Hello, everybody, it's been a little bit, we've asked and we are delivering. So it's not quite as much fun. I know fancier faces, i always say. If i did, if i didn't have like a little squinty eyes, you wouldn't be able to i'm smiling. You know we're smiling so um, but we are bringing you along. A lot of you been asking a lot of questions you're new to my channel, so we are going to kind of walk through the consult part i'll, we'll just kind of. Let you see what we talk about when i come in and sit down, and then she kristen. If some of you don't know this - is kristen um she's, going to walk you through how she does the cut and everything so perfect, all right! So, as far as today goes so, how are you feeling in the um the overall, i know some of your spots that you always we kind of alter are like around here we've been keeping this heavier around your face. Have you been meaning? Not so texturey? Are you? Are you still liking that i think i want it? A little more texture, um, maybe a little more layered, okay, and this is feeling quite long. Okay, really long right here on the side, perfect, okay and then what about on this side and that one too, i think i would like this, maybe a little more layered yeah. I do. I do like that. It can give you that, like a little bit of that like length, but yet it might be a bit heavy. So maybe if we layer that up a little bit yeah, that's for sure perfect. And what are you feeling about, like i know sometimes as well? We leave this a little longer and then through your crown, but how are you feeling this is like? I feel like this is a little long, but i'd like to leave this apart. Okay um the length all right there cool, because i think i do like this. So i know there's a little: it creates a little bit of a disconnect if we shorten this, but i do kind of still like to keep this a little shorter perfectly there and then um our undercut. I, like that good, shall we, i think, we've been kind of going, not as short due to it being winter and stuff like that, but uh. You know it's amazing how you get cold right now, even a lot of my male cousins were like. I can keep it a little longer right now. You know so: oh this is going to be 80 degrees. Yeah take my jacket off recently. I was like so shall we? What do you think? Let'S go back short, okay, so i think we were doing like a four, so we could do a three okay that'll. Take it down just a little bit like a little shorter and if we feel like i mean two gets pretty tight, so yeah yeah: let's just do it. I think we could do a three and um and then we're going to we had kind of been letting this back part grow. So we were kind of going to where we wanted this, like undercut to kind of for her to be able to be a little long and piece it and wear it different ways. Um, i think we're going to take it back a little bit shorter, still, keeping it a little disconnected meaning going shorter through the bottom, but also keeping this little bit of this leg, so she can still piece it apart, but kind of ultimately kind of blending. This back up essentially like layering it back up. That'S basically, because right now you can kind of see it looks almost a little. We'Ve noticed this the last few times. I feel on your haircuts that we kind of have a tail, and maybe you like a tail, but maybe not so we're not we're on the knot, so we'll just re-layer that back up and then um i'll kind of just blend it with the trim. Here you can kind of tell there's a little disconnect on the length there's just longer through here and it's a little shorter, so kind of marry that all back together. So so we've been kind of changing up her hairline and honestly, even for myself, it's been a little daring, but i kind of like it so um we've been kind of going with a pretty like a lot more of a dramatic v. I actually had another customer who just just loves it. So she's pushed me a little bit to do it on surely so um in a good way. I love the way that the illusion goes on the on the neckline, so i'm gon na just cut her. I just put my comb here and just kind of create that guide and a straight line, we'll call it now she in particular - although this is not you, she loves this little extra tail and she like doesn't want me to touch it so uh, it's funny how These little tiny variations can make someone's day or break-in yeah literally so shirley has a little bit of a a little bit of a different hairline here, like so many so i would just say you really want to make sure. As far as for the hairdressers just really send stand in the center, and obviously just do a lot less before you do more, which i think we're familiarized with that. So and even though she does have a little bit of a different like hairline. As far as like there's a little indentation here, i don't think you need to completely make it totally clean i'd, actually, rather not because when she starts to grow out, it will create a little bit more, we'll call it as natural as it can be in her Natural like flow, which sounds funny when you're creating a little bit more of a dramatic caroline there. So all right, so what i usually do, because we're kind of altering the way that this looks i'll just look at what i have kind of like left. I undercut that bottom, so you obviously can see the disconnect