Super Short Pixie Haircut - The After Video!

Hi all welcome to the second installment of my vlog. Before I get started, I need to thank a handful of people. The first one is you because I came onto YouTube with a single short video saying: hey, I'm going to cut my hair, and I was thinking this is going to be so great to mesh. With my blog and I turned around a few days later, I expected nothing from this video and you guys came through and just I guess, loved it. I had 40 subscribers and I thought wow, that's so cool for first video and I'm so excited and so grateful to share this journey with you guys. Y'All have no idea. The second person I want to thank is nothing but Bob's. On Instagram um, this person Jes started emailing me and she was just wanted to feature me and she had some questions that she was asking me and I thought that was so fun and I agreed to answer a couple of questions and on top of that, tell You guys to go check her out, because, if you're here because of my haircut, then you are going to love her Instagram account. It is going to be so fun for you. It'S a bunch of different super short haircuts on very real women, and I don't know when I was trying to decide whether I was going to cut my hair and on. I definitely took to Instagram and I hashtag pixie cuts, and that would have been a page that I definitely would have continued to check out. As I went through this process. The second person I want you to check out is perfect, underscore Pixies at Instagram. They also featured me, and they were just an incredible page to work with. You will love it again. It'S all pixie cuts all super short pixie cuts, beautiful women go check them out. Um. Second of all, so one of the questions that nothing but Bob's had was the length of my hair when we show it all off, so let me show it off. It is a little grown out due to some technological issues that I had to work through. I didn't get to do this video until today. I not for lack of trying trust me, but those technological issues are completely hammered out now and hopefully we can get a video up every week after this coming week, so my hair has grown out a little bit. It'S been a couple of weeks, but he originally did a number three on the sides and a number four up top and you can see it's all going on. My hair is so super curly. So I'm going to show you all the sides um I love it. I love it so so so so so much I get. Compliments everywhere I go. I get. Compliments on all my social media account. It has just been such an incredible journey. A lot of people are afraid. They'Re, like I want to do a pixie cut, but I would never go that short, but let me tell you I'm buzzing: it down is a difference of a week, maybe two weeks from where you might want to be. If you're going as short as I am - and it is such an inward journey, such a fun thing to do to look yourself in the mirror and see nothing but you I love, I love walking out and getting compliments in comments and being beautiful for who I Am not just this massive hair that I have it is so much fun. It really is um. Second of the second question that nothing, but Bob asked me was: would I be willing to on camera, take a razor show, you and shave it down to one or two. That'S got short answer and a long answer. Yes, but not right. Now, before I do that on camera, and maybe in the future within the next year or two, I definitely will I want to do some super fun things I want to dye my hair. I want to do some baby like make it all blond with the black. Like the dark of my natural hair, showing underneath and then maybe later do a purple or a maroon in the fall, I can't wait to do some fun things. I'Ve never touched my hair. It'S always been this, this mass of curls that I've just been too afraid to ever touch and so branching out y'all branching out, and I cannot wait to do that like I just can't wait to share that experience. Excuse me and that journey with you guys because y'all are the ones who are here watching this, perhaps because you're interested in doing it for yourself, and I can't wait to just tell you everything that I'm doing and how I'm doing it. And - and I want your opinion - I want your input. Tell me in the comments what you'd like to see me do and I'm in one of those worlds in one of those moods right now, where I might just do crazy things and go do it. So if you have something you want me to do to my hair, go ahead and put it in the comment. I will consider it within reason and maybe give it a shot for a little bit. Hair is an expression of yourself and it is so fun to work with um. The next thing I want to talk about is I've. Had a lot of people ask me if I use products? Yes, absolutely my hair, as curly as it is, is still very dry. It'S still very brittle, I'm surprised, I don't have an oil problem, my hair doesn't get oily, even short. People said it, but I guess because my hair is so very dry. It doesn't really have that problem and if I don't use product it still puffs which totally shocks me so before I go on I'll, show you what I use these are my favorites. This is Shea Moisture, shampoo and conditioner um, this one's restorative and this one's intensive hydration. I don't know if you guys can see those, but Shea Moisture is one of my favorite products. All the way around. I use Shea Moisture for my two-year-old I used. They have baby products that are incredible and, and in fact my son's face. Soap gets off more of my makeup than any of my makeup soaps. Do I maybe because they just use awesome quality product - I don't know, but it is one of my favorite and the lotion smells incredible um. The other thing I use - and this is what I was using right now. In fact, I found a YouTube tutorial myself and they said to try this redkin rough paste, and I've got to tell you it's my favorite one. So far, especially with my hair, which is super, it's textured super coarse and I just need something. That'S going to kind of help, keep a texture in it and keep it from just puffing everywhere. The other thing that I'm using right now is the herbal. It'S just Herbal Essence body and me volumizing hairspray, I'm sure there's better out there, and this is just what I grabbed at the supermarket one day when I just needed to get my hair done, superfast anyway, so um next up. The next thing I wanted to talk about was my husband cuz. A lot of people were are asking: how does my husband feel about this at first? He wasn't super super excited about the idea, but I've been talking about it for three solid years and at some point he looked at me and he said it's just hair. You can do anything if to your hair, you want to it's. Just hair and it'll grow up and he has been so supportive. Since then fact, I've almost chickened out a handful of times, and he has reminded me it is just hair and now that it's cut he loves it. He loves it. So much he's like you're like a whole new girl. I have a whole new wife, so it's a lot of fun to have that difference in in your visual appearance, especially with people around you. It just has been a blast and how do I like it? I love it. I love it. I love it. I love it. I love it. I will probably keep it short for quite some time because oh man y'all so easy, so easy I've gone from an hour-and-a-half routine to a five-minute routine. I can shove my head under the water, go like this and then put product in it rough it up and and set it. How I want it and go and and the whole process takes me less than five minutes as a mom. That'S incredibly liberating you have no idea, or maybe you do. Maybe you have kids and you spend forever on your hair and you cut it and you're like this really is way easier. I sincerely don't have much maintenance on it right now, um I'm going to let it go out a little more, but I don't know if I'm going to get into new to grow it all the way out or if I'm going to continue to kind of keep It in a very short pixie, I love the very short pixie right now anyway, that is all I have for you um, like I said I hope, to load a video a week. I am going to Cozumel this next week, so that'll be fun and when I come back, I can't wait to share some of that with you, along with a haircut update.
