So hi i'm madonna from boys and girls hairstyles today i have elaine with me and she is such a great client. She met me on from my youtube anyway, and she's been coming for a long time now. It'S been, i don't even know how it's been a little over a year, yeah it has and we've it's been fun. We put some purple through her hair and anyway, it's been great, but i want to show you her haircut. It'S amazing on her, and this is a really good haircut for fine thin hair to make it look full and if you want to be spunky and have fun with your hair, this is a good one. Okay, so we use the number three on the bottom down here and i go up to um, just like the middle of the ear and we go how long in between. Is it about yeah about six weeks? So it's nice because this number three lasts her six weeks. Okay! So after i do that, then we come up to the top and she likes it short and spiky. So yeah there's about that much growth in the six weeks, so you can kind of just gauge it. You know from your client how they come back like how how much it's grown um, but her hair definitely grows fast. Okay, so you can just see that i'm bringing that into there and you'll see it in just a second. When i come on this side, so point cut point cut and then right here you can. I i have my fingers like touching the scalp, and i come in and cut that and and i'll blend this here in just a little bit so poor elaine walked in with a boot on hi elaine. Yes, oh, she had a fall, which is super sad. So hopefully your foot he'll soon feel so bad for you, ah you're, a tough one, you'll be good, won't ya i'll, be fine. Once it's healed, yeah see, that's fine it'll stop hurting when it stops hurting. Okay. So you can just see that i'm i'm coming from the top over. Let me grab by the ear here. Keep that tight. Okay, then i just hold the ear down with my comb and take that length off right there. So it's clean by her ear, then i'll blend this here in a minute top here point cut and you can see on this side, see how my my fingers are pointed down where, on the other side, it was kind of the other way just make sure it's Touching - and you will be great - it's just kind of the angle that you're at where your fingers will change or you can make sure you can. You know just flip your hands around too that's great, whatever you feel more most comfortable, doing, okay, and then again after that, i hold her ear down with my comb. Then i take that length off right there, okay and then the top i'm just coming straight across was your drive good. It was. Was that good, good good? You never know the traffic like now, it's like it doesn't matter what day it is. It always seems busy. Everybody'S on the road, i'm like what yeah i was seeing that today i thought. Oh, a lot of traffic yeah! It'S crazy, crazy, crazy, okay! So then, after i do that full top here, then i come to the side and you can see that's that top layer. Here and i'm going to just come this way: okay, up to the top there see when it starts getting longer. That'S why she likes the number three. She does have a curl that starts going with her hair, so i do yeah. So that is definitely one thing. She um likes to do is keep it really short for that reason, so she doesn't have it start to flip out or do funky things right. Yes, unfortunately, two of my boys have inherited that and a couple of my grandsons have oh, they do, of course the girls wouldn't get it, but the guys would right yeah right around her ear, just kind of cut into these. So it's all different lengths, okay and then we'll do this side and you can see that's my guide point up here from this layer all right again, i just come around that ear. Take little pieces out there sorry and get little pieces on your face. That'S all right: they brush off. Oh you're, awesome! Okay! Now i'm just coming in here. You can see i'm coming on an angle, but i'm coming from the top, and that way we can piece that out. Okay, so then go to the side make sure these are the same length. It'S feeling a little bit long over here, so yep. There'S that little corner isn't that funny when you can feel that and then you go to see and you're like oh there, it is okay. Now i'm gon na take the blade up there for the attachment and then back through here, i'm going to just come back and forth just to blend this through this area, where i finger cut and the clippers, are we just like this tight and we don't want Any bulk left behind okay and then the little trimmers - and you can see here i'm going to take this comb and i'm going to bring it here and you can see that hair sticking up. I really like to get those corners tight, so she doesn't start getting her little wings when her curls come back. So if you can get the corners tight, that's great! Okay, then i just bring this up kind of clean that up just a little bit more okay. Make sure that's tight and of course here, so you can kind of see i just kind of round around her neckline. It'S not real square. I just always like to comb to make sure i get all the little hairs and then go around the ear and make sure that's cleaned up a little bit on that front and a little bit on this corner. Okay, so on this front on i'm just gon na clean that up a tiny bit, tighten it like. I did the other side. Okay, sweet now, texture, we definitely like texture up through the top, and you can see our hair is a little fine. Um color is gorgeous, but we still did some texture in there. That is, for volume and you'll see when we want to spike her hair that having that texture in there helps it stay up. Okay, so now root lifter and mousse, and then the volume and lift spray just spray a little bit on that. Okay, so we'll just uh dry, this bottom down, which is nice when it's not short, you just dry it a little, and it's done yes, okay! So it's about 80! That'S what i'm going to bring in the epic brush give her a little massage. I mean that is easy, peasy right and then she likes just to like sit up and messy. So we just come through. We just take little sections of the hair, um, obviously put the flat iron and just pull straight out, which you can see. I'M doing that here in the back, which, when i go to style it you'll see how cute it is because it's you know, what's fun and spiky all the way through and then it just tightens up and is so clean and really classy. Okay, now the magic boop, the clay. I rub it in real good and elaine you're, probably gon na, like it um back short again, because it's been toasty. Yes, it's been so hot. It has been. I was talking to a fellow that was up here from st george last week. Oh yeah, is it any cooler up here and he says no? No, no, it's not. Usually they probably come this way to get a little bit of relief, but yeah. Not these. Last couple weeks it's been nuts, so one of my cousins saw the picture of you and i went oh yeah yeah. I had my first haircut. She said i saw you on facebook no way. I love that that is so cute. Well good. Now you can go home and call her and tell her you're gon na be on again. That'S right, love, it love, it love it okay and then i just take spray that you can just kind of grab at it and spray and put it just poke it out there that is so cute she's, seeing you that's fun. Okay, that is adorable. Okay, i'm gon na show you okay how's. It feel feels great good great too awesome. Thank you. Thank you. Okay, i'm going to just get one little piece here. Just all do your finishing touches. You know when you're done drying, that's when you're going to see them. Um, sorry, that's what makes just a really good cut just little touches at the end.
