Sleek Ponytail Extension On Relaxed Hair| Bellami Extensions

So hi guys welcome back to my channel if you guys are new what is up sugar nicole aka lil nck, and i am back with another video in today's video, i'm gon na be showing you my infamous sleek ponytail, that everybody is loving right now. Okay, since i made my story time video my last video on my hair journey, i have been getting so many requests on my snap on my instagram to show you how it is that i get my infamous ponytail on my relaxed hair. So that's what i'm going to show you in this video. This takes about 10 minutes to do it's really, quick, really simple. If this was on my natural curly hair, which is 3c3b, it would definitely take me more than 10 minutes and there would be a lot more steps, but because i am a relaxed gal, you know what i'm saying it doesn't really take that long at all. It takes about 10 minutes and i'm literally out the door. This whole look takes about 20 minutes with the makeup which i did film, my no foundation makeup. Look so that'll, be my next video so make sure you're on the lookout for that, but yeah. This whole look takes about 20 minutes and the hair takes about 10 minutes so yeah. I wanted to jump on camera and show you how i did it. This is a hairstyle that i love to do all the time. I love to do it when i'm in a rush i like doing it with my hair, is greasy. I like doing it when my hair needs a relaxer like it does. Now it's been about six weeks since i had a relaxer, so i need to do one, and this is a hairstyle that i used to do all the time when i was in uni all the time when i didn't know what i wanted to do with my Curly hair, obviously my hair's not curly anymore, but when i had curly hair, this is a style that i loved doing for days. I just didn't want to do my hair and now that my hair is relaxed, it obviously looks different, so yeah, i'm going to show you how it is that i make my hair go from this to this. So first thing is: first i'm going to take my schwarzkopf schwarzkopf schwarz got to be glued um spiking wax. I'M going to go ahead and take this, and i'm gon na use this to kind of lay my edges down, because i don't know if you guys can see your girl is in need of a relaxer okay, it's been about six weeks since my last one and I'M in need of a relaxer. I haven't washed my hair because there's absolutely like no point knowing that i'm gon na beg my mum to relax my hair for me today if she can um so yeah. There'S just no point in me washing my hair right now. I'M not gon na lie, so if you see like any flesh makes any white stuff, if you see anything, don't be alarmed, i know it's there. Okay, i know it's there. That'S all that we need to say about it. So yeah i'm gon na take my spiked wax and i'm just gon na kind of lay my edges. I like using this because it's not as hard as the got to be glue like the glue itself. It gives me the hold i need it puts my hair in place and yeah like it. Just i just i don't mind it like when it comes to my edges and stuff. I use different things like i use a bunch of different things. I do have a video on my hair products that i use for relaxed hair, some of the products that i'm using like, for example, my got to be glued spiking wax is new, so that won't be in that video specifically, but i really like it like. I enjoy using it so now that i've kind of applied that to my head, i'm going to go ahead and take a brush like this, a bristle brush just a round one and get this off amazon. You can get in your beauty supply store, but i'm going to go ahead and i'm going to take this type of brush to really we'll come back and do the edges properly after, but i just put that there just to help it glide. You know what i mean, but i'm just going to take this brush and i'm going to really smooth my hair down with it, because my hair is relaxed and it is straight. It is going to be a lot easier for me to do this compared to like my hair was curly and stuff, because you know i'd have to use water and a lot of products, but with this you don't need to do that so once i've slicked, my Hair back, you want to kind of like establish where you want your hair to be i'm going to wear my hair in a middle part, but obviously on your own head you're, going to this time. If you want it to be in a side. Part middle part like youtube where you want it to be, i mean i'm going to do a middle part today. So once you've smoothed out your hair and you are happy with it. You'Re gon na go ahead and take a little bit more of your wax. Not a lot, you really don't need a lot and you're just gon na kind of place it in the areas that you feel like you need it just to give you that extra grip. For me, it's my sides because they were a bit shorter. So i would just apply a little bit more to the sides just to help it stay slick so that you know throughout the day. It'S not just coming out the ponytail and stuff like that, so i would apply a little bit more there. I'M then going to take a hair band. Please get one that does not have a metal clip, get one that does not have a metal clip on it. Please because the metal pieces in the hairband are going to snag your hair and break it so try and avoid that, if possible, you can get loads of these off amazon like if you just type in hair bands, you can get loads of hair bands without the Metal grip for like four pounds - and