Hey y'all It's Kira and welcome back to my channel As Told By Kira. If you're new here, like I said my name, is Kira so welcomeee.. I noticed I have a few new subscribers since we're all in quarantine.. I guess y'all are bored so welcome to my channel.. I do hair makeup and beauty videos and I also do art videos on occasion.. Today'S video is all about how I get this slick ponytail on my hair, using products from Miss Jessie's.. They sent me the Curly Buttercream, the Curly Pudding, the Leave-in Condish and the Hold me Down edge control & I used all of those products today to get my ponytail.. I know we're all inside now because of the quarantine & most of us. Don'T really have a place to go, but I figured this would be a great hairstyle if it was your birthday & you wanted to do a little quarantine, birthday shoot or if you were gon na, go on a little quarantine date, but yeah y'all. If you want to see how I got this ponytail using miss Jessie's products, then keep watching Alright y'all. I am starting on extremely dry hair.. I washed my hair the other day, but I didn't put much product in afterward, so my hair is a bit dry, but I'm gon na go ahead and go in with some water just to add some hydration back into my hair and then I'm going in with Miss Jessie's leave in condish.. This is the leave-in conditioner from miss Jessie's line & this product is super nostalgic.. It kinda reminds me of the seashell soaps in my grandmother's bathroom in South Carolina.. It has a really nice clean smell that I love. Next, I'm gon na go in with a curling cream was sent 2 curling cremes from Miss Jessie's, the Curly Pudding curling creme & the Curly Buttercream curling creme & I decided to go with Curly Buttercream today, just Because it has a little bit of mint in it & I felt like it would be great for my scalp health, I been focusing a lot on scalp, health. & because I'm going to be using this as kinda a barrier between the gel on my hair. I thought this would be the perfect product to use.. Another great thing about both the curly buttercream and the curly pudding Is that they actually both pair really well with gels. some curling products when paired with gels, kinda create a white cast or weird build-up. But this blended perfectly with the hair gel & I just used the standard alcohol-free hair gel.. So I went all around my hair section by section little by little, just adding the curly buttercream the water and a little bit of hair gel just to keep my hair down.. I felt like this was THE perfect combination for a slick back ponytail.. My hair definitely feels hydrated & its a couple of days later.. Next, I'm just gon na go in and create a middle part.. I decided to do a middle part which I never do.. It was kinda a risk for me, but I decided to just try it out. And I actually really liked it.. Once I got my hair totally slicked down, I went over all of that with the Hold Me Down edge control from Miss Jessie's.. Now this Edge control is the truth.. It'S so good. It works really great on my hair & it really does create kinda a barrier and a shine to hold my hair all the way down.. I definitely do recommend, even when you use hair gels, to ALSO use an edge pomade on top of your hair, because it'll catch any flyaways. You might have.. So while I wait for that to dry, I'm just gon na go in with the leave-in conditioner. & my spray bottle & my brush & just detangle & braid up the back puff of my hair.. This is just gon na make sure my hair is totally protected, while its in the protective style., It's gon na, make sure its detangled. & its just gon na make sure my hair comes out of this style, super hydrated and with moisture, locked in. Yeah. I was feeling myself a lil bit. I was feeling like Sade, but baldheaded, but anyway, I'm just going ahead and twisting my braids into a bun, and that also is a great tip for thick-haired girls. If you want to put your hair in a protective style. Now, for my favorite part, probably is hair accessories, I'm going in with my pearl & little rhinestone hair clips & I really love them so much. I feel, like they add a lot of personality to this style. So now for the final part of this style, the actual ponytail I'm going in with a half wig that I actually made a year ago when I was planning on going to Miami., I did go To Miami my hair did not do so great with the leave out that was left out, but I do feel like it is perfect for this ponytail. I'm going in with this center clip & putting it at the top of this bun.. Then I'm just gon na kinda wrap the wig around the rest of my bun & secure the clips as close to my bun as possible., to just make sure that they're hidden. YOu kinda, have to finesse it because this isn't supposed to be used as a ponytail. But you can definitely make it work, as I did here. Alright y'all, that is it for this video.. Thank you so much for watching.. If you like this video, and you want to sen more videos like it, please make sure that you like comment & subscribe down. Below., Let me know if you ever tried Miss Jessie's products & if you have what your favorite product from them is. but yeah y'all. Thank you so much for watching &. I will see you in my next one. Bye.
