How To: Curly Ponytail Extensions

Hi everyone welcome back to the lexi here channel. My name is estianna and today's video i'm so excited to share with you, flexi hair, just launched clip in curly ponytails, which i'm wearing right now. Today'S video i'm gon na share two different ways to wear it. It'S super easy super fun, so let's get started so right now. My hair is really greasy and oily it's on like day three hair, which is actually perfect, because you don't need fresh, clean hair to wear the curly ponytail okay. So this is the luxie hair clip in curly ponytail this one's in the shade chocolate brown, which is my perfect match, but the curly ponytail comes in 20 different shades in the description box below you can check out your shade and also, if you need help finding Your perfect match in your color shade more information linked down below there, but this curly ponytail is made of real remy human hair. It'S 20 inches long, but with the curl pattern it actually makes it about 18 inches long, but the actual hair itself is 20 inches. Long, it's also 120 grams, so it just adds the perfect amount of fullness and length to your ponytail, but it doesn't feel super heavy and it doesn't weigh down your head. So it comes in the beautiful little pink luxy hair box, and you can store it in here to keep it safe. It also comes in with two very sturdy bobby pins, which you're going to need later on i'll. Give you a closer look. So this is what the clip in part looks like, and this part is going to wrap around i'll. Show you how it works in a few also comes with this grip, which you're also going to need when you first get your ponytail. What i like to do is sort of just loosen up the curls and give it a little bit of volume, because it's in the box it kind of compacts itself. So what you want to do is take your fingers and kind of just go like this and you're just going to shake and loosen up the curls a few seconds and then it's ready to install so let's get started, be sure to stick around to the end, Because i'm going to share some answers to some common questions, share some specs and all about the curly ponytail. If you want to know more about it, let's jump in all you're going to need is an elastic, and today i'm using the gravity defying lexi here elastics. These are super gentle on your hair, and it also gives your ponytail extra lift so you're never going to get like a sagging ponytail. I'M also going for a sleek look in the front because i don't have naturally curly hair. I don't really have you know, face framing pieces that i could leave out. So if you do have naturally curly hair feel free to leave your bangs out or you could curl your bangs. So you can kind of match the texture. But today i'm just going to stick with a nice sleek back simple look so everything's pulled back and then there's lots of drama in the back going on, and to do that, i usually like to use my boar bristle brush. So i get a really sleek and smooth looking front, no flyaways, i'm just gon na brush everything back and fun fact. Actually, my mom has naturally very curly hair, so her hair would match the texture of this ponytail. But i got my dad's more straight wavy hair. I don't have her curls, i'm just going to gather everything up into a high ponytail. You can choose the height you want. I like using a hairspray. This one is from orbe. I think that's how you pronounce it. It'S the super fine hairspray, one of my favorites again. If you have super greasy hair like i do right now, it's all part of the look, so you don't have to worry about that so, depending on what your natural hair texture is, depends on this next step. So if you have naturally curly hair, then you can go ahead and skip this next step and just move into installing the ponytail, because the curly ponytail will just blend and add to your existing curls. But if you're like me and don't have naturally curly hair. If you have straight hair or just slightly wavy hair you're, going to have to do this next step, which is really quick and easy, and that's just braiding this ponytail, so that it kind of hides it and it's going to be surrounded and concealed by the curly. Ponytail, so i'm just going to do a simple three strand: braid you'll want to do your braid as far down as possible, so there are no sort of straight wispy parts at the bottom sticking out, just keep it all tight and together, i don't know, what's going Around here just random ends sticking out. I will secure that with an elastic there. We go okay. Now we are ready to install the curly ponytail. So what i'm going to do is take this grip here, i'm just going to insert it into the top of my elastic under, so it has a little hold. Then i'm going to wrap the velcro around, so it secures i'll. Show you how it's done. Okay, the velcro has met it's secure, i'm just going to take this wrapping part and just wrap it tightly around the base of the ponytail to conceal everything and for the final step, i'm just going to secure the ends with the two bobby pins that it comes With and that's it okay, that's it for the high ponytail. Look, it's so easy and fast to install, and i just love how it looks such a great way to change up your look, especially if you don't have naturally curly hair and if you already have naturally curly hair. This just adds so much extra volume and length, and it really just fills out your ponytail, let's get into the low ponytail version, which i think looks so chic and it's also so easy. Okay same thing for the low ponytail, i'm gon na go with just like a sleek pulled back everything, chic type low ponytail. But again, if you'd like to leave some face streaming, pieces out or bangs feel free to do that. Okay, then again, if you have not naturally curly hair, like me, you're just going to braid your ponytail all the way to the bottom and secure with a tiny elastic, okay and then you're just going to take your clip in ponytail you're going to slide in this Little uh clip part into the top part of your elastic you're, just going to slide it at the top and underneath so it's secure and wrap so that the velcro meets, and we are left with this piece just to wrap around then you're. Just going to take your two bobby pins and secure okay, so that's it! I instantly have a beautiful curly long ponytail! I love both looks so much again. This one is in my shade chocolate brown, but the curly ponytail comes in 20 different shades. Again, it's 20 inches long, so easy to apply hassle free. I just want to share some quick fyis and some tips for keeping your ponytail in the best condition as possible. So, unlike other types of extensions from lexi hair, you want to try to avoid using any products and washing and using shampoo or conditioner on your curly ponytail. If you wash it and use lots of heavy products on it eventually over time, the curl pattern will slowly start to lose that shape. So you want to avoid that, don't wash it, we also don't recommend using hot tools or a hair dryer on your curly ponytail. You don't need to anyway. The curls are already like, so beautiful. It'S just like ready to go and done you don't really have to do your hair at all, so avoid using straighteners, curling, irons, hot tools, that's also going to make the curls lose its shape over time and damage the curls and, lastly, also avoid bleaching or dyeing Your hair, or do so with discretion dyeing your curly ponytail, will also cause the the waves to loosen and lose their shape over time.