you get like 20 of them and stuff like that, so yeah just avoid the metal glue so once you've done that your hair should look like this really simple, really easy! I'M going to go ahead and take a little bit more of my styling wax, because i like to do my edges right after i've put my hair down, because then it gives me an idea of how it's gon na look overall just work in a motion that Makes sense to you like, if you feel like doing your edges first before even sticking your hair down is the way you want to do it then go for it. If you feel like doing your edges last, once you've done, the ponytail attachment go for it. Like there's, no right or wrong way, do what works for you? Definitely let me know - and i would do that because my hair is growing really fast and my hair is not going to be medium by february. I don't think it's going to be a bit longer than medium. So while my hair is still kind of short, if you want to see videos on how i would style my hair, then let me know - and your girl can do that - okay - and this is what we are looking like so far, okay. So this is what my hair is looking like. So far as you can see, it's really sleek and everything is just looking right. Okay, so now that we've basically got the anchor for our ponytail we're gon na go ahead and take some extensions. This one is from bellamy, hair bellamy, hair extensions i'll have a link to it down below really affordable. I think i got this for like 25 pounds. It came within three to four days of me ordering it like. It came really quick and i love that absolutely love it, but yeah i'm going to take my bellamy, hair extensions. As you guys can see, it's got a clip right here right in the front that you hook onto your ponytail and then it's got the netting at the back here and you've got your little attachment. This basically wraps around the hair like that, and then you secure it like that. So it's really simple really easy. I'M going to take my bristle brush and i'm just going to kind of brush her through just so. She doesn't look so raggedy. Usually i would prep the hair like i would prep it if i'm gon na do this style and how i would do that is, i would apply some oil to the hair bundle or to the extension, and then i would take my blow dryer my revlon blow. Dryer, you know the one that i use for my natural hair when my hair is wet, i would take that blow dryer and i would blow dry the oil into the hair, and that makes it look brand new. It makes it look really silky, really really really silky really nice, and it just helps to match my hair texture a little bit more yeah. If i'm really going out like, if i'm going out somewhere, i will tame the hair, but for the sake of the video i'm not gon na. Do that because i'm staying in my house and this video needs to go up today for eight o'clock. So i haven't got time, okay, so now that i have brushed her out and i'm happy with how she looks happy with how she feels i'm gon na go ahead and attach it to my hair. So let me show you how all right so, like i said, you've got a clip in the center of the hair. What you want to do is you want to place the clip right in the middle of your hair. So it's just hanging like this notice. How i haven't done anything, i've just placed it there, so you want to place it there, preferably like what i like to do. Is i like to try and get it in between the hair bands as well, because then the hair bands act as an anchor. So once you put the clip in the hair band like say, this is a clip once you put the clip in the hairband like this, it's actually not going to go anywhere. If you try to put it on your hair, because your hair is silky, there is that slight chance that it could slide and stuff while you're wrapping it around so try and get it in the hairband. If you can i've positioned mine, exactly where i want it to go, because i'm wearing my hair down the middle. Like this, i position my hair in the middle, like the clip in the middle of my hair. If i'm going to wear my hair to the side like if i know that i'm going to be bringing my hair like this, you have to position the clip slightly more to the opposite side. Because what happens is then, if you guys can see you can see my natural hair chilling right here, like my hair, is just chilling like hello and it's just chilling, so you've got a kind of position, the extension in a way. This is something that took me. A long time to get, but you have to position the extension in a way on your head, where, once you wrap the hair around like that, there's no way your hair is going to poke through, like you just have to play around with it like it's really Hard for me to explain it because guys when i first did this style, i was struggling for a very long time like. Why is my hair peeking through, but you have to position it in a way where say if you want your hair on this side, ideally you'd want to position the extension in the middle, but because your hair is going to be coming this side, you want to Kind of position it a little bit more to the sides. You want your hair to lean on so that when you do wrap the hair, the fullness is at the front, so it covers your natural hair in the back. If you know what i mean, so you just got ta play around with it. I'M telling you guys, like this style, is not as easy as it looks. Okay, i watched so many damn videos of