How To Style A Pixie Cut When Your Perm/Relaxer Wears Off

This is a very detailed video that will help with relaxed hair women with pixie cuts get their hair back up to speed when new growth comes in and relaxer starts to fade. The primary reason of this video is to inform and prevent you from constantly perming your hair.

This isn't my best work, but it is enough to get the point across. please tell me what you think or how I can improve my next video.

Hey my fearful women out there today, i will be making a video showing you all how i style my pixie cut after the perm has worn off um. This right here is about a perm that i got probably um in the beginning of the month and it has started to wear off. I have 4c hair and it is very kinky and when i tell you when my perm wears off it wears off, so i'm just going to show y'all what my hair is looking like right now - and this is my cut and the cut is about a month Old as well - and here is the back here - is the front, so the products i'm going to be using today are this foam wrapping lotion, and lately i've been getting some advice from some other. Ladies and so-called, this isn't the best phone to use. So i recommend paul mitchell or nairobi foam right now. This is the only foam that i have so i'm going to do the best i can with what i have, but paul mitchell and nairobi phone are the best foams for this, and i'm going to be using some peppermint oil to oil. My scalp um and a little bit of this cantu styling gel to lay the back of my hair and i use cantu because it's not so heavy, it doesn't leave flakes and it doesn't leave my hair hard. It gives it a soft texture and my waves will look very blended. I guess i don't want my hair to be all hard and stuff, so we're just going to get this started. As you can see, i have a part here, but it's not that neat. So i'm just going to start by parting. This and honestly, this is the best parting comb i have ever had. I don't necessarily know the brand, but i got it at the beauty store and it was like 2.99. So here is my part and i'm just going to lay my hair down to the best of my ability and um. Oh, i forgot my spray bottle. Here'S my spray bottle. I just fill this with water to spray, my hair, a little before i start it just gets it a little wet before i apply the foam and the gel and okay. So there are these little black wrap things that you can wrap around your head, but i don't have them but they're, just wrapped the setting wraps um and it's like paper. So if you know what i'm talking about, then you know what i'm talking about. But it's wrapping paper and you just tie it around your hair and i think it works better than a head scarf and if you don't have time to allow your hair to dry freely, then this those those wraps would be the best thing for you. So just fixing my part a little bit all right here. We go use a little bit of this peppermint and black castor oil on my hair - and i just put this on my scalp now - i'm just gon na go in with a little bit of the foam. Well, really not a little bit. I just get a handful and i slap it on my hair. All around i slap it on my head slap it on my head all around on my left. Oh my! Oh my god. Oh my god! This is the only time i got to do this before my baby work wakes up, so i'm gon na try to make this quick all right. Now i'm going with this comb, this comb actually helps it lay better because it's more precise you have these that have the wide tooth. I don't really like to use this when i am laying my hair down, because it sometimes leaves streaks through it. So you always want to make sure that you're using a comb that is not that doesn't have um big spaces in its little parts. So i'm just going to lay your hair down god. I might have to take these glasses off all right, so you take your um, you lay your hair down and when i get to my ear i bring my sideburn down. I kind of make a part, and i bring it here. As you can see, i got a little bit of new growth there, the darker hair, so that's my new growth since i've gotten a perm and a haircut and dyed my hair. So i've been putting a lot of chemicals on it lately and i don't think that's very healthy. I heard that you should get a perm every three months. You should not be touching up your hair with the perm. Every time your perm gets worn out. It is not okay, you will damage your hair follicles permanently, so the best thing to do is to just find the best products that will allow your kinks to look good with your perm hair. Okay, so um a little bit more foam. I love phones. I love phone okay, so here's a little bit more phone phone foam is so great. You have to i mean honestly, it doesn't really matter how much foam you use, but to get the best results. You should be using a lot of foam. Okay, so um i mean it just depends on the brand that you're using really i hear the paul mitchell is very good and it stretches um a lot. So you might want to get paul mitchell, but it's literally like 10.99 for a bottle of foam. That is not in my budget right now, so um yeah, i'm just gon na, have to work with what i can all right. Now that i got the hair laid down, i'm gon na go in with a simple wave and i'm going to give y'all. I'M gon na do the best i can so. The key to finger waves is to make a c shape, and then you do the same thing and you continue to make c shapes until you get down to the end, and i like to bring it around. So, okay, so i forgot to mention that it is better to do the waves with the wider comb. Now that is when you can use the wide tooth comb, because it gives you space to move your hair around. So, as you can see the difference, there is the waves that i have and over here on this side, just going to mold this like this, you can tell that my perm is wearing off, though, but that doesn't matter so we're just i'm just going to show You, the finishing result all right now, i'm just going to go in with some of this cantu shea butter, um, styling gel and it's anti-shedding, and if you do have a lot of breakage. I think this is very good for you, so i just put a little bit on my hand and i'm going back and slap it on my hair. I'M going to make sure i get the edges, because most people forget that i'm just basically going to smooth it out with the brush. It doesn't really matter what kind of brush you use. It'S whatever is best for you make sure you get in the top of your hair and right. So the foam is kind of keeping you guys from seeing what i have right here, but okay. So this is how i molded my hair. Can you guys see, as you can tell perm, is wearing off? I got new growth so on and so on. Now i'm just gon na go in with a head scarf and i'm gon na keep my hair tied up for about two hours or just until i get ready to go to work and if you are sitting under a blow dryer the head wraps would be perfect For you, but in this case i have time to allow my hair to dry and lay with the head scarf, so i'll be back in two hours. Okay, so it's been about two hours and i'm going to take my hair out now, and this is the finished and i'm just going to product around like see the back, a little front sides and the sides now, as you can see, it still looks a little Bit wavy, but it is blended, it looks nice, it's neat and it didn't need a perm. So whatever is best for you, i guess that's best for you, but i just thought i should give you some advice on how to do it and my wave messed up a little here, but it's nothing that can't get a little quick fix, but i hope you Guys enjoyed my video and i will be back with more so please subscribe and check out my other videos. Thank you.
