Hi I'm Mari Murphy with Escada, hair and beauty spa in Norwood Massachusetts. I'M going to show you today how to put a ponytail in your hair without leaving a line afterwards once you pull it out, so, what's very important! First of all, is you want to start with dry hair? You don't want to put it in wet hair, because it most likely will leave a line if you do it with wet hair. So first thing you want to do is brush all the hair back brush. It back nice and smooth and with a rat tail comb, you want to section out one whole bottom section of the hair so right across the bottom of the hair like that and pull this back nice and smooth. Now you want to take the bottom section and get this nice and smooth, and you want to use this as the elastic that's going to hold the hair into a ponytail, so you want to wrap it right around the top section. Just like you would, if you are capping a ponytail by using the natural hair, it doesn't bend the hair when you put it into a ponytail and you don't get a line when you pull it out. So with this tail, underneath you want to secure it with bobby pins. You want to push the pin down spin it around and then push it into the ponytail, and do it again with another bobby, pin push it down spin it around into the ponytail. If you have any leftover hair underneath, you can either smooth it down and blend it in with the hair, or you can take it with the rat tail comb and tuck it inside.
