The Perfect Ponytail For Receding Hair On Women : Hair Braids & Other Styles

Hi I'm T Cooper, I'm in New York, City, makeup artist, hair stylist and co-founder of beauty and grooming company Metro. Look today we're going to talk about the perfect ponytail for a receding. Hairline receding hairlines happen to women as well as men, and sometimes your hairline will start to receive from ponytails that are just really tight in your hair a lot of times, women will just have like just a little bit of receding over there and while you're trying To grow it back in, you, don't want it to show so the what you don't want to do is you don't want to put your hair back in a tight ponytail like this and then expose the receding hairline. What you want to do is one of two things. What you can do is how you see, there's a part in the hair right now you can just brush it down and then I'm going to grab my bungee and what you can do is just smooth it. So that it covers the hairline, you see how you do not see the hairline right here, because she's got long hair. This is kind of how you would want to do it and just have a nice loose ponytail wrap around it with the bungee or a hair tie or whatever it is that you have and then you'd be all set. This is totally cool. You don't see their hairline, it's a nice ponytail, then the other option would be if you had bangs or if you have shorter layers. She'S got super long layers, but if her layers were shorter, she could leave some hair out in front of the ear. Just like this and I've seen some girls with really long layers do this too, and maybe they'll curl it and then they'll put their hair in a ponytail. And since you have this hair covering it right here, you can even go higher like up here. It doesn't have to be a low ponytail, but if you're going to slick it behind your ears, then it needs to be a low ponytail. So you can just gather the hair smooth through the top and just gather a nice loose ponytail and it's a high one. So if you want to do a low one, you can just comb it over and if you want to do a high one, just leave some hair out in the front.
