Hey everybody welcome to another episode of working out with Bob easy. It'S a Wiggy we V Wednesday and a tutorial today, so yeh show you guys how I made my big ass ponytail fall that I wore in my video, where I showed you how Bernadette pins on all her hair and the massiveness. So I made this maybe about eight months ago and I never wore it until the other night, because I didn't really like how I made it so you can see here. I did three three and then two today, I'm going to do it a little differently, because I don't really like the way this is shaped and I'm going to take it apart at some point later down the line and put it back together again. But today I'm going to show you guys brand new, so I'm using the same style of ponytails that I used for this. This is a 27-6 13. They did not have it in a 27-6 13 in that style. So I bought a 14 24, which is a very subtle. Blonde blend looks like this, so you can see they're similar, but this has less depth than this. Does a lot of people asking me how I made that big thing and if I sell them or anything like that, so I decided hey. I kind of want to make two more for Bernadette and I also could probably sell a couple. So I'm going to make two more for her and I'm going to make two more and I'm gon na put them on eBay. This um, the one I'm making today in the tutorial, is one that I'm also going to be putting on eBay as well, and I'm also going to be making a dark one. So, let's get started so what you're going to need to make your ponytail fall is you're going to need ponytails I use eight. I have a massive close to 25 inch circumference head. I have a really really really big fat head, so I need eight of them to give me the height and the volume that I need. If you have a smaller head or you're shorter statured, you probably only need six, possibly even five, depending on the shape and the size of your head so by by eight and then see how many you need and then, if you only need five go buy. Two more and you got you know I use 8 and I'm going to show you guys how I do it with 8, I'm using the sepia collection HP, St in the color of 1424. Today um these Falls are reversible. Not all ponytail falls all reversible. These are so, if you wear them this way, it gives you a nice little flip under with a solid length, but if you flip it the other way they flip out, and it gives you a nice layered effect we're also going to need scissors a needle I'm Using a curved needle today, you don't need to use a curved needle um, but I find it's easier to use a curved needle and it also need thread using brown today, so ponytails are really easily found um I mean I ordered these from a wholesaler, so I Get them for very, very cheap. I know that ponytails, usually retail anywhere between 15 and like $ 50 at the beauty supply or the wig store, depending on the length, the brand, the density color texture. Everything like that, but I do find a lot of times. You can find them in the sale section or the clearance section of the store, especially if they only have a couple in a certain color. I'M doing this all with all the same color pieces, but you can buy three or four different colors. You can make them each a different color. Do whatever you want, make it yours make it yours make a statement you can do. You know you can buy for one color for of another color do three in the front three in the back and then do two one on either side of the middle. You can even cut them in half diagonally. Do whatever you want and piece them together. That way, I'm not getting quite that creative. I'M just sewing them three, two and three and then sewing it together, but you know you can do whatever you want. So my brand comes like this: they come in a little pouch and there they come in a little pouch. They are um, there's little stuffing in them, and everything - and I have a huge pile on my bed here in the corner of all of these, because I opened them all, except for this. One and mine are have a little tack there. So you just kind of pull that tack out toss it on usually they'll come in a hair it, so you want to take the hairnet off and then I usually will also usually be stuffed like that with um things. So what I like to do is I like to just cut the tag off and then I reach on the inside. You can see that's where the tag was you just pull at the knot and it comes right. If there are drawstring ponytail like I have, they will have a drawstring right here. Do is I'm going to take that little elastic and I'm going to snip one side. As you can see, I have one side snipped and then because it's just put through the the foundation of the piece you just gently pull out that elastic now, as you can see, I'm pulling it and I'm keep moving my hand around the piece because I didn't Want it to snap against my hand, because that would be painful. Basically, what that leaves you with is an open, wefted piece like this. You can cut the tags out. You can cut the little combs out if you want. I don't cut them out because I like to leave them there, so I know: what's what um? Basically, what I do is I sew the front three going the normal direction this way and then the bottom ones. I will sew this direction, so I get a nice curve and then a flip, and, as I mentioned in my video before I didn't tease