from the length here and the length here. So i will actually we kind of like the razor right we kind of discuss the razor gives it much more of a softer line. So that way we can. Let'S clip this up a bit just to start a little something, so, i would probably say, like she's, definitely got like a good two inches from it. So i'll probably take this up, probably about an inch and a half. To be honest with you, it is pretty long there and she wasn't in love and i changed for a while and i'm like oh yeah right, i got a ponytail yeah. I was gon na, say you you almost could ponytail it yeah so and then i, when i'm doing the razor, i don't give it like a super hard angle. So you're not like cutting a lot. I want to almost give her that, like feathering type idea there, so that way i know feathering but the real texturing. So that way it gives it that real pc pc look, and that does make a big difference. I bet it doesn't feel so bulky huh, yes yeah and because i do have thick hair a lot of people ask oh she's got a ton of it yeah a lot of people. I had. I remember one customer who i think came based on a referral for you and she was probably one of the closest similar to you and it was it was funny. I think i shared that with her like oh yeah, you you're not far off, so no one can tell you, you have different hair, but, yes, you do have thick hair, which means i for myself working with a razor. It'S not a problem. If someone has fine hair, you might want to go a little more like scissor cut more often, i've recently had a lot of questions about that with finer, thinner, hair about the back and just this cut overall. Do you have any that's a good idea um? So i would probably do a lot more like point cutting with scissors. Why do you do that versus a razor um? I, actually i wouldn't say all of it, but perimeters on the hairline, because you're not worried about damaging the hair and making it feel like too thin right. Razor with fit fine hair throughout sometimes can get a little too thin, and then it almost gets like it's. Not it's not workable, it just kind of gets like frizzy. It can get like you're just working with so much less right. You already don't have a ton to deal with you know so, as you can see uh real, quick on the haircut you're just so. That'S basically back to that's going to be her length. You can see the disconnect we colored her last time, right, yeah, so um. This pretty much right here is kind of what she'll be left with out there and we did like it clean around your ears as well right yeah. So then i'll just take this up. So, with the with back to the short hair um, i would just i love doing my hair lines with the razor, so i wouldn't worry too much about razoring it with the hairline um, no matter the texture, okay, it's more of throughout than i might start to, Especially even on the bang area - oh yeah, you might want to scissor cut more and then um like internally within the hair, cutting the layers and stuff like that. You could maybe go through and afterwards to texturize, with the razor after you've scissor cut throughout okay. So less razor with finer thinner, i i would say so: yes, that's just the way i would approach it, but how is there a line that you think if somebody's hair is too fine or too thin? No, not with your short, not like this okay. Uh now would you say not to do the undercut if you have thin hair, i don't think it's going to make a big difference. What i might say is like okay, so if they were in that situation, you might want to leave it a little longer easier. So you have more uh, you can see more density difference, okay, because that'll appear different sure. Does that make sense? Okay, so uh? Those might be little things that you could tailor of someone with fine hair versus someone with. You know a little thicker that you're working on taking out with that figure yeah. We were talking about erin and i were talking about that this morning. We'Re like okay, when you have thick hair, it's like okay, we got ta take out. Yes, some of that hair. A lot of that hair, but with short hairs, actually honestly with like this cut or a cut, even you know, pixie type, or i love the shags that are going on right now, with all different variations of them um. I love it when someone with fine hair is willing to do that, because that just they don't realize they're gon na get so much more volume, and things like that right and i know you've got to like want it. You know it's a little scary yeah. I i might not be signing up for a short pixie right, but with that i'd love to go, i i've had people say hey if your hair style is covered. Just like you got ta film, it yeah. I know i know i i'm that weirdo. You know. I don't change much. You know, i think, being the hairdresser. I should you know, do crazy things, but, okay, so these you were saying, feel long, very long yeah. So i'm going to go ahead and we'll trim some yeah. So, even in the front here, i'm still again as you've noticed i've kind of done the whole perimeter and then now we're going to do again in the bang area. She says she feels very long, so to start off, i'm going to start with more of a point cut because again it just lays a little softer than a blocky line. If you go straight across you're, going to cut just a real