Hey y'all: what's up, it's alicia welcome back to my channel, so in today's video i am going to be styling. My pixie cut for the first time by myself and i'm low-key a little bit nervous. I don't know why i'm so nervous, but it's just a whole different kind of hairy style that i'm used to so um. I figured i would just come on. Camera show myself, you know figuring it out with you guys doing some trial and error, i'm already at peace, with the fact that this probably won't be like a perfect pixie cut. I mean. Hopefully it comes out good, but if it doesn't it's all about trial and error - and this is my first time installing it on my own - so we're going to see how this goes um, i just rinsed out all the conditioner out of my hair. So this is how my hair is currently looking. You guys know by now that my hair is partially relaxed and partially natural. My curls right here are still natural. You guys see so those are so natural, but of course everywhere else is like super straight, because i got it relaxed um. So first, i'm gon na do is apply a little bit of leave-in conditioner. I know leave-in conditioner is like it's more of a preference, depending on who you are bites to add a little bit a little conditioner for moisture, even though i am relaxed now. I still like to take good care of my hair because i still want my hair to be in the best health i want for it to be super healthy, so um taking a little bit of leave-in conditioner and if you guys didn't see it's the niche cosmetics Lavish leave-in conditioner, so i'm just applying some of that and just running it through my hair, all right. There we go next, i'm going to apply my foaming lotion. This is like the necessary step throughout this entire process to get the pixie cut, to lay the way you want for it to lay so this is the nairobi rabbit shine, foaming lotion and i am going to oh, my hands are slippery. Put a couple of pumps of the foaming lotion. Well, actually, no, i need a lot. My stylus used a lot, so i'm trying to use a lot as well and first i'm going to just rub it all over, get it all over. My hair, like go super heavy-handed with it. Okay and now i'm going to take my comb. I just have a simple black comb and i'm going to part my hair and just figure out kind of like comb, the hair, where i want for it to fall, and then i'll follow up with this um really hard bristle brush. Just to make sure that my all of my hair is laying flat, but i'll start with the comb first get everything to kind of work. The way that i want for it to fall and then lay it all flat with this brush, she told me i have to use a um a really hard bristle brush, because my hair is still natural up here. So if i want for it to be flat, the brush has to be a harder bristle brush. So comb, then this bristle brush before i go in with the hard bristle brush i'm about to go ahead and get my wraps out just so that way, they're ready to go because as soon as i get done, brushing my hair down, i need to immediately put On these wraps um, i got these from my local beauty. Supply store, really affordable and i'll - probably use like three um for my head, so i'm gon na get three of them out. You guys see i'm gon na use those, but i want to have those prepped and ready to go so that way, whenever my hair is late, i can just like instantly put that bad boy on and tie it up. So my hair is laying nice and flat. So take a little bit more of the styling wrap lotion and now i'm going to take this bristle brush and lay it flat. Here'S the back of my hair and you can start playing with it and, like figuring out exactly how you want your pixie cut, to fall and how you want for it to lay so i'm going to just brush it. The way i want my bangs to fall. I want this part to fall towards the front, make sure i do that, and i also get this side all right. Everything is pretty much flat. My natural hair is starting to curl up, so i have to hurry up with this okay y'all, so everything is flat. Now and now it's time to put on the wraps so i'll, take one and just put it on like that and tie it. Okay take another one, take another one, all right, so that's how my hair is looking. I kind of want to put one more on for, like the top of my hair, i'm not sure if i should be doing this or not, but i'm gon na put one for the top of my hair just to see if that helps the top portion lay Down flat, all right y'all, so this is how my hair looks um we're going to try it out we're going to try it out and see what happens like. I said it's all about trial and error um, let's just pray for the best okay, so i think i have majority of my hair covered. I think most of it is still flat. I know like the crown of my head. It'S waving up and it's kind of curly, but it also happened whenever i got my hair didn't at my styles, because my hair is so natural, so that part getting that straight is very unlikely, but i do know how to straighten it out after i sit under The dryer so i'll show you guys that in a little bit, but for the most part, though, i do think that my hair is laying flat. I think it's covered really well, so i'm going to sit under the dryer for like 30 minutes or so 30 to 40, probably 30 or so minutes um. Let my hair dry! Let my hair set let my mold set into place, and then i will come back to show you guys the rest of the process once i get from under the dryer. The process is pretty easy: it's not going to take that long, so stay tuned. For the end results but yeah, i must go ahead, get in the dryer and i will see you guys in like 30 40 minutes, all right y'all. So i set another dryer for like 30 minutes or so and i'm about to go ahead and take these wrap. Strips off, i know i did not do them properly, so i'm gon na have to study this technique, um a lot more because yeah. I know it wasn't the way it really was supposed to be. I think it was good enough, so this is my hair. Currently, actually it doesn't look that bad at all. Um, like the relaxed areas, of course, are super sleek, so that area is laying down really