This video shows a short hairstyle known as the pixie haircut. This video is our video most requested from you as our clients. Please tell us what you think.

So i'm cleaning up just the bottom here and usually so rochelle's haircut um. You know we usually do we. We could do it once a month, um just to keep the shape. But honestly we get doing our stuff and get busy right rochelle right, but this is probably about five weeks of girls. I would say: um yeah, i would say about five um now from this area uh. I just i angle my fingers in more towards her head. Just because we want this tight back here, don't want to have to deal with it, okay and then, of course, up on the top and just point cutting, and you can see how much length i'm taking off for five weeks. Can you see that about a quarter of an inch - and you know what's funny - is everybody's um inches are different, so if people come in and say yeah, i want two inches off my hair. I make them show me with their fingers. What two inches means to them, because everybody's inches are different, it's kind of funny, actually, okay, so i'm going to hold this up 90 degrees out from the head until you get down um, you know about to her ear. That'S when i start angle, oh um angling. In okay and then same thing up here, just straight out from the head, it's been really fun with rochelle's haircut. I love it. Um we've had lots of compliments on her haircut um, which just makes me feel super super good and i've had people fly into utah to get their hair cut like my sisters, so it's really fun. I i love it, so i thought it would be fun to show again, okay same thing on the side, my fingers are more touching her head here than up top. Obviously, okay now over here same thing, just going to point cut into to the top at that 90 degree, which means just straight out from the head and then when you get to this area again, just start bringing your fingers close to the head and angle. In so last time, like i said the video of the color, because she gets a lot of compliments on the color, also, which i use the bleach and 4r for a little bit of the red brown in there um and the key. You know people will ask about rochelle's hair all the time and and when i respond um it's it really. Is the haircut a lot about texture, point cutting and texture, and then obviously you know how you style it, how you dry it um, which is super fast and easy? Okay, yeah! So that's good um! Now what i'm gon na do is kind of come up. This way see there's a little bit longer there. This way, you can kind of double check your work. Okay, so, like i say you can come up this way, just double check that over here a little bit see you just go straight up there and just double check that okay and then i'll texture back here in a little bit um now the top. I come straight across see there it's actually taking a little bit more or no that's about no! That'S about a half of an inch in my inch book. It'S just funny like with a short haircut. It'S crazy! What just a little cut will do it style. So much faster, so much easier, so you can see i'm just holding this straight up. Point cut point cut, okay and then um. She she goes to this side so well. I'Ll show you that in a second so by her ears, i'm going to take this this in a little bit. You can see that length, okay and then right here on the sides. So you can see. I just hold it straight out, but then i just point cut into that. So there's little little pieces that aren't the same length. Okay, then i'm going to bring this up. You can see that that i bring her ears. I mean it's close around her ear, but not clear up above her ear if that makes sense, so it's down just a little bit: okay and i'm just going to take this hair and get rid of that behind her ear. So it's nice and clean back there. Okay and that looks um pretty pc there. I'M gon na piece this out a little bit through this area, which you just open and shut your shears very softly. Um don't come in and chunk like this just open and shut softly, and then that will take the hair off um. You know like like this: instead of a chunk. Okay, now this side same thing, i'm going to hold this out and take that little corner off. Point cut point cut same on this area. Okay, all right now same thing right here, i'm just gon na clean this up behind her ear. Just so, that's nice and clean right there and then um angle. This down, like i said it's it's up by the ear, but not quite all the way around her ear, it's just a little bit longer. Okay, this side seems like it needs a little bit more piecing so open and shut the shears in small movements that is taking hair, making it shorter up in, and so when we go to put the styling stuff on, you can see that it pieces it out. Okay, all right now same with the bangs we're gon na. Do that we're gon na come on this angle, open and shut those shears see you can see those it's cutting littler hairs in there. Let'S do it on this side see shorter to longer, and then you skip over a little bit shorter to longer again open and shut. Slowly see you can see