heavy line and again with long hair, i'm sorry with thick hair it it creates like weight, they won't be layering, you like crazy yeah, but with you we found two with lightning you so much in The front, if we lighten you too much and then do the razor it gets funky as well yeah, then my um cowlick like separates my bangs, it's kind of weird yeah. Only from the bleach. I know right we're supposed to work together, not apart. So right now. She'S, pretty blunt i'll have her go ahead and just kind of feel that that was just a trim so feel free to tell me more yeah. I could go a little more perfect on the overall length, as you see through the bottom, for all the hairdressers who might be kind of going. That'S there's her line, i'm wanting to not cut it all off, but she did want that pretty like shortened through here. A lot so i'm going to go ahead and do you know an inch on a haircut can be a big difference so yeah, i kind of so we just start there and she doesn't want it to go too short. I always call it it's kind of easy to understand. I think for myself, the headband area, because this is what kind of goes back and she doesn't in her case. She doesn't love to have all of this. So short back here or i'm sorry kind of the difference from the back to the front, so i definitely kind of have to pull that and separate that to keep that you know so to where it doesn't we're not trying to blend that spot today, not today, Right we changed that right right. That is, i have to say that has been consistency. I definitely whether you're longer shorter. You have always liked a little bit more length through there yeah all right. So here in the front i kind of do a lot of like my feeling. I want her to feel like she has length, but not to where we're going to like really thick. I want it to blend. I want it to have a length and a density without being too layered, because then it gets kind of funky because we do highlight her so much there. So this is where i just kind of feel and when she's still a little damp. So if something lays a little if he gets the volume when it's damp, that means it's probably light enough yeah and then we can dry you and always see if we want need a little bit more and on this side here i was cutting and didn't really Explain but uh, you kind of part about right there ish right yeah, so i don't want her to have like woe major layers, but she needs a little bit of something to blend. So this is where these two i might take like you - can see they're slightly different. You just do a little bit of over directing there and again it'll just give a little bit of a lighter weight there. So you can see it just looks like it all. It'S all married, it belongs to the same head, yeah, okay, so here just right in the front, i'm going to grab my little nifty razor a little bit and again, you can see these little ends on her. I can tell when they start getting a little flippy. We never want to flip. So don't don't don't do it there don't do the razor there just a little through here, just to it's more for longevity than just sitting she's textured enough, but it'll help her kind of keep a little bit of that lighter weight. Yeah. This up here we're okay, having that texture, you know, yeah. It makes a difference as it grows out, just not quite as it doesn't feel as long if it's not as thick right. How does this and how does this length feel here? Yeah that's good, and what about in your crown? You know it's like. I have that flat part of my hair there right and your texture is a little different right through there. Okay, it does feel different, you're a little finer through your cowlick okay, which is funny, which is probably why it doesn't believe it right. It'S well you're normal. I'M a lot more basic styler than shirley. She does a really good job. I do use the same ingredient. Yes, enjoy dry wax, yes, so it's a bit of a different we've tried different things, and we do kind of concur that this one. As far as, if you were to do a one ingredient thing yeah, this would be an okay, the one to do the one ingredient with it's crazy. How that violet shampoo like like two washes it just tones it down. It totally does yeah and if i do like about two more it'll be silver. I i was gon na say, but i'm glad because last time when i had toned you, i actually felt like it didn't go as like as cool as i wanted you yeah. So i'm glad that i washed you today, so i saw that it's okay yeah, when i i did. I probably ended up doing two days two two days with the shampoo and the conditioner and yeah it was. It was totally fine yeah. I know my hair is just so stubborn. It looks great. I know you do a great job on her hair. Oh thank you. She it's crazy, though, because it is like um. You know when i first started doing hair like um cool ash tones when you were toning, we're not the jam. You know what i mean like right. You just didn't do that. Nobody wanted that now like so for me, it's kind of how you were just trained, that that was the style so now you're like no leave it on walk away, walk away. I don't touch it, don't touch it! I'M going to leave because i'm going to want to take it off, because it looks like it's okay, but we need to go cooler. This is my beautiful photographer. This is the crew today. Thank you guys.