well. It'S mainly the natural area which i knew would be harder to deal with, but my stylist did show me a technique to help straighten my natural hair, so i went ahead and i purchased this um blow dryer comb. I just bought like this universal blow. Dryer comb from local beauty supply store. It was like five dollars and i just hooked it on to a normal blow. Dryer regular blow, dryer just pop this bad boy on like so, and it becomes a blow dryer comb attachment. So i am going to just blow dry pretty much like the crown area of my hair. I don't want to disrupt the hair, that's already like laying flat, but i definitely want to get my natural hair a little bit straighter. So i'm going to blow dry that area for like a minute, not long at all and then i'll come back and show you guys how i finish: styling my hair, all right, so that was definitely under a minute to blow dry. The crown area of my hair and now my hair is not curly anymore um, it's a lot straighter, so i just need to run a flat iron. You know, of course, over everything, and then we should be good to go and i'll have to kind of, like you know, jazz up the baby hairs my edges a little bit but making progress, okay, making progress. So now i'm going to take my flat iron. I got this flat iron from my local beauty supply store as well. It is the um. Let'S see it's the red by kiss titanium styler. So it's i think the half inch flat iron you guys can see like this flat iron is so tiny. It was like 25 super, affordable um and it works really really really good. So if you guys are looking for like a really affordable, yet small flat iron, i would 100 suggest this one i'll go ahead and link it down below, but i am going to turn the flat iron on and right now i have it set to 350. So i have to let this warm up a bit. It takes like a minute or two to warm up, and then we are going to get to styling and before we apply the flat iron, i'm going to apply some heat protectant. This is the design, essentials, agave and lavender blow dry and silk press styling primer. My stylist also use this in my hair as well, and it smells so good, but it also gets your hair really sleek really flat and it protects your hair from heat damage. So we'll be using this, i'm going to spray this onto my hair. I just run that through my hair, not that i really care about getting heat damaged, but um, i'm all about preserving the health of my hair, so make sure i get that added on see. This is laying really well like. All of that is laying really well. It'S just the natural part that we got to get together all right, so our flat iron is nice and hot and all i'll be doing is just simply straightening. My hair - and this doesn't need too much of a tutorial because or like too much in-depth conversation, because it's just literally me like finding pieces and straightening it, but i will just be straightening the back portion of my hair. This whole section right here i'll be straightening. It and bumping it i'll, be um curling the of course top portion of my hair as well, and then i'll be curling like some of the sides just to give it some volume up top. You guys will also notice that i'll be curling pieces going different ways, because i find that really helps with the volume it makes. The look look a little bit more. You know funky a little bit crazier and just not so uniformed and like defined. I want for it to have a little bit of um, so i'll be curling some pieces going like to the sides some pieces going to the other side. Some pieces going to the front it'll be like a little mix of everything. So taking my comb taking small pieces and i will just be straightening them simple as that: okay y'all, so i am done styling my hair and i don't think i did a bad job. Okay, i think i came through and i pulled this look together. Um. I do know that i want to work on like the molding process and like putting their wrap strips on, but i do think i was able to save the hairstyle and i think it looks so cute, like i kind of whisked the um like the bang area. So i i think it looks cute like what do you guys think i i love it um. I find that the bangs have a good amount of volume. Here is like the back of my hair, so i really really love how it all came together. I will say straightening: my hair was super easy like so so so easy to just straighten my hair. It didn't take much time at all. It would have been a whole lot worse if my hair was natural. Just being honest, so um yeah, i'm feeling it. I am about to spray a little bit of um oil sheen, and this one is the care care oil sheen, and it also has a humidity block in it. So that way, whenever i step out into this houston humidity, my hair will last, i saw my stylist spray, some oil sheen on my hair as well, and i think that really helped with my hair lasting as long as it did, and i'm also apply a little Bit of oil just like a drop of oil to my hair - and this is the diva curl high shine multi benefit oil so literally like two small pumps, kind of just like rub it through my hair finger comb, all that fun stuff. Just to add a nice shine there you go and then, of course take my hair spray, my oil sheen, just let that dry. So that way, my hair will last yeah that is it y'all. That was my first time styling my pixie cut um. I think i want to add a little bit more volume on this side, like just add a few more curls to this side of my hair, but i honestly am good with how it looks, as is so yeah a work in progress. Definitely some trial and error, and i know as i do it more often i'll get. The hang of it because, like a pixie cut, is a whole new ball game for me, but it was fun. It was much easier than i thought and i'm excited to just rock it and keep playing around with the hairstyle and just learn more as i go so yeah. I hope you guys enjoyed today's video. If you guys did please go ahead and give the video a thumbs up and subscribe, if you guys haven't already and as always, i love you all have a wonderful day, and i will talk to you guys next, video bye, guys