this at all, this is all just a carpet of hair. This does not have any teasing already back combing and it barely has any hairspray in it at all. I hairspray at the top just a little tiny bit to get it out of my face, but besides that, there's no product or teasing in this at all. I like to make it about, as far as my arm will reach a good way to figure that out is when you're unraveling your thread hold the end of the thread on one hand, take this bowl in the other stretch, your arms all the way out once And then grab the thread where it where you left off here and then stretch it out from hold it at your shoulder and stretch out your arm once more. Don'T do it twice like this, because you're going to end up with a crop ton of thread and if you do it once and then shoulder it'll, be the perfect length for you to reach up perfectly and then come back in people. Tell me all the time that I use too much thread when I sew and I tell them suck it so. Hmm, I put my camera down a little bit as you can see. I'M sitting on my bed with my Broadway back where its musical celebration shirt on today, because my table isn't clean and I didn't feel like cleaning it off. While I made this video, nobody got to have put it so you're going to take your first two pieces. So, as you see, they are the same piece and um you can sew them together. I like to do them edge to edge first, and I like to make my throws and then sew my rows together. You can do whatever you want, so you're going to want to take your two pieces and you're going to want to line up the corners of them. As you can see here, I have them lined up and then um, I'm gon na do my standard stitch, which I always thought was called a job like a traveling stitch or a train stitch, but my good friend Rio and a hanger how you doing we need To go see kinky boots. When are we going to do that? I don't know. Oh, she told me that this is called a blanket stitch, so what you're going to want to do is you're going to want to knot your thread under your under your pieces and you're going to want to go through the foundation of the pieces like that, and Then see how my thread is on this side right now, if you put your thread over to the other side and have your needle go through the pieces of thread, it will not down at the base, and so again, I'm going to do the same thing again. Going to take it going to put the needle through the middle of my two sides of thread and you pull it as you can see here, it is creating a traveling, not stitch aka the blanket stitch why it's called the blanket stitch. I am not entirely sure I realized, like I am NOT doing this in frame at all, so just keep going up sewing it together and then I'm about to reach that top corner. These can be a little tricky, sometimes because they're usually not a perfect square. Usually the corners are rounded and it can make it a little awkward to try to figure out where you should stop sewing. But if you look at them, you can see that they come in a little bit. So I'm going to stop sewing right here. Where that, where that corner edge is so then, while I'm at the top, I'm going to go over and do like three or four just in one place just to tighten that off and then I'm going to go back down along the same side that I already Did I've reached the end of this piece, so I'm going to tie it off. Basically, I just tie them off by doing a stitch in the same place over and over and over and over again, and that's how I tie them all you want to take your schizos and título, so these are going to be the middle portion of my piece And I'm going to put a three and three on the top and on the bottom so rather than having you guys watch me so all of those pieces together, I'm actually going to cut and I'm going to come back. When I have my three panels done and then I'll show you guys how I whip stitch them together, so I'm back, I was watching to Bette Midler on YouTube. I had a customer come over, it's great sew them all together. So I have two that are three pieces and one that is two-piece. I made sure that they're going in the same direction, so that's why I didn't cut the tags out. Oh you wanted. What you want to do. Is you want to figure out what you're doing with that? So these Falls are reversible, um not all Falls are, but I'm sure that they would look different if you put them upside down. So you know if even if it says it's not reversible, you know you can put it on reverse. You can put it on sideways like that, if you want it to flip off your face or this way, if you wanted to flip in, like a crazy, you know whatever you can easily customize the way. These things look by turning them different ways: I'm just going to be a basic [, __ ], and I'm going to put one two three on top two in the middle and then three on the bottom, and then I'm going to stitch that all together. Just so that I get a nice solid volume on top of that flip. On the end, I take my two piece and I'm going to turn it upside down so that it has this nice flip and what I'm going to do is I'm going to sew them together, like that, I'm going to hold them together and you're going to see Where the combs on the two-piece line up with the seams on the three-piece and that's where you want to sew them together, you're also going to notice