Hi i'm radonna from boys and girls hairstyles. Today i have judy here with me. She lives in my town and oh man, she's been coming for a while now and she is such a good friend i love when she comes. We just chat, chat and chat. Some more don't we, yes, judy, might love to talk so we're just talkers anyway, um, okay, i'm gon na show you how we cut her hair. Just let's come straight across here to keep this short, okay and then obviously just clean. This up yeah judy moved here. How long ago did you move here, judy yeah, that's crazy, so 2015 yeah yep and i remember seeing her at one of the dance recitals. Her sister teaches dancing anyway, and this is really long. This time i don't know i'll, tell you guys about how many times she comes or how often anyway, but on to my story i'll, come back to that um yeah. I seen her at one of the the little dance recitals and she's like hey, so my sister gets her hair done from you. Yeah. Are you taking new people, i'm like sure i would love it, and so she ended up calling me and she's been coming ever since so yeah we've had some really good good good times so and then judy in between cuts. So today we colored her hair and every three weeks she gets a trim. Then, three weeks later she will get a color. Then three weeks later, she'll get a trim. So you know it's like every three weeks i get to see her. Of course, i see around town a little bit here and there, but anyway, so it's good good good. So her sister is tell him. Oh yeah, that's fun because so um lisa is one that i've done a video on a couple times and, and you guys have loved lisa's hair. This is her sister they're sisters. So that's who she was talking about when she says you know hey. My sister gets her hair done from you, and can i you know, are you taking new people and i'm like heck? Yes and so yeah, i'm glad you brought that up ellie. So she that's lisa's sister and lisa is the one that she's a drill instructor for the high school and then she has a dance studio at her house. So super fun, it's super fun and then it runs in the family because judy's daughter lisa does that. Doesn'T she yeah she teaches in st jewelry yeah, so she's teaching in saint george, so yeah, it's just granddaughter her daughter, lisa's daughter, teaches yeah see so it's funny how it just it's in the bloodline, yeah i love it. I wish my hair was thick like glue. Still, oh, my goodness lisa's so her her one! Well all your daughters um, because libby has thick hair like they all, have really really thick hair. Okay. So by this ear, i'm just gon na hold this hair here and then just trim into that then i'll. Let the hair go and just cut into this a little bit like this. Okay, then up here same thing, just point cut, then. Obviously you can follow. That guide. Point seemed longer this time. Judy, i feel like because i changed is that why yeah - because i haven't changed my appointment, so it put me back another week so, okay, that's what that's why it's crazy? What a week we'll do it yeah exactly she! I was washing her hair and she's, like i really used a curling iron on my hair. I'M like wait what she hasn't used her curling on her hair for well. Ever since i started doing your hair, i was surprised it still worked. Yeah. That'S so funny. I'M sure people are laughing out there, knowing like they've, been there done that before. Like oh yeah, i know how she feels okay, so take this side, okay and then over the ear and then just take the shears and go in this way and piece it out. Okay, perfect now the top piece that out yeah, you're gon na be loving life, your hair's actually going to like stand up and stuff. I hope gold hair doesn't cooperate. Oh i'm really excited to show you today, so i actually got a new product. It'S kind of like the root lifter, but it it helps your whole hair like i'll i'll, show you um something new yeah and that smells phenomenal. So yeah, i'm gon na use that on you today. So i'll show you okay! So i'm just coming up here through the middle, just making sure that it's uneven definitely want it uneven, see how there's some longer and shorter pieces. Okay now her sides, so she obviously likes her her side shorter, but not tapered, super short! If that makes sense, so you can see i'm holding it out taking a little bit off, but not a ton ton. She doesn't love it way short. She has some. I don't know if you'd call it curl a little bit down here, huh. So if it gets too, it never used to be curly until i got old right i'd love to hear that, like i really do, because so many people will say that i know gray literally has a different texture, it's a mind of its own. Yes, it absolutely does, and everybody out there that has had some gray is like yep it does. It has a mind of its own okay, all right so now for this side, we're gon na do that. We are going to take a little bit off on the sides, and i always like to come up see that layer up there. I always like to come from that layer. Yeah. Even your sides are really long. That is crazy. What one week will do, but it happens that way too, like i swear like once. That'S why if i didn't curl it, it was like dog ears. You got some dog ears on the side, it's too funny too funny. Okay. So now i'm gon na come down on the sides here. So, of course i don't go too short, but short enough, and then i just take little pieces throughout so there's different lengths and then, of course up through here, you can see how i come on an angle and take some off, so it's different lengths in there. This this and then i'll come back in and just kind of trim up the little edges. Okay, awesome, okay, so this is the one that i was telling you about. This is the volume and shine spray? Can you smell that? Oh yeah, that wow? I know it came out about a month ago and it's a shine, a lift and volume um. They say it's kind of like the thickening spray and the roof had a baby. Is it true? Does it work like that? It does? In fact, shari came in this morning to get her hair covered. She said you know how you said that the root lifter in the thickening spray had a baby, i'm sure glad they had a baby anyway, it's a new favorite but i'll bet it'll be mine. Yeah for real - because i think you know instead of just here, you're just gon na get it all over okay, so we are going to just dry this down and judy doesn't love texture. So we don't texture hers um. So if you don't like texture, this will be fun to see how we get that volume up there. So back and forth. Obviously, on the back area to dry that her color's super pretty on her too, she has. We do a 5 double n and a 4b um just to give it a little bit of warmth, will give it like a more of a chocolatey color instead of just a natural, so we put the b with it to add some depth to it. So without texture, you're really going to want to remove the hair, okay, move it with your hands, um the blow dryer back and forth back and forth, and then this is our favorite part, because you get a little massage! That'S right! You go to sleep i'll! Wake up when we're done we're fine with that: okay, okay, so judy! I want you to see with just drying yeah. You know the volume that it gives. Oh more so be happy yeah, it's so cute. Her husband loves her hair spiky. So when she did the curling iron she had, you know tell me: i looked old he's like don't. Do the curling iron sweetie, it was a spike, so i thought it was cute, so she's back with her spike. So that's really fun. Um, okay! So we're just gon na piece this out and then i'll back comb it just a little and then you will be set and i'm glad you guys got to meet judy. She is fun, fun, she's, a hoot we get going and we can go from one subject to another yeah, but we what's cool. Is we keep track of each other yeah like usually when you know that just shows how we are when we're we're a little bit. Um, are we crazy, maybe is that why we get each other, we usually get lost in a story. We just go with each other's stories. We'Re like oh yeah, that's yeah and then circle back and come back to it and circle back and then we're fine exactly right too funny. So i'm just back combing through this top and back area just a little bit and of course i spray. So that's just hair spray. Yes yep! It'S the twist one! It'S good! This one has a little bit more hold yeah, that's the one! I think. That'S the one i've been getting yeah, i think so the one that twists yeah it is. I like it yeah. It'S a good one. Oh does morris use it for his hair, oh yeah, and the black two in one he's a big hit he's addicted to that. Okay - and i do like that one time and the next time one of my others yeah exactly switch it up. I love it. That'S the best, so cute, yes and morris is happy with that yeah, so you don't have to get it all the time. So this is what i'm talking about too, is after you dry. If you feel like it needs a little bit, just seemed like it was a little bit too straight right there, so i just took a little bit out even a little bit more just so. It'S more pc, okay, i'm just gon na turn her to the mirror and make sure hey you're a new woman there. The body would smell that see what i'm telling you i mean now she's asking like.
