What'S of UT's, it's Lindsay welcome back to my channel and welcome to another episode in here week today, I'm gon na show you guys how I achieved this high pony kind of wet lick, featuring insert name here. So if you want to know how I achieve this look keep on watching alright girls, so we are starting out looking whoa real cute. Okay, I told y'all dirty hair is the best hair for this style. You know it just works best on dirty hair. So I'm all over the place, as you can see, my hair looks a mess, an absolute mess, my scouts probably a little dry too, but like oily, you know, you know the combo, I'm gon na start out by just using my Denman brush, and this is what I'M using to detangle all of my hair, I would say this is like day six hair. Probably I need to wash it, but I want to do tutorial for you guys. First now, my natural hair is super curly curlier than this, but this is after wear and tear, but kind of um brushes have been through it. Combs have been through it. The hair has been in braids. I'Ve had my hair in a bun. Most of the time. I hear Cinnabon, so this is like brushed out curls by day six. This is what my hair is looking like step, two I'm going in with the IVA NYC satin dream: leave-in cream. Oh I've seen people using a squirt bottle to what their hair first. This is water based, it is a leave in conditioner cream and it also is water-based, like I just said so, it kind of does a two-in-one effect, so you don't need to you, can leave the spray bottle out of it, so I'm just going in and applying Some of that first next, I'm gon na go in with the styling mousse. This is the main magic tenon one. You guys saw this in my video yesterday and we're using this for the hold. This is what I want to hold every little piece of hair together with not really on the slick side. Yet we'll get there in a second, but this is more for the hold. So I'm making sure to put that on top underneath get the back a lot of times. People miss the back. You'Ve got to get the bad girl now. The next step is an important step, the slicked back. Alright, these are two very important things you need. You need an edge control that is not be crunchy and not gon na be flaky, okay, and then you also need a boar bristle brush this brush. I just remember my mom hit me in the head with this. I'Ve had this, since I was literally three years old since I could remember. I don't even know it's been forever, but I've had that brush my whole life. So yeah you need a boar bristle brush, because you need to be able to collect all the hair and you need a really good edge control as well. So I like using lovely bees. I'Ve said this in previous video videos. I like this one because it does have honey in it. That'S like the main ingredient with shea butter in castor oil, so it is very nourishing and moisturizing for your hair and, like I said it doesn't flake up, it doesn't get crispy crusty and all that jazz. So using this brush, you want to make sure you are brushing and gathering everything together in the placement that you want your ponytail. If you want to do a low ponytail, you totally can obviously today we're doing a high pony and I'm bringing my head forward, because I want the ponytail to sit on top. If you want to do a low ponytail, when you're tying that ponytail in the back you're going to want to put your head up so that you don't have like that bump going on on the back of your head, you want it to tie it. While your head is back so then by the time you come back up, you know you get a little snatched action so forward for a high pony backwards for a low pony. Okay. So I'm just using a hair tie to tie all of that together. Super tight and if you do have any pieces, that kind of come up a little bit just grab a bobby pin the little baby ones work better, but I didn't have any so. I just had the normal sized bobby pins, and I use that right here where there was a little piece kind of sticking up. So I just left my natural hair ponytail down. You can definitely put it in a little bun or braid it if you want to, but if it kind of matches the ponytail that you're about to put in your head you're really not going to see it. So that's why I just left it down, and I also applied a little bit of the Eva cream that I used up here as well. So, let's get into the ponytail, I know that's what you guys are here for this pony is from insert name here. This is the Shayla ponytail and it's actually inspired by makeup Shayla. So if you guys watch her, I'm sure you know who that is. It'S definitely got a crinkly, curly style kind of like a wet look, which is what I was kind of going for. For this look so my curly girls, this one is for you. I know I'm gon na get a ton of questions about the hair quality. It is not human hair. These is actually a Japanese synthetic fiber, so you can style it with other units as well. All their units are Japanese synthetic fibers, with the exception of their extensions, but yeah you can definitely apply heat to it, but it's kind of like a one-time thing. So, however, you style, it is just gon na stay that way and you can't reapply heat or restyle it if it's a curly unit and you straighten it, it's gon na stay straight. So just keep that in mind. I definitely would not encourage you to use heat on this style, because this is like this is how it should look, so don't mess with it. Now, as you can see for the construction of the ponytail, you do get one comb sewn on top and then you get a little velcro piece that will wrap around the ponytail to like make it stay in place and just bobby pin that and then you get To go, I chose to braid that wraparound piece, which was a little bit of a struggle, but I wanted to do that so that it made that hair kind of like sturdier. I guess it was more like a rope and in doing that it makes this piece around the ponytail sturdier and holding it up more. A lot of people will just take that wraparound piece wrap it around in bobby. Pin it - and I mean that's fine, that's what it that's, what it you're supposed to do, but if the ponytail is heavy and you do that you're gon na notice throughout the day, it's probably gon na be sliding back a little bit and then you're gon na Be like oh, my gosh, my ponytail is coming off, so you want to find a way to make that wraparound piece a little bit sturdier, whether you braid it or you put a gel or mousse in it. That is crunchy that that's the part where you would want it kind of crunchy and holding because you want it to just stay firm, hold this ponytail up. I took that little comb and placed it in my ponytail and then wrap the piece around again. I was struggling a little bit, so I recommend, holding the ponytail in one hand and doing the wrap around with the other hand that way, you're not getting ponytail pieces in your wrap around and then it's just like all a mess. So yes, quick tip once you've wrap that all around just a bobby, pin it in place and you're basically done. This is where you just kind of do the finishing touches. So I did go in and touch up the baby hair. So I use lovely bees again for that and then for a few of the flyaways that were going on with the ponytail. I just used my Tresemme mousse to lay those down and that's it. So it's really simple, as you could see, maybe five to ten minutes tops and curly girls. This is perfect for you. If you don't want to use any heat on your hair. So thank you guys so much for watching. I hope you went.
