Crazy Curly Hair To Short Pixie Cut!
This video is for anyone who has crazy curly hair and is trying to decide whether or not to get a pixie cut.
This video shows the before and aftermath of getting a pixie cut! I would also like to note that in this video before I got my pixie cut, I had not gotten a haircut for almost 10 months due to being abroad in Japan. My hair is much more curly than it appears in this first half of the video. While I got the original pixie in Japan, it didn't look that great so I had to get it fixed once I got back to the states!

Hi YouTube, my name is Nina and I am doing a tutorial on if you have really thick and crazy curly hair and you want to get a pixie cut, but you're kind of nervous and you're not really sure what it's going to look like. There was one other girl that I did see who has done the pixie cut with her hair and it turned out pretty cute, but I'm going to just do it again in case your hair is kind of like mine. Mine is really really thick. It'S really frizzy and it's just like you see the back like it's I'm in Japan right now and it's summertime here and it's summers and Nagasaki are the worst. They are so hot and that's actually the main reason why I'm chopping my hair off, also because I just I want to try something new and I just I really wanted to go way out there and just be very, very different. I'M not really sure how it's going to look, but I either want to get a pixie cut like Anne Hathaway, her style. So if you guys are unsure just um, you can watch this and decide if you want to go through with it or not. If I do decide to go with the pixie cut, how Anne has her hair, I really like it. It'S really graceful, but because my hair is curly, the bangs are probably going to curl up. So for all you, people who have curly hair, you you're. It'S probably not going to look like you hope it will. It'S probably going to be different, so that's something I'm kind of nervous about and growing it out too. If you end up not liking your cut and I'm kind of nervous about growing it out in case, I do want to go back to long hair because I'm going to probably have an afro on my head, but we'll see um, I'm definitely not not going to Do it I'm for sure going to do this, so you can all see I'm going to go, get my hair cut and I'm going to come back and do a vlog on how it went so wish me luck, because this is kind of a big sacrifice. I'M doing I've had curly hair for years. I have not had a short cut since I was like 8, so we'll see how it goes. Stay tuned. Guys wish me luck, hi guys, so I went for it. Oh my god, all of my hair cut off. I'M actually making this video a little bit after. I had actually gotten a cut, so it's actually, when I did get it cut, it was a lot shorter than it is now. I want you all to keep that in mind. Um, I got it cut. Super short like it was really really short and I'll be posting pictures at the end of this video. So if you're curious - and you want to see what it really is going to look like - and I do apologize for that - just skip this part and just go to the end, because I will be posting pictures and I think it'll be helpful to you. But when you do start growing out your hair um, this is what it's going to look like. Um I'll show you this. This is a side, as you can see, the curl is kind of overcoming and I'm actually going to get it cut even shorter. Tomorrow, um, I'm actually going to think about getting like almost a buzz cut, but not quite - and I will do another video with that too and like it, when you have your pixie a little bit longer and then you want to get it cut. Super short and the aftermath of that as well. I hope this video was helpful to you guys, and I want to give you some advice. Um, if you do decide to go through the pixie cut, um make sure before you get your hair cut and you make the decision I want to pixie cut, make sure it is what you want um. You do not want to get your hair cut off if you're not ready. I gave this a lot of thought um. I just got sick of the weight and just it was very hot and it was just very uncomfortable and on top of that, I've been stocking kind of just different styles of the pixie cut. So it's a good idea to just try and research and just look at a lot of different styles, because there's a lot of different styles of your hair and all of them are super cute. So just kind of go through and like also watch other videos that people getting all of their hair cut off it kind of in a way gives you motivation um. When I was kind of in the stages of thinking about cutting my hair. That'S what I did - and it was very helpful, so just make sure that you really know that this is what you want, because it will take a very long time to grow your hair back if you're not happy with that um, but also what is kind of Nice is that um really when your hair starts growing out and kind of like the awkward stages, there's really nothing. A bobby pin cannot fix. Bobby pins are magic. They do everything so just use a lot of bobby pins, um, so yeah um. Thank you. So much for watching my video guys and again um. I wish you luck and I hope that you do end up going through with it, because it's very liberating um, especially if you've had hair like I did. I definitely do not regret my decision of cutting my hair. I knew it was something that I wanted. So just make sure it's what you want and just have fun with it and just really embrace the difference, and just I think you guys will really enjoy the aftermath. Good luck guys. Ba S: i love it on you! so adorable. ever since i got mine cut 11 months ago i never looked back. it's fun and -contrary to popular belief- it's versatile. my morning routine is cut in half. it was a big decision it took me months to think it through, i have hair as curly and a tad bit thicker, i find that you either go REALLY short or yes it's gonna look curly. if youre like me i cant really spend +20$ on my hair every month so i practiced cutting my hair until i got the hang of it, im sure you all can too. do not be afraid. DO IT.
Katie Hawley: ahhh I love it!! I have about the same hair as you, and I cut it off into a pixie about 6 months ago. BEST DECISION EVER. Now it's gotten fairly longer, more like a bob now, but I'm considering chopping it off again :) great video!
Nina Sultan: @Bianca C Thank you! The buzz cut is great. I just recently shaved my head entirely! It's very easy to take care of! I highly recommend getting it cut like I had it in the pictures. It is a huge change but in a good way. It is really fun to feel the buzz on my head now! When I had it as long as I did in the video, yes, but I mostly just used bobby pins or a styling product to keep it down. But in the long run, there isn't really a lot to maintain! It's a great feeling!

I've tried many products, cuts, and perspectives to come to terms with how my hair is and always will be. But its hard to like your hair when you've hated it for so long. Its foolish that it takes up so much of my time and money. Its tiring forcing my hair what its not and to make me feel what I can't. I wanna stop worrying about my hair so much and I wanna like the curls for what they are. After seeing your video re-sparked the idea of getting a pixie cut. What it did to your hair achieved both the manageability and acceptance I am looking for. But before I do I have a few questions. A "no worries" kind of hair cut for curly girls (is it easy to manage at that length in the video?) Also since I would be making a really big commitment to the pixie, I want to know your reasons for growing it out. Is it for the sake of more YouTube videos or is it personal? Do you feel less feminine? Your flaws more exposed? I want to know these because I've tried too many things that haven't worked. I want to make the right decision this time. monique hogendoorn: pixy at th back and longer at the front, so you stil have curls. I have the same hair(very thick and curly) and good curls. Coconut oil or olive do not wash it out. But most inportant is how te hair is cut long or short doesnt matter.
