Hi i'm rodona from boys and girls hairstyles. Today i have colleen with me: um she's gorgeous um and she is from up north. She found me on my youtube channel and now we're friends and it's so fun. She has. She come down to get her hair done. The first time - and so i picked her the second time to come and do the video with me, so i'm excited um for that and what what i was going to show you with her is. She does like the the darker down here. So i'm going to put a five down here, um for the window and then i'm just going to pull the light through the top okay. So i'm gon na show you i go to about there and then i just pull this out of the way and then, like i said, for the dark down here. Um and we've gone how how long in between colleen, i can't remember. I want to see next yeah about six anyway, so um six weeks, and this is um what it's faded to the five so bro that has to be cold. Sorry, it's cold here in nephi um, not not as cold as it's been, though. So that's a plus right, it's been beautiful. Yes, it has. I'M really excited. My boy is playing football tonight he's a senior anyway, so they moved it to five. I was glad because it's gon na be cold and it's getting darker sooner. Yes, yes, yes, so you can see i'm just taking little sections there, okay same over here, okay and then once i get all excuse me, the hair up in here then i like to put the comb through it and that way it gets all the way through The hair, so it's very unsaturated. That was a word i was looking for like what's that word! Okay, so i just comb that through okay, let me just take the foil and lay it across there, okay! So now what i'm going to do is to put the blonde in i've done a bleach with 40 volume um. I just need a little section. You don't want a lot. Okay, you want it thinner or more thin, whatever you want to say: okay um, i'm gon na wrap that foil around my comb and then obviously just get the brown parts see there's one right there, so i'm not going over the blonde now say: you're just putting Highlights in for the first time, you obviously will color all of the hair okay. Now i come to this side, you can see that's a little too thick, so i'm going to take that a little thinner. Okay, then i hold this hair up, that i've weaved out and then hold that down. Okay, just leave it off that blonde. Okay on this next one, i will show you how i hold my comb and hold the foil at the same time. Okay, what's that ambidextrous you're, so cute yeah at first, i was like how do i do that it's so hard, so anyway, i'm kind of i'm going more of a medium to fine weave. Okay. So i fold my foil over my comb. I hold this hair up. Put the foil down, and then i hold this down, so you can see i'm just holding it with my fingers. While i grab the brush okay and i will show you another one also, then i just flatten it come underneath and i push this up. While i pull down with this left hand, okay and then i go to the sides - and i flip those over okay - so i'll show you one more time in this okay, medium to fine and i grab the hair. Then i grab the foil and i put it over the comb hold this tight hold it up, set the foil down and then remember. I hold the foil with these fingers. Okay and then i put that brush on there see that's, what's holding the foil, see my other hands here, that's what's holding the foil, then i bring my two fingers hold it. While i bring the color down - and you can see where those ends are a little lighter - i don't go out on those ends. Okay, hold this up push up while i pull down with these other fingers, and yes, this is a football for my son for his game. On my nails, it's kind of fun. I have a volleyball for my daughter too, on this one, that's kind of fun. Okay, so there's that part of the hair excuse me: okay, bring this down hold that with my fingers flip this over. I hold it right here. Don'T move these fingers while you flip it up. Okay, hold those fingers, while i flip it up put the comb underneath push up while you push down and it'll take a minute, but i promise you'll get it once you get it you're good to go. It'S just. You feel a little bit awkward at first, but just keep trying it we'll do it again here. Okay, hold the hair. These fingers over the top of the comb down, hold it with the fingers, the foil in place and put the color. This is the bleach actually over and flip hold the hands there. While you flip the foil up comb underneath push up while pushing down, with the other hand, okay, sweet, i will show you a couple more and then i will let you guys go. So you don't have to watch me, do the full thing, but i just really want to help you guys get it like. I said when i first did it. You feel awkward like how am i gon na hold that foil in place and i've got ta grab that and i've got ta do that and you'll get it. I promise promise okay, so i got a little bit on that blonde, so i'm just gon na take that off and push it to the side. Okay, again, i flip this over. Remember hold it with the fingers. I hope that with these two fingers um, if you have littler hands than me, you might get three in there, but i have big fingers so, okay, so i'm gon na push this under and pull down with the other hand - and you can see - excuse me, i'm Going this way, this way this way, so after these two sides, i'm just going to go straight forward in a mohawk section which um what i like to do is go to where the clients part is i go up through the part, so you can get really Close to the root area, so there's no regrowth and then i always like to go to the side where they part, which i'm going to show you that right now. So i'm going to do one more here, but you can see she parts more on this side. Okay, so i'm going to come up through the part and then what i mean um by the next section that i do is where the part is. Excuse me, because that process process is a little faster. So i'm coming this way and she parks this way. So then, i'm gon na foil this up and then this side up. Okay, so i'm gon na go forward. So if your parts over here, i would start on this side and then go this side. So i'm gon na come forward. I'M gon na do this side. Excuse me, and then this side up so all right. We will see you guys um on the next part for her haircut thanks, hi guys part two um with colleen. This cut is so fun um, a ton of my clients like their their back just blunt and really short. Um colleen likes hers, more wispy um. So i'm excited to show you this cut, because um that will change that part up. Okay, go ahead and put your head down. Look. She knows that she knows the routine she's already got it down. Okay. So what i like to do, just comb that all down - and i like to come up and just you - can see how i'm kind of going on an angle. You just want these to be a little uneven, which sounds funny when you're cutting hair right. But that's what makes it cute okay and then the sides i'm just holding those out just kind of cutting into those a little bit. Okay, so that will be wispy all right now, the top she likes to just dry and kind of have up and messy, and i told her it's going to be fun this time it's going to be even brighter because we're putting the blonde back through so super Fun, okay, so i'm just doing a 90 degree around the head um until i get to about