Hello, My name is Anya And I'd like to show you how to turn your old cosplay ponytail wigs And improve them and turn them into Very tall giant big ponytails And swing them around and hit people *laughs*. I'M going to show you how to do this. With my Schwarz wig, And this tutorial was inspired from Saya Costumes and Kinpatsu Cosplay, So please check out their videos. The EVA foam, I'm using is about 5 millimetres thick and it's six inches by 3.5-4 inches. The 4 inches is how tall i want my ponytail to be Next just cut out the foam with a pair of scissors or some razor blades Using a heat gun just heat both sides of the EVA foam on low setting. This will heat seal the foam and also you can form the shape, a lot better To glue the EVA foam together, I'm using premium contact adhesive. You can also use hot glue for this method and just paste it on both sides. It doesn't have to be clean, since you won't be able to see it anyway, Just clean up the sides and let it dry for about five minutes Until it becomes a bit tacky After the glue is tacky just stick the sides together, I used the top of My thumb to make sure that the sides line up properly Using the tube, just trace out a circle with a pen. This will cover the opening of the tube. Then just cut out the circle. With a pair of scissors, I put the circle inside the tube just to make sure it fits Using the premium contact adhesive again glue around the inside of the tube. Then do the same thing to the circle and wait about five minutes Until both of them become tacky After five minutes. Just stick the circle inside the tube Taking your Flexbond., I accidentally spilled some. Prime, the EVA foam with the Flexbond. It'S recommended to do 3. Layers of the Flexbond after each layer dries Next paint the base. With the same color of the wig. I mix both acrylic black and white, to get a grey light, white colour And just paint it all over. The base Make sure to paint the underside of the tube as well, Because that can be seen through the wig After you're done just let it dry for, I think, about 1 to 2 hours. So I accidentally made my base too dark, But you should be able to do a better job than I did Using the ponytail clip make indents into the foam tube thing Then use a pen or pencil and push through the holes that you just created The holes On the tube will help the ponytail clip to clip on more securely Using a pen or pencil make a hole on the top and the bottom of the tube. Taking my Worbla sheet, I'm measuring 1 inch or 2.5 centimetre strips. Then I measured out 2 pieces of 4 inch and 1 piece of 2 inch strips Then take your pair of scissors and cut out your Worbla strips So now I have the base for my ponytail Using the heat gun on the lowest setting heat up. The two strips and make sure that they stick together When the Worbla is heated up, it can stick to itself Taking the 2 inch strip just cut it in half. I didn't want to waste the other strip. I got these 2 nails from the toolbox downstairs. I heated up the Worbla and then wrapped it around the bottom of the screw To be stuck onto the wobble cross. I made sure to push it into the cross and squeeze the Worbla around the nail Then doing the same thing with the second nail. This nail will be stuck on towards the bottom of the cross. Before I stuck the second nail on, I marked out the position with my pen. Then I heated up the second nail again and then stuck it in the position. The Worbla should be pretty warm at this point, So I stuck it towards the back of my mannequin and waited for it to cool down and form its shape After the Worbla has cooled down. It should look something like this To make sure it fits just slide. The foam onto the nail - And this is how the ponytail looks without the base wig, To prevent my wig from slipping and falling off my head since the ponytail is pretty heavy. I decided to sew 2 wig clips under the front of my wig To insert the base through my main wig, I used a seam ripper and ripped out the middle part of the wig. This is how the wig looks with the nail sticking out. The ponytail was slightly too heavy, so I used some scissors and layered the ponytail To put the ponytail on my wig. I just inserted the ponytail into the nails And this is the finished ponytail. Here'S a comparison between the regular ponytail clip versus the new and modified one. It looks a lot taller and bigger. I also use this method for my Takao wig and you can see the difference a lot better. I really encourage you to do this with all your cosplay ponytail wigs, Because it looks so good. I really hope you enjoyed this cosplay wig tutorial. Let me know what you think in the comments below I'll see you next time. Bye, bye, you