Angela Hagood: What a wonderful hairdresser! Isn’t it nice to have her take the time to really know your style and listen and not wheel you through like an assembly line? I love that she’s constantly cross checking, cross checking, gauging for evenness...true professionalism! Does everyone feel like we were sitting there with her??? LOVE salon field trips with you!! Looking forward to seeing your new home! Hope the transition was a smooth one!

Kay Downing: I’m due to get my hair cut next week (after 3 months!) and this has really helped me to know how to talk to my stylist about what I’d like. I trust your move is all going well - it’ll be worth the pain in the end!

Lea Fox-England: Wish I could have your stylist cut my hair! She is patient and sweet !

Ric Calendar: Really enjoyed joining you on your visit! Adorable as always. Also loved it without the spikes as she was drying it. God's richest blessings to you in your new home!

This will be added to my collection as I use these every time I cut my hair. I get so many compliments and encouragement. God bless you lovely ladies

Alicia652: After watching this video of your salon visit and watching many other Youtube videos of stylists showing how to cut the pixie style, I decided to give it a try! I did a modified version of the undercut, because I have too many bald spots to do the spiky style like your, and because I was a little scared to go too short for my first try with the clippers. I am very pleased with my results. My hair is not as long as yours on top and in the front, but it still worked out well. Thanks for the tutorial videos and thanks to your stylist for explaining how she cut your hair. Her instructions made it easier to do my own. (Side note: I have been cutting my own hair for about 3 years now, since my hair stylist’s husband was reassigned to Japan. So, this was not the first time to attempt cutting my hair. But it was the first time I have ever used clippers on the back! Thanks for continuing to share and inspire all of us!)

Denise LeBeau: I missed you both believe it or not! I live for your days in the salon. Watching you get your haircut is like meditation. Thank you!

Karen Graff: What a fantastic hairstylist! She cuts beautifully! Love it!

Cindy Cox: Thank you so much Sharalee for your updated pixie cut tutorial. Your cut looks great and your stylist is as awesome as you are. Please thank your videographer too. Looking forward to your next video and have a blessed week.

Barb Shofner: Love the cut as usual. I actually like the way you style it the best, though. I wear my hair in a similar fashion and am having such Gooood results with the "Catwalk" root boost. Thank you for the suggestion. It took me awhile to give up my old product, but I am liking the new one. Keep up the good work. You have many fans!!

Bruce Franklin: I'm just one more saying what everyone is saying. Your cut looks absolutely excellent Sharalee and I wish that I could also go to your stylist. It was great to see the detailed dialogue between you and Kristen, about what you wanted this time and then Kristen explaining to us exactly what she was doing and why.My next cut is over 2 weeks away, but after watching this video, I wish it was tomorrow. Haha

Libby Miller: This was GREAT!! I was just thinking to myself, sure hope Sharalee is on Youtube tonight! LOVE your cut, looks awesome! Jessica Smith: Hello sweet friend! Your hair looks so amazing. Love the way she did the back and sides. Hope your move went well. Can't wait to see your new home. Thank you for sharing your life with us.

MyMy Hart: I sent a pic of your hair cut to my stylist with comment that I wanted to move toward a style similar. Went today...and got it started! It was a little breath-taking, my hair was short but not pixie short, until now. I'm learning how to use the Enjoy product and make spikes/pieces. Came home and grandchildren said "Whoa, MyMy...I like it"... Went to a play tonight and shocked my friends - they loved it. Said it was "adorable", "cute", "looks precious"....but best comment "makes you look so much younger"....SUCCESS! Not stopping with just cut but going with the tips (which I've never done) in a few weeks. I'm 62, grandmother of 5 and I think I'm going to love this. Taking pics to show the 'journey'. Really enjoy watching you.

Jacquie Ankers: I love your hairstyle and follow your tutorials. Last week I went for a haircut and asked the hairdresser for a Pixie haircut / undercut like yours. I'm so happy it's so easy to style my hair using the argon oil and wax. Thank you Sherilee

J. Harrison: Love Kristin's & Earen's willingness to share their time & expertise! Do you have a video that explains how Kristin achieves your highlight color? I'm interested to know if it's blonde, platinum blonde, platinum grey, etc. THANKS for all of your time & effort on these Pixie videos!

Deb Sarley: Honestly Sharalee your stylist is the best! That cut is pure perfection..you can honestly just blow it dry, use your wax and you are done! Beautiful!

Donna Allison: Boy! She's good! I absolutely love that haircut! And I love the highlights in her hair, it's perfect! I want my hair cut like that, but I'm so scared having thin hair now to try it. Right now I have an angled bob. But I want and need more volume up at the top of my head. And it looks sooo easy to work with. I just envy her hair cut and style!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Debbie Sanders: She always does a great job on your hair. Your hair is as pretty as usual. ❤

Martha Marshall: As always, I love it! She does such an amazing job! Sooooooooooooo wish I could wiggle my nose and come to CA so she could cut my hair! Plus, I could meet you in person, my sweet YouTube friend! I thought I caught a glance of your friend in the mirror recording! Lol! Have a blessed week! P.S. Hope your prep and move is coming along!

Kellie Roth: My haircut was inspired by you and I loooove it! I did color blonde, but I'm now embracing my gray and I love it!