I am She: You did good Alisha If I may make a suggestion, from my own experience having relaxed and natural texturesat the same time. I would only mold the relaxed part. And just blow dry the natural part of your hair. it saved me so much frustration with trying to mold down these 4c curls. I think you did a great job Congrats

Baldahontas: It turned out well, I was nervous for you while watching...if I may give some tips: set your hair while it’s wet, it’ll take the foam wrap better...I would x the leave in and opt for an oil or oil moisturizer lotion after the drying process...also if you want volume maybe not mold the natural part so it keeps its texture to add thickness...I would attempt to comb chase the natural part just so it gets more smooth and has a more wispy/silky effect...coming from being natural so long, you did GREAT!

Ms. M B: Hey Alisha!! You did really good for this to be your first time styling short natural/relax hair. If you don’t mind I would like to offer some suggestions when it comes to molding your short cut. Tip number one would be when molding your hair especially the natural back section get you a ratail comb and part your hair and add the setting lotion to each parted section. I promise you it will lay down better. When you apply the setting lotion to the scalp it helps in laying the hair down underneath. If you just apply the product on the top but want the hair underneath to lay down as well you need to apply the product there as well as applying it to the top of the head. Also I would recommend getting a FHI Ceramic flatiron. They are a little more pricey but worth it for help maintaining the health of your hair.

Stephanie Oliver: You did a great job! I wore a pixie for years and still have short hair. I watched all of Kaye Wright’s videos. Her videos saved me from having bad hair days.

TERRYsGOLDENLIFE .SHINES: You actually did an excellent job! if I may give you some pointers since I'm a shortcut girl for decades ... I would say when mowing down your hair do the natural part with gel of your choice and do the perm part with the setting lotion that would totally eliminate the blow dry... Or you can just use gel on your entire hair the gel I prefer is by "IC" that gel does not harden ...after curling your way of choice then I will say style it with a rack-com that will give better volume and shape to your style...not to criticize you but I feel like you used too many products on your hair tried to break your products down to just using three the only thing I use is a leave-in conditioner to moisturize the jail to mold it the serum to bring volume and shine to it‍♀️

michelle Taylor: I love it!! it looks super easy

I to have a pixie and just a tip when applying the Nairobi apply it directly from the bottle place the nozzle as close to the scalp as you can get it that way more product is at the root of the hair it really makes a tin of difference and your hair will lay really flat. Watch the hairazor in here she has amazing tutorials and kayewright

Dominique Padmore: I love it! you look great!