here, um! Well, i guess down one! So you know this is the mid of the back of the head. So i just pulled that out at a 90. now after that, one i'm going to come in here now down here, you can see that this is coming out, that's the length, so what i'm doing is i'm just taking this and connecting it to that? So just point cut into that that way. It'Ll still leave this down here towards the bottom, but take the bulk out through here i'll show you again. When i get there whoa whoa i caught the comb. Usually it's fallen. Okay, so again this last area i pull straight out and then i'm going to angle this down into this length, just take a little bit of that bulk out, but leave the length now, depending on how short you want to. On top um, we took about a half of an inch, that's probably about right. Yeah, that's don't you think i think that's about as far as regrowth for her about a half of an inch was just about right and, like i said it had been six weeks for her, we got ta think well, let's get me through the holidays. Not quite that's right, i'll come back one more time, probably yeah, that's true one more time and then so. Yes, this will get us till right before the holidays. Isn'T that funny how we plan our house, but it's true, i mean your hair, makes you feel good right exactly yeah, that's cute! That'S exactly what happens for sure like it. Just it just feels better. All the christmas parties go better when you feel like your hair. Is good we always say we need daughters. We love hairbase yeah, see, but i agree yep hair days now days. It'S all good, there's just something about it. It'S the best yep you need a little pick-me-up. A salon is a good place to be okay, all right. So i'm going to show you guys you can see how cute that is, it's still tight here, but we're leaving the length here, um wispy, so that's really fun. Okay, now the top i'm gon na come straight across because she likes it. You know shorter through this area, so there's no need to angle. Just come straight across same thing about a half inch up there: okay, the sides i'm going to hold out - then i'm going to start to round this around the head a little bit. While i point cut into it and that way you can see the length so i'm just going up into the length just point cutting into that okay now over the ear. So i'm coming back from this back right here and i'm bringing the length up by cutting into that and she likes it over her ear a little bit but um, obviously not too too long, but just over her ear, a little bit there, okay and come in Here, okay, awesome, i know sounds like it feels good. Does it yeah? Is it not funny? I have said for like years just so she just said. If you didn't hear it sounds like it feels good, so it just does like there's just something about hearing the shears just trimming the hair. I just love it so much. Oh, that is so cute. That is so me, so you can see i'm just taking those sides up to this length on the top, and you can see that when you get up there, that's the length okay, so same thing on this ear, i'm just going to bring that length up some And then come on an angle, this way just down a little bit and then open and shut the shears like softly with little movements. So you can have the little wispies here, okay and then excuse me, the bang area, i'm going to come in and just kind of piece these out by coming on an angle and going over as i come down with the shears. Sorry get that off your eye. Okay, sweet and then after i dry, i love to double check the the bang area. So, okay, i'm gon na hold this out, make sure i've got the sides, even if you feel like there's a side that is a little bit longer. You'Ll obviously hold on to it a little bit longer, so just go back through and take a little bit of that off. If you need to okay and now texture um and you guys might want to watch on on you, she goes this way. So excuse me obviously there's more hair over here, so it's gon na feel a little thicker um. So when you texture just kind of watch it um, i'm gon na do a tiny bit like about here, but not any back here. Okay, because i feel like we don't need as much here so i'm just saying just kind of watch that um and it depends on each person, but if it feels a little thicker through this area because all the hair is going there, then just kind of watch That and then back here, i'm just going to do a little bit through the back and i'm just coming through about a half of an inch out. Okay, you don't want to go to the scalp um or you don't want to go. Excuse me and apart. Okay, so i'm just going to comb that out, then we're gon na style, okay, so root lifter. That removes just a little bit: don't overdo it or you're gon na fill it okay and then the volume and lift spray. Okay. Now you doing good here, okay, forget it all right, so we're gon na just dry, this back down and the blow dryer. I love my battleless pro blow dryer. It definitely can make a difference. The tools that you use to drying or styling hair for sure. Okay, so now that i have that dry, i'm just kind of moving up a little bit back and forth back and forth with my fingers. Okay, so you can see it's about 80 percent dry and just with a little bit of texture and that product it's pretty much standing by itself, then i can go back and forth. He feels so good, good, good good. Isn'T that the best? Oh, that and getting it washed right, okay, so i just have it on low, just making sure all this is dry back here and just like colleen said she has a little mini um flat iron and she'll, just take it and just put it through her hair Um i use the ghd platinum um. I really love this one. It it works for any type of hair. It has enough heat through it that it's not gon na burn, but it it actually will kind of heat to the porosity of your own hair. So if it's a little thinner, it's not gon na burn your hair. If it's a little thicker it'll pull out more heat for that hair, so, anyway, that's kind of fun. Okay, i'm gon na take a little bit. I am just milking this because it's my last can of clay. Okay, just rub this in good. I bought some other stuff from bed head. Um. Excuse me. I haven't used it yet but because, like i said i'm on my last last one and i don't want to have to change but anyway, i will show that to you guys if you guys are trying to find another one. Okay, i do want to show you guys back here, just piece this out and just pull it this and, of course, the bang area, and if i need to take some length off, we will okay now back home and then my goodness, i'm sorry. I should have put some gum in um, i love to spray, and then i love to put it in place. That'S what i love about the hairspray is it's still movable, but it will hold into place. So if i spray it, it's not going to like stick it right there, so it's more movable, but that's what i love, because then it will hold okay. Now i need to move her to the mirror. So i can see what i just did in a mohawk section: okay, where um. What i'd like to do is go to where um the client's heart is um. I go up through the parking where they part, which i'm going to show you that right now, mm-hmm. That'S the best way, anyway, so one more year, you can see she parks more on this side. Okay, so i'm going to come up through the parts and do that.
