I came up with the pixie last year during the beginning of the pandemic um i made all those for the nursing home which i'm gon na be giving hope fingers crossed sometime in mess to the nursing home sometime in may. So i'm stinking excited about it. All right, so i put 10, i put 10 um pipe cleaners on my pixies. I put five on the outside five on the inside. So if you never saw an eight inch frame, it only has three rings compared to the larger one, the 12 inch or the 15 inch that you can purchase. They have four rings. Okay, so when i talk about the outside rings, i'm talking about that middle ring and the outside ring and when i talk about the inside ring, i'm talking about that middle ring and the inside ring okay. Let'S just move my doodle caddy over there, my pins over there out of the way and we're going to roll all of my mesh meshes out and throw my mesh weight on there get my roller hey liz. Yeah, listen, there's so many different things you can do with mesh. Now this mat, this yellow mesh love. Look at it! Look at the texture on it. Now, i'm all about texture, it's not really a window pane mesh, but it's kind of has the look of a window pane. The squares on it are a little smaller, but really nice yeah that would be an 18 inch, would be a big pixie yup. A pixie is an eight inch frame. Now i started doing them back in um march last march or the end of february, beginning of march um. My dad, if you don't know, is in a nursing, home and um. I wanted you to figure out a way that i could give back to the nurses and the and the aides and all the workers and all the all the residents there. You know because they didn't know what was going on. They didn't understand. So i started making smaller reits for their door because you know it's like um in a nursing home facility or a senior facility or a hospital setting. You know you can't have big over-the-top wreaths, you know or things you know in their room and on their door. Um, so i um decided to make these and i made about. I think i ended up with about 76 wreaths that i'm gon na be giving to the nursing home for the residents. Excuse me for the residents and the staff um. I made them for the physical therapy department. Excuse me: um physical therapy department, the nursing staff, the administration. So i can't wait: hey christina. How are you, oh, my god, you're gon na love, it hey teresa durbin. How are you friends you guys? Please spread the love. I would appreciate it if you did that really trying hard to grow this page back to what it was all right. It'S gon na take a lot of effort and a lot of help from my my great friends here on facebook and on youtube. Okay, so all i'm doing is alternating between three different meshes and there are three different types of mesh: i'm using a value mesh, i'm using a poly jute and i'm using it's kind of like um a window pane. I got to see all my grandkids today and i didn't have to cook a girl. You said that because i, when i talk to you guys, i'm really trying to talk to, if you were my friend for the last 20 years, you know and like we're just hanging out and i'm telling you like from my experience. I don't you know it's not like. I studied this or anything like that. I didn't go to any like wreathing school. You know to learn. I watched videos just like you had some great fabulous coaches. You know that have taught me a lot of great things. So i decided to go, live and do a private uh design group of my own and just basically teach the way that i was taught you know the way i learn and um it's just basic. It'S just down to earth basic knowledge. I don't put on any, you know errors. I don't pretend to be something i'm not. It is what it is and i have some great coaches. Also in my design group i have jojo from jojo's rustic remnants. She goes live every thursday in my private design group. She does the big over-the-top designs out of the box, like literally out of the box ideas um also um. I have teeny mirror from coastal style, etc. She does painting in my design group, she teaches you the basics of strokes and she does flowers faces scenery like so many great things she does and unfortunately, for the past month last 46 days i've been out of facebook. I'Ve missed her lives. I'Ve been able to watch a few from a friend's page, but um i've missed some of her lives and i just love watching her paint so um. My private group has offers a lot offers a lot and i love them. Okay. Why is my comments? Not scrolling? That'S right, everyone has to start somewhere is damon oates up in here, oh jordan, i saw you posted your first. I should post my first wreath that i ever did. Oh, my god, it's god-awful god and i'm sure we've all had these god-awful moments. When we first started, you know we're like what are you thinking we weren't, we didn't know better. You know when you, when you learn more when you know more, you do better. You do more, you know and, like i said, i had some fabulous coaches along the way that taught me a lot not only in business but in design. The magic basement like she comes, she goes down there and comes up with like the craziest stuff, the craziest things. So i really have two amazing coaches in my design group and i'm very lucky to have them. Oh mine was a hot mess too. My first i'm gon na post it you know what. Why not? I did let's do six six um, so she came up with these and then the day she gave them i'll. Never forget. I was in the car driving to louisiana to see um, damon and um. She gave them to us and we when we got home, we started using them and you guys went nuts. You all want to know where we got them, who made them and that's how the perfect tails were born. Well, no, that's not well, it does help using two pipe cleaners, um, so you're not having to pull it through, because you don't want to pull your your um bow down into your mesh. You want it to sit high and tight like the girls, you know what i mean, so i tend to use two pipe cleaners: okay and i twist them together. So my bows sit nice and high okay, you just don't want to pull them. You want it to go through your mesh, okay, because the mesh is going to help your bow sit high. You know you just don't want to pull it tight, so we're using a 10 inch for the tails and again you can get these at burlapoutique.com.