it's going to be a kind of a weird shape when you get into doing that, because you're going to have A seam against solid, it's going to be kind of weird, but just make sure that you get the corner where the three of them meet really really really good. That'S where you should always finish or not start the outside and go in and finish your knots in the joint and I'm going to do that and I'm going to show you guys in a second okay. So, as you can see, I have now stitched it together. I didn't stitch it all the way together on these corner pieces right here, because what I'm going to do after it's all sewn together is I'm going to fold these edges in and sew it. So you need to leave a little bit of mobility there so that you can easily contour it later. I'M going to sew the third row now again upside down right there. Now you can see that they are the eight of them sewn together, and I also still have my thread attached. Basically now what you're going to do is you're going to turn it like this to its side and you're going to fold these two ends together. You'Re going to stitch them together exactly the same way. You stitched them together over here so you're, going to make your corner and you're going to sew down. Okay, so see now. What I'm doing is I'm going to sew that edges together already did this side, as you can see here, it's sewn together and this side is not again. This is the front of the wig here these three pieces across the top one two three and then this is the other side. So now you're going to sew it together, you're going to make a round eight and you're doing it inside out and then you'll turn it right-side out and it'll be fine. It'S just some so much easier to sew when you sew inside out a lot of times. What I'll do is I will to get this started? I will fold it and you can see this is the middle bottom top so I'll take the bottom of the top like this and I'll tie that off as my knot. So you can see here that the middle section is still free, but the bottom and the top portions are latched. Then what you're going to do is you're going to take that and you're going to you're going to look stitch it to the middle of this piece. Right here, the three pieces in the front and the three pieces in the back are coming together like this, with the two pieces in the top. So you want to make it this kind of shape. Do a couple stitches to hold it in place and then stitch down each side and back so I just find that if you do it twice, it makes it much sturdier you so now I have them all sewn together and it's like a little hat. So then, what you want to do is just want to turn it inside out and then you have a crops out of hair. I wear mine over a bump. You don't have to you, can wear it on your head as a regular wig, once you figure out what is the front and what is the back? So, as you can see, this is just a craps on a hair. You can wear it over a bump. You can just wear it's flat on your head, like I have it right now, and it is a little loose up here, as you can see, there's a lot of space but um. I would wear it over about personally but yeah. So that's how you make a ponytail leg. Um! You also can tease them. You can add a rooted front root it all the way around. If you want, doesn't really matter what you want to do with it um. I I like to wear them as a fall. So I wear them back here and I wear them over a bump, so I don't even really style mine. I just let them flow like this, because I like the fact that they move so, but you can always you know you can tease them really big. You can put you, can um, tease it really big and leave it long. Do it ever you want. My hair is great, so I have two of these girls done. This is all I'm putting up on eBay right now, just one of each. This is the 14 24 and this is a 4 30 um. You can't really see the highlights in it, but it's gorgeous. It'S like a dark brown with some Auburn in it, and this one's just a very nice golden blonde they're, both going to be up for auction on eBay, my eBay Shop link is down below and you'll, be able to tell which part is the back, because I Sewed, a little yellow bow in the back center piece of each of these. It'S not quite at the bottom, because I didn't want it to show if you wore it backwards, but it's right there, and I also did this, so you could so you could figure out which way you could wear it, because there you can wear it this way And you'll have a lot of flip on the bottom and a little body on the top. You can flip it around and wear the back and the front and you'll have a lot of body and a little bit of flip, and you can always also wear it. Sideways - and you know you can have that blow off your face and you can have the back flick or you can wear it opposite. The other way you can wear them over a bump. You can wear them flat on your head. You can wear them with a bump on your head, you can wear them like I do with the lace front and then a bump and then the wig on top. You know layering stacking, all of that. Yes, these two girls will be up for auction in my eBay shop. The link is in the box. So please subscribe comment check me out. Email me follow me on Instagram and Twitter and, like my Facebook page and all of those fun things and I'll see you guys next week, thanks for watching have a good one.