people showing how the hell they did this style and when i came to do it that wasn't the case for me like it didn't come out the same way. It took me a lot of trial and error, but you just got ta keep practicing until you get and eventually you will. I promise, like you, will get it and when you get it you're going to look fire. So what you want to do is the little flap that you have back here. You want to kind of wrap it around at the base of your ponytail at the back and then, as you guys, can see on this side. You'Ve got this other piece of hair that has the velcro velcro, strap to it. This side that you wrap at the back of your head. You want to connect it to this, so you want to bring this side to the back of your head as well like that and make sure you squeeze it like make sure you pull it. So it's nice and tight and automatically it should connect, because it's velcro. So it should attach itself automatically and then once you've brought this side of the hair to the opposite side, so it went from here to here. All you need to do now is just wrap and smooth. So, as you can see, i'm smoothing my hair down like this. While i'm wrapping it around and each time i wrap it, i'm pulling okay each time i wrap. I pull because i want this hair to be secure to where i don't need to be adding. 50. 000 bobby pins to it or hair grips to it just to get it to lay flat okay, so you want to smooth and you want to pull so let me try and sit the opposite way, so i can show you i don't know how that's going to Look but let me try, i've got my ponytail here and i've got this side, so i'm putting it and then i'm wrapping it underneath like this and then pull in so it's creating a nice little seamless blend. Then you want to wrap it again. Just like that, then you want to pull so it's nice and tight like that, that you want to wrap it again, pull okay, so once you have wrapped and smooth the hair all around your head, you'll know if it's smooth, because you'll be able to feel it. I'M going to take a little bit of my got to be styling wax and i'm just going to place it on the very end of the hair. Because, what's going to happen is if i just pin it in place, it could become frizzy. So i'm just going to apply some of the styling wax just to the very end of that section, just to make sure it's nice and seamless, and it's not going to go nowhere. So once you've done that, then you want to go ahead and grab some bobby pins or hair grips whatever you want to put in, and you want to just pin the hair in place and once you pin it, it should be secure like it should be. Very secure and then you could bring your hair to the side, which is where i love wearing it. You can bring it to the middle. You can bring it to this side, because i've positioned my hair in the middle of my head. I can pretty much flip. It to either side, but i like wearing it on this side, because i have a tattoo here so yeah i just like wearing it on this side, but this is basically how it should look very simple, very, very easy. I'M gon na go back in with my styling wax just to fix any areas that i feel like it, because, obviously, while you're like tugging on your hair and stuff, you could actually disrupt the main part of your ponytail. So go ahead and smooth that and then, of course, if you need to grab yourself some bobby pins and just pin it at the back as well try and get ones that match the color of your hair as well, if possible, because then that way, obviously, like You'Re not going to be able to see them, so that's what i do i'll try and get ones that match. Okay, now to finish up everything, i'm gon na take some got to be glued hairspray, i'm not gon na spray too much because, like i said, i need a relaxer and i'm getting it today, but you just want to spray a little bit just to keep everything In place what you can do is you can spray the base of your ponytail so that, like, if you're going out on a night out - and you really don't need to go anywhere - you can spray the base of it. This little wrappy thing that you've done just to make sure it's nice and right down my neck. You can spray it so it locks in like that, and it won't go anywhere like it's not gon na go anywhere, and that is it. That is it for this hairstyle super easy super simple, so yeah, i'm gon na go ahead and put some accessories on, and then we will close up this one. This is the end of the look. You guys really simple, really easy. It comes together. I love doing this style, like i love doing this style so much. I love doing it in the summer when it's too hot and you just don't want too much hair on your shoulders, but you still look somewhat, but together you still look cute. I love doing this style when i'm in a rush. My hair is really greasy, it's really dirty, but i haven't got time to wash it and i don't want to straighten it. For that reason, i just love this style like even when i'm chilling at home. I will randomly do this style. Like i love doing this style, nothing beats a classic sleek ponytail, like nothing, actually beats it. This hairstyle probably takes me about 10 minutes, obviously, because i'm filming it takes a bit longer, but in real life it's about 10 minutes to do and i'm literally out the door. It'S just so easy and so simple and it just looks so classy in my opinion. So yeah, i hope you guys enjoyed this video.
