Pixie Cut Styling Options With Jett And Risk Comfort

There are more options than we think with styling a short wig. I'm wearing Jett by Estetica in silversunrt8 in the beginning and Risk comfort by Ellen Wille in Silver rooted.

Hey everyone, it's rachel with rachel's wig reform. Today i want to talk about shorter pixie, cut, wigs and the different styling options that you have with them. I am wearing jet by estetica, and the color is silver sun rt8 now jack is one of the very first shorter cut, wigs that i've ever ordered and i always have her in my collection. This is my third one. Last summer i wore jet every single day and then i purchased another one and i wore her all fall long at work with a headband on there's just a lot of different options that you can have with shorter wigs, and sometimes we overlook those options because of What a shorter pixie cut wig can look like when you first put her on out of the box, and i'm going to show you an example of that a little later in this video. So first, let's talk about jet jet does not have a mono part or a mono top. She has a small lace front piece that goes across the front here. That is it, and it goes back to about right here after that. Everything up in here is your basic cap. There'S no mono filament or no lace there, so you would not be able to pluck a part or anything in this wig, like you see me, do with a lot of my other ones. Jet is a little shorter on the left hand, side with a longer angled piece on the right hand side. So for the most part, this is what you're going to get out of jet. There'S a lot of movement in the fibers, but most people think well. You can only move her to the right hand side. You know what, let's see what happens if we start pushing this all over to the left side and what would it look like then so you're not going to get that longer? Well, you got this longer piece here, so let's get that over there too, so that longer angled piece that you had when she was parted over to my right side. That is going to look shorter when it comes over here to the left side, but because this is a basic cap and with the rooting in there you can maneuver it over to the side and that this is pretty easy. I mean i'm not even using any air or heat that is. This is the one thing that i've always loved about jet is there's like a texture to her fibers and they just move really well. So you can take this and angle her over to the other side. I would use some peace out cream by jon renau and just kind of work, those fibers over to the side, and it might have a little bump on here. Oh sorry, i thought like a giant bug or something just landed on my foot and i was ready to scream bloody murder. It'S not, i don't know what it was so see. You could angle her over to the other side, because sometimes people say i don't really care for the longer angled piece. Well, you can either trim it off if you prefer the part going to that side, or you can move it over like this and then just get in there and kind of mess up those fibers a little bit. And if you want this to be a little smoother to your forehead, you could do that too and make this a smoother looking wig. It'S all really comes down to your your preference, and you could bring this and pull this down across your forehead more. You could bring a couple of these longer pieces over to the side and smooth this out into a completely different look like this. It, it's all a personal preference, but there are always options in different ways. You can maneuver things. Okay, now the next wig i want to show you. I have already done a review on this wig. It is wrist comfort by alan villa, my original review. I did in champagne rooted, i believe the color was - and i ordered the this wig again, but i wanted it in silver rooted because i wanted kind of a brighter blonde, a little more like silver sun. So i took a shot with silver rooted now. Here'S the thing i normally show all my wigs right out of the box, and so you can see exactly what they look like and then you can see me maneuvering them and fixing them risk comfort. This silver rooted one well, i had a little issue with delivery and it was supposed to come to my house and ended up going to my p.o box. I needed this wig for an event. It said it was delivered and i'm like no, it wasn't and we finally realized it went to my p.o box and not to my my home address, even though the home address was on it. So i got up late at night and went up to my p.o box in my pajamas, bald head and found this wig brought it home. I put it on. I took before pictures. I will post them, but let me tell you it's not pretty. I took the before pictures, but then i immediately modified the wig because i needed to wear it the next day, so you're not going to see this wig out of the box. However, if you expand the description box, you will see my original review link to wrist comfort in the description box and you'll also see the link on how i modified her and i'm going to tell you. This wig came to me exactly the same way as the first one did, and i had to do the exact same modifications to it. So this is kind of a rare event for me to show you a wig that i have already modified. Wrist comfort is considered their their hand, tied version. You can get this in a wefted cap also now the one thing that is different with this hand-tied cap is when you pull it up in the back. Let me see if i can find it here for you. You can still see there's still um, there's still weft lines in there. It'S not like your typical 100 hand-tied cap that you would get by john renau, so you can see that there are i'll try to get a see, see the weft lines in there. They'Re still in there, but they're, not as dominant as what the weft lines are in in perry or i'm sorry in jet. So this is silver rooted and if you look, it is kind of close to the silver sun. This has a more gray tone to it, and silver sun has more of a brighter platinum blonde, with some silver like tones to it. Let'S go ahead and put this on now: here's the thing about pixie cuts when you first put them on some of them can look not so good, you kind of think helmet head or it ages. You sometimes you feel like, and that is what i my impression is when i first put this one on i mean i don't have this adjusted yet, but honestly this almost appears like a no don't don't don't wear that wig rachel don't buy that wig um. This looks a little like a roller set that my great-aunt marge would get who's 100 years old. God love her, i'm not trying to make fun of her. I'M just trying to be real. So when this wig came to me, like you, will see in the before pictures and um in the initial review of wrist comfort, it was very thick and long here on the sides and it was very long in the back like almost a mullet. But again, when you, when you put it on and you look you're like no, this doesn't work. This wig is not very long. It has just enough length and just enough, like texture and crimpiness, to this wig, to make it into different styles. So you can take this and see how just by pulling those bangs back and messing around with it a little bit now. This looks a little more honestly exactly like my hair was before i started having hair trouble and this wig once i got it modified to me. This is one of the easiest shortest wigs i've ever worked with, and what's nice about this is you can change the part because it's a full mono top and you get that illusion of scalp in there, where you do not get that? Oh, i just dropped that i'm sorry um, you do not get that with jet. Okay and if we look at jet she is a wefted cap. So when you pull up the hair fibers in the back, the wefts are more um more noticeable, and then it then they, you know i don't have very good coordination when i'm trying to hold on to these wigs, especially the shorter ones. So the wefts are more visible in this than it is in this one. So these fibers up in here you can move them. However, you want, if you wanted a funky, i know some of you might be thinking. What are you doing right now with that hair? But you know there are some people that can pull off, that mohawk look and it looks great on them. I'M not one, but this can go to either side that you want it to go to. I have no product in this at all and i am just maneuvering these bangs. However, i want them to be. You can like make this as tall and as spiky as you as you want. It has a really really good lace front on it too. I'M talking really good. I did not pluck anything in here and i did not cut the lace on this. It'S just a really good lace, part or a lace front. Okay, so you can go that way. You can take this and you can make it go over to the other side. You can make the bangs come down more onto your forehead. If you want that some people don't like their forehead exposed. The only length that i cut off was right here and in the back so again you can make it smooth across the front kind of flip it up. There'S all different types of styles. You can wear this wig. I prefer my part to go over to this side and i can see i'm just messing it up, and then i, like my bangs, to go up off of my face just a little bit more and i purchased this one again, because i did not care for The color champagne rooted on me it was a little a little too dark. I wanted a brighter color, so i did sell my first wrist comfort to a friend of mine and she looks adorable in it and she absolutely loves it, and then i ordered this one. In the silver rooted, because i'm going to be going back to work pretty soon, i do school pictures for life touch. We can be in some very, very hot rooms. We have a lot of equipment to set up. I do not want a fur coat on my neck when i am in some of these rooms. I don't want hair falling in my face when i'm bending over trying to set up my equipment, so i wanted to get a short little pixie cut, wig that i could just throw on in the morning and go out the door and not have to worry about It getting tangly in the nape, i can don't have to comb through it. I can just go into work and there's my hair, so let me do a 360 for you on this one. This was very long. It came down to almost here when you see the before and after pictures. You'Ll you'll notice the difference, but there are a lot of options in short, pixie cut, wigs and the way you can maneuver them and make different looks in different styles with them. Okay, sorry. I thought i forget it. I zoned out there for a second i'm back um, so this is silver rooted, ellen villa risk comfort. So this cap is going to be a little more expensive than just the basic wafted cap. But to me i think it's worth it with the shorter wig. It gives you more options and you're not as worried about the wefts showing in the back, because the length of this one in the back is a little shorter than the length of jet. So that's why i went with the the hand tied version - and i am much happier with this color over the champagne champagne rooted okay. So there are options, and the first time you put on a short pixie cut wig and it just looks like a helmet head play around with it. Let it you know, work those fibers get it to do what you want it to do. John renault piece of cream there's my dog is amazing, with these wigs um in getting these fibers to move and to stay where you want them to stay all right, everybody. I hope this helps with some pixie cuts. I know we see a lot of longer styles, and so i wanted to sort of just touch base on these shorter, wigs and a new color for me, and that is it for today be sure to check out my facebook page. The link will be in the description box and you can see the before and after pictures of this wig. Okay, everyone we'll talk with you soon.