that that's shorter in there. Okay, that's how you piece this part out of her bangs. Okay, all right now get that hair off. You know sorry um um! I come check. The sides make sure they're. You know even this way feels like a little bit through this area. So i'm just going to take that a tiny bit shorter. Okay, perfect! All right! Now texture, so my sister has a lot of hair, but it's fine um, the texture of it. So it's really important for texture. You guys to get this look um to help it stand up, if not it just kind of plops um. Now i'm first going to use these texturizing shears, i'm just going to come through this um, i'm going to come up through this back, because sometimes you can get lines back here in the back. But if you uh texture back through this area, this helps blend anything and that doesn't look blended okay, so you just take that out now, i'm coming up through here to take some of the hair out because, like i said she has a lot of it. She just it's just fine, so um i've done that and now i want to show you the difference between these. So you can see, the teeth are close and you can see these are more chunky. So i'm going to use these more towards like her ends. Okay and not a ton, but just just a little bit, this can give it um, you know, make it look more piecey and you can see i'm just kind of doing that by the ends: okay, all right, and what that does people a lot of people are Scared of texturizing, but it can make a haircut. I promise promise promise you that um and you'll get used to it. Just just keep going. Okay so, and you can see that after i do that see, it stands up so at home. If you don't get texture, if you try to stand it up like that, it won't stand up as as well. It'Ll fall um! That'S just a way you can see if you have good texture or not if it will stay up. Okay, now i'm just gon na add some products here to give her volume. Okay, all right and then drying is another key. That'S really important for well for any hairstyle, but especially short um. Okay, i'm just gon na dry. This down, you can see how i'm moving my fingers back and forth. You don't want to just do it in the same place, go back and forth that will help it have more texture. It won't be as like, set looking okay, so back and forth back and forth with the finger. Then, obviously you can see right here. I'M kind of coming up so it'll glow this way and then once it's about 80 percent dry. That'S when i like to take an epic brush and go back and forth, give yourself a little massage while you're drying your hair, very good, yeah, okay, and some of you, um, you know, might need to, depending on the texture of your hair, you might need to Flat iron but rochelle's you don't it's it's just nice. It just goes into place. Um, i'm just going to take some clay to piece it out here and and, like i said, you know to get a certain look, see i've rubbed it in my hands and then i'm just gon na grab at it, and you can see that i just kind Of pull at the hair, just kind of pull up to piece that out feeling better, they look good, that's right, exactly that's the best! Okay peace out these sides. I always like to make sure those are even i'm gon na go a tiny bit shorter right here and then i'll show you how i backcomb it and right here i'm going to do a little bit there. That was a little long. So i'm just bringing this to the side this way, which is fun. That'S why i like the color in it. It gives it um the separation and dimension in there, okay and then, of course, i always love my wah lock home my pin comb and when i back comb up here just in down and out like a little c shape. Not you know a lot of people go up and down, but you can see i go in down and out just little like that. Okay, then i love to spray it and then just put it into place after i spray it. Then i know that sounds weird, but then i spray it one more time i like product, it's fine. I can spin it right. Okay, sorry! I got ta look at her this way, because i can't see super cute rochelle you're super amazing. Oh thanks. Thanks thanks. Okay, so, like i said i just kind of grab at it, one more time spray it put it in place so so cute and then the shyness shine it up after okay awesome. Thank you, rochelle love you so much. Thank you. Thank you for watching um. I really appreciate it go ahead and jump on my email list. I really um love that you guys support me. So thanks. So so much have a good day. See ya! You

Elaine MulberryRat: I absolutely love Rachelle's colour and haircut. This is my favourite style and this is the one I've shown to a few hairdressers. However not easy to find someone who can cut this like Radonna. Best wishes from UK.

Paula Titus: I have silver hair that is very thick, coarse, and curly in the back and on the sides. I used to be able to blow dry the curls straight using a round brush. But in the last year and a half my hair has changed and become really hard to manage. The curls have become pretty much unmanageable. I love the pixie cut. Would my hair be good for one? Cut with scissors or razor? Thanks for your help.