Connie Smith-Fries: I love the new changes you made to the back of your hair! I have been lucky enough to find a stylist that can duplicate your style but on my fine hair! I send him your videos and he appreciates that so he knows exactly what I’m talking about. He tells me we can do that, but he’ll use a different technique with my fine hair. Now I just have to get the colorist to get my hair more blonde (our natural color is very similar Sharalee) lol I’ve missed your videos since you’re busy with moving. Hope all is well with you!

Julie Miner: Your stylist is awesome! Really knows her stuff! Your hair turned out great!

Raluca Pislaru: Great undercut, great hair stylist, great you !

T. Marie: Lovely! Thank you for taking us along :)

Silver Forever: Your color is very similar to mine and it looks beautiful! I was curious about the streaks...are they Silver or Platinum? I was very fortunate that my silver steaks are natural...God did them perfectly. Unlike your hair, mine is very fine and thin, so I use a cocktail of volumizng and texturing products to give my hair thickness, body, lift, texture and shine. To achieve the dark root on the top and front I use a Charcoal Grey solid powder called "Joan Rivers Great Hair Day" in "Salt & Pepper" which is the best root filler I've ever used... it's simply the cherry on the cake. The back of my hair has silver streaks mixed with natural Charcoal so no need to use a filler. I cut my own hair...been doing it since I was 14 years old. I never allowed anyone to cut my hair. Only went to a salon to get blond streaks... that's it! As soon as my natural silver streaks came out I stopped going to a salon. I'm sure you get compliments and questions about you hair frequently because it is stunning. I am approached often as well, but no one believes my color combination is natural...very funny. You definitely have to get trims often to maintain the style...I trim every 4 weeks...bangs a bit more frequently as we know different sections grow at different intervals. You are very fortunate to have thick hair. I don't at all but use product and filler which works well but I'm going to order a few of the products you were kind enough to list as I'm always on the look out for products that won't weigh my hair down yet enhance the volume, etc.,...so I'm very careful as to what I use...and I never use conditioner after shampooing. Thanks for sharing videos... they're educational and much appreciated for this "do-it-yourself" gal.

Vicki Crager Smith: Hope all is well with you and yours! So glad to see a Sharalee video!!

debbie kazmark: Thank you Sharalee!! Love your hair style ❤️❤️ love your channel your such a beautiful person inside and out!!!

Sally Knippel: Too fun! Thank you for the last Sunday Song. Have a great move and blessings on your new home! Take your time on restarting Sunday Songs.

Jane Huey: I’ve missed seeing your videos! So excited you’re back. Hope your move went well. Maybe I should fly out to your stylist for a haircut

Marc Layton: Hi Precious Sharalee! Great to see You...missed seeing You...I hope that the move went well...Thank You for taking Us along to Your Hair Stylist...Great style as usual & You have a Fabulous Relationship with Your Stylist!! Look forward to the News on the move & maybe a house tour? Blessings & Love Marc.

spanky3610: For some reason I stopped getting your vids even though I’m a subscriber, and was so happy to see your salon visit video. Your hair always looks so great and thanks to you I discovered the best hair product ever-enjoy dry wax. Love it. Gives my pixie the edgy textured look I like. I don’t have an undercut, but it’s short all around. A hipster do is the way I try and stay young looking, that and converse low tops. I would fit right into your “youth group” at church.

Ursula Harmon: Being a hair stylist I watched her closely she is very good . Your color is beautiful the cool shade of blonde looks good on you.

Jackie Brown: So so cute! Great style and great stylist! ♥️

Christina Wooff: I'm wanting to let my hair grow out a little more. I was wondering how long it is on the top and sides. I like my short at the bottom like yours. Your stylist did a good job.

Diane Phillips: Miss you ! Hope things are going well with your new home !love your hair !!

Linda Newland: Another awesome video that’s both inspiring and entertaining. My grandchildren just love watching with me and so thank you for sharing all of the tips and helping me personally to making the most of what I have. Blessings!

KatyIsHereToStay 4ever: Stunning, so pretty and feminine -- and also hip! She did a great job. And I am digging the incidental music! xoxo

Raquel Welch: WOW adorable...people turn around when you walk by with that cut!!

T Shafa: Found a great stylist! We talked I shared dome pics. She explained that she would have to baseline my current hair with a cut we can build upon to get to the length and style I like. Will be seeing her every 4 weeks. I'm so happy to have found an attentive and understanding Stylist!

Vicki Finger: I have that same crazy hairline except that mine goes even further down my neck! I wear a shaggy pixie and have for 40 years but I like my tail to cover my funky hairline in the back! I enjoyed seeing your process.