peperlover99: Both wigs are very cute. Risk especiall is GORGEOUS, especially when the bangs are worn off the face. That lace front is amazing for that!

Anthony's Wig Spot: Risk comfort is such a cute style I absolutely love it on you!! I only wish I could fit into EW hand tied caps sadly they’d probably be a bit to small.

Pam Sanders: Your are the best!! I so appreciate how you show styling tips and how mono tops and hand tied all have a certain purpose! Thank you!! You look so awesome in both those styles!!

Dara C: Thank you so much! I have been looking at this wig and this has been so helpful.

Marie S: Hello, I just watched Tip Tuesday with Denise Sheets and she mentioned your site. I am so glad. It's great seeing how to style pixie wigs. Thank you.

Judy Nichols: Loved the video! Need to try the silver rooted in EW...

C. O'Connell: Thanks for this review! I just now found a great deal on Ellen Wille 'Tab' and wanted to know if I should buy it and came across this video. You really show how to style the short pixie cuts, thanks!

Suz: I want Jett but it won't be back in stock until October, I haven't seen Risk Comfort before but wow, I love it, I need it ....I want my bio hair like that! Did you find about the wig cap I asked you about previously you were going to ask Heather where/if I can get in the UK?

JoAnne Catelli: Great Rachel ... i have a Jett ... i may now need a Risk ... LOL ... both super cute and you wear them to Perfection ... !!!

Gigi McGuane: Jett looks so lovely on you. I think the pixies suit you so much.

Gigi McGuane: Your reviews are awesome.

peppys25: Hi Rachel...What product did you use with this wig to “work it” as you do? I did trim mine in the back and sides per yours and it looks sooo much better! Thanx.

Nathalie Bleau: Wow, I've been looking for a short wig, I'll give this one a try.

Gigi McGuane: Hi Rachel. Apologies for asking, but do you have a Kristin by Jon Renau? If so, could you show us how to make it wearable for a no ice wig wearer. I’m having so much trouble finding a wig that suits me and Kristin just seems so overwhelming. It would be so appreciated.

Suz: Hi Rachel, I know someone who is selling Risk Comfort in the shade Dark Sand Mix, do you have any knowledge of colours, I am wondering if it would suit me, my bio hair is strawberry blonde and I have pale skin, would this be too dark on me, no problem if you don't know hunni it's just that I really like this wig and it's selling for a good price but not good if it won't suit me, I like the colour you have, what do you think?
