I'm going to show you how to do a wedding day hairstyle for a pixie cut. We're
starting with natural texture to the hair. A little bit of wave, misted a
little bit of texturizing spray through it and we're going to section off
this piece in the front. We're going to do two little twists here and you can
do this on various lengths of bangs if you have a really long fringe, you
could do it with it as well. If you have something really blunt, even kind
of, a bowl cut you could do it with is as well.
What we're going to do is we're going to start here on the corner and this isn't
the corner of her hair length, actually a little farther up than that and
we're just going to start twisting it. As we twist the piece, we're going to pull
up this bottom layer with it. I do that until I get to the front of the
hairline and then, you can really start to see it. You can start to add a
little bit of the piece to the bottom.
Instead of this going along with the hairline, I'm actually going to
transition it down so you're just basically twisting the ends into the
twist. From here to here, this is just bangs. This is the hairline and this
is where we're twisting it to, so you could see if you had longer, you
could twist it even longer or it would be a way to kind of, fake that your
bangs were shorter if you needed them to be.
I'm trying to make it all the way to her hairline on the other side. Once
you have it all the way to the end, you're going to use a bobby pin. For short
hair, especially for pixies, I like to use these. These are the smaller
bobby pins. They're about an inch long and you can get them to color match
the hair. She's a blond so we have little blond ones. I'm going to push the
bobby pin up in the opposite direction that I just twisted it and it hides
the bobby pin perfectly. There's a little bit showing here at the end but
nothing really.
It feels secure enough so I'm just going to leave it as it is. Then, I'm going to
pull down this top piece and we're going to do the same thing on to. You could
keep doing this as many times as you wanted to 'til you got the look that
you wanted to get but we're just going to do two. Again, I'm starting kind of
high on the hairline and I'm just taking whatever hair is left and adding
it to the twist creating a little definition between the two.
It's almost like a double rope and I'm actually going to have this one
twist down and meet where the other one is. Once you have that twisted,
again take your little mini-bobby pin there, press it going the opposite
direction that you just did. You can use little bits of hair to cover your
bobby pins if you want to. That is a really cute twist style to wear to a
wedding.
