Hello, you guys I'm Michi owner of headlines by DeFranco salon and pasta, collection, boutique, and today I'm going to be doing a demonstration on a ponytail. It'S almost summertime and ponytails are very popular once the seasons get a bit warmer, so I actually saw this ponytail on Instagram and I really loved it. So I'm going to do a demonstration for you guys today, okay, so of course I have my posh collection bundles. This is a premium yaki, I'm going to be using the 14 inch. I have two bundles out, but I may not use them both, but I just want to have them out just in case, because you still want the ponytail to be full. Of course, I have all my posh collection products. We have our guards for our Clippers. We have our rubber bands, our hair glue, or' curlers and our clipper and liners, and of course you want the simple things like your comb and all that good stuff. So make sure you set everything out before you get started, but what you want to start off doing and actually like parting the hair. However high you want it, because what we're doing is a ponytail on the top and we're going to actually taper down her side. You can taper it down, and so is one so, whether you want it up higher or lower. This all depends on you. I'M going to do her kind of high just want to part the hair off where you're going to be shaping it off. Okay, so I plotted her hair off all the way around, as you can see, and I'm just going to clip the top of her hair. So it won't be in the way, while I'm tapering off her back and the client doesn't have to have a lot of hair for this style that just needed enough hair to cover up the tracks because we'll be doing tracks on the top of her head. Okay, so when you're tapering someone's here, what you want to do is always start with a larger guard, because you don't want to take too much hair off in the beginning. If you start with a larger guard - and it's still too much hair, you can always go back in and use a smaller guard, so I'll be starting off with a half inch guard. And then, if this is taken off, if it's not taken off enough, then I'll go back in with a smaller guard. Okay, so, as you guys can see, we tapered off her hair in the back, and I actually love this lens and it blended in well with her back part that was already tapered down so now to kind of save time. What I'm going to do is move her sides and back down I'm going to put some strips on and then I'll go on the top and start gluing her tracks in if you're, in a salon like if you're working, sometimes you just go ahead and put the Tracks on the top, then you can go back behind it and move the insider' under the dryer. But I'm just going to motor down now put her put her um just right over here. Okay, so you guys I've taped for her sides and back down. So what I'm going to do just to save time is to go in Mooser size and back down, I'm going to put the white strips on and then I'm going to go into the top and start adding her tracks. Another way you can do, it is just to add the tracks first and then, when you're done, you can move her sides and back down and sit under the dryer. You also get a cleaner, smoother paper if you put them right under the dryer immediately after moving them down. I forgot my shrimp amber. We need Sam from Front Street or next door. Don'T the barbecue sauce I'll be right back Whitestrips? Yes, I'm doing a tutorial on my white strips and our banana. I need like four. You tell stage-box like to give me some strips. Thank you, Oh dandy, but Assad okay. So you guys I mentioned to you before that I was going to put the strips on and I was going to put the tracks in while the strip's were on, but I'm afraid the strip's will be and you guys wait of seeing exactly what I'm doing. So. What I did was put her under the dryer with the strips on for about 15 minutes just to get it dry enough to take them off, so I'm going to go ahead and take them off and then we'll start tracking the hair in now. So what you want to do when you're tracking hair in you want to make sure you leave enough room out on the sides, because you don't want to see the track, do not want to see that with on the side. So what you can do is make a thin part on each side just to make sure you don't go past that line and then you can just track in between. But if you're secure with your tracking method, you don't have to do that. You can just I it and just make sure that no tracks will be seen on the side, so I'm going to go in starting from the back and I'm going to put them as close together as possible until I get to the front leaving enough hair out In the front to cover the last track, so again we're going to be using our posh collection. This is the 14 inch premium, Yankee hair. I love this texture because it's very thick, it's not saying you don't need a lot of it and it messes the on clients. Texture perfectly. So I want my ponytail to fit about here, so you don't want to glue any tracks beyond this point. You actually want to start about right here so that it lays flat. If you start too far back, then it's going to leave a hump in the hair. So, wherever you want your ponytail to fit just be sure that you start gluing the track in front of that place, you the producer, okay, so you guys we are all done with our ponytail with the tapered side. This is for people who, like more of an edgy look, some of you can go pretty hard in the comments. So if this is a particular hairstyle that you're not fond of that, fine just take the technique and you can use it towards something else. Like a bun on the top or something else like that, but really the technique is just to show you guys that you can track the hair and that it's very important that you don't show your tracks when you're trekking it here on the top. But again, this is like a ponytail for the summertime for people who, like edgy or hair styles, just type whatever piece of information from this video that you like and apply it to any look that you may do throughout the day. So I hope you enjoyed this video I plan on doing more ponytails as well as braids and and other things like that, but I hope you enjoyed it and I'll see you guys in the next tutorial. So thank you again guys for watching my tutorial. My name is Michi, be sure to follow me on IG at mad about me, cheat as well as follow my boutique posh collection on IG at I love posh collection. I hope you guys enjoyed it, see you next time.
