Space Buns For Short/ Pixie Cut Hair!!/ Curly Pixie Cut Chronicles

Hi my name is andrea and if you've never watched any of my videos welcome, please stay hope you enjoy. If you have seen my videos last video that i made it was a dorm tour of lenape hall, a couple people messaged me saying that they really thought that my space phones are really cute and they don't know how to do it on short hair. So i thought that i would show how i do it. I don't know if it's gon na work for everyone, because i do have kind of like an outgrown pixie cut. But let's see, i would say that this hairstyle is good for people who are trying to grow out their pixie cut, which i'm trying to do not for any reason other than like. I got tired of it, there's not much. I can do with it so yeah. Let me show you so the first thing i do is wait. I have a bobby pin here, because the sides of my hair don't stay down. The first thing that i do is try to separate my hair in a way where all the longer hairs are on top. The shorter hairs are left out. My hair cut is kind of like the top is significantly longer than the sides, so this is actually kind of easy. I can see like what parts of my hair are still dyed and those are like the longer pieces kind of looks like that. Okay, so i parted the other side. I hope you can see that now, you're gon na take some product of your choice. I guess whatever you do to like lay stuff down and comb this part down, so that you can differentiate. What'S on top of. What'S on the bottom, i have naturally fine hair, so i don't have to use much of anything. I have like this curling cream. That works like it's heavy enough, that it'll just like hold this part down, and that's all i need so the next part which might work for you or might not. It really depends. My sides come up a lot and i kind of can't get rid of it, but if i bobby pin them down it's significantly less once my hair dries, so i bobby pin any parts that are like sticking up down. Well, i sound so raspy wow, okay. So now that the sides are pinned next step is to comb out everything on the top make sure you have everything on the top. You don't want to like miss pieces and then you're going to split it in half. It looks cuter when, like you part it, so i suggest like actually parting it and i'm gon na tie up one side just to like keep it separate. Oh, my god come back the part that you're about to turn into a bun right and you're gon na start french braiding. You don't necessarily have to do this part, but i like to do it because it holds down all the hairs and it looks a lot tighter and nicer. You get a little braid on top it's cute. I have a bunch of long hair on the side. I'Ve got a whole bunch of hair. Oh no, i'm just gon na like braid it. In later. It'S okay, it'll, be fine; it'll be fine. My bobby pin fell out so once you have a braid right, i braid a little extra to hold it in place. While i cut it down, but this is the part where you make the bun, i do a half ponytail bun, so i start like i'm making a ponytail. Sorry my face is so weird when i do this and then i pull it through, but not all the way, so it makes a little loop right. Okay, you're gon na leave that there for now and we're gon na do the other side. When you do these buns, you don't want them to be too close together. I find that when they're too close together, they do look weird. It'S easy for at least with my haircut to fall towards the middle more because my sides are tapered, so i just have more hair in the middle. Try to fight that by the way. I do this on um day, three hair. My first two days, my curls are monifique, but on the third day, they're kind of struggling. So i wear this hairstyle once every three days. A lot of people know me for this hairstyle. Actually, it's quite eye: comback. Okay, i'm on the second bun. Now these hair ties are the og because i have not lost them and i've had them for most of quarantine. Okay, so the buns right now look like this and yes, i know i look like shrek, but i'm gon na, let my hair dry up a little bit and like let the outside dry like this, so that it keeps like a shape, and i will come back To you in you, won't know the difference i'll be back and we're back so the last step or the second to last step depending how the buns come out. We'Re gon na fan them out a little bit, so they create a little rainbow. You know how these buns work just pull the hair in as many directions as you can. It'S mine never look perfect at first, i bobby pin them i'll. Show you how i do it in a second but try to spread out the hair as much as you can, and it should look like that. At least mine look like that. After i finish, let me do this side. Try not to pull the hair out of the little bun. I do that all the time and it's really annoying because then i have to like tuck it back into the bun and it's just a lot more work than i think it's worth. Oh, you see, i did it just now. Look at that okay, so they look really wonky, but i swear it gets better. Some of the hair kept falling out. I tried to put it back in, but it just wasn't working so we're just gon na bobby pin it down. I use the bobby pins depending on need. Today. I need four because these buns are not working out for me. I try to bobby pin the root of the ponytail down to my head. If i bobby pin it at the edge it, you can tell that it's been pinned down. But if you bobby pin like the very base of the bun down, it looks more natural and you could hide it in the hair better. So all that hair that was done is now pinned away, perfect, okay, so i'm three pins and actually two pins. I pinned one on this side. I fixed the bun by the way i just redid the whole thing um. I only pinned it once on this side. I'M gon na pin it twice on this side. I'Ve already pinned this part. I just need to put this part. All right, well, this one's a little smaller than her sister, but like they're cute, and that is the only hairstyle. I know how to do with my natural curly pixie hut. I hope you enjoyed this video.
