with baby fine thin hair getting a pixie??

PBG: honestly you look great with the side bang
