How To: Sleek Low Ponytail | Drawstring Ponytail Extension

Hey everyone welcome back to my youtube channel today I will be showing you how I achieved this slicked down ponytail using a drawstring ponytail extension. So I know, ladies, we have those days where our curls just aren't popping or we're looking for a new style. To do. That'S quick and easy so today I'll be showing you how you can achieve that using just a drawstring, ponytail and I'll show you the products that I use to slick down my hair. So today I used my miele organics leave-in conditioner when I washed my hair today and since there was only a little bit left, I actually just went ahead and put water in the spray bottle and I'm using that as my spray bottle today. So what I'm going to do is spray water, and this leaving edition are all over my hair. So that way I can make it as smooth as possible and then I'm going to add the gel. You just want to work this water into my hair so that it makes it a lot easier to use my brush to smooth all of my hair down. So the gel I'm using today is the eco styler crystal gel, and I'm going to use a generous amount of this and work it into my hair to make sure it's nice and smooth. You get that gel on the nape of your neck as well. So you can smooth those curls down so now I'm going to use this big paddle brush to just kind of detangle and smooth down the roots, so they're, nice and smooth. So now I'll use this hard bristle brush to really smooth down my hair. To make sure it's nice and sleek for my ponytail, so now I'm just going to try to get it all back in a ponytail and make sure it's nice and sleek. If you feel you need to add a little bit more gel definitely do I feel like I need a little bit more on the top here. So now, you're just gon na take an elastic band and tie your ponytail and I'll secure my little twist. The edge control I've been loving lately is the ebon New York edge control tamer. This is their 24-hour extreme firm hold, and then I just go in with this small brush and smooth down my edges and you're. Just making sure the Joe and the edge control is fully worked in and that your hair is nice and smooth. I'M just smoothing it down as much as I can I'll leave this on for about five or ten minutes just so it can smooth down a little bit so with these type of ponytails drawstring ponytails, it does come with a clip at the top so that your Ponytail can stay secure and, like I said it as a drawstring ponytail, so once you put it on your little bun in the back, you'll pull the drawstring to make sure it's tight and secure. You want to make it too tight. You don't want to have a headache by the end of the day, but you just want to make sure it is on. I like this ponytail, I think, just at the base of the hair. I will just fluff it a little bit alright and that's it. Hopefully, this will be a simple and easy style that you can do on a day where your curls aren't popping, and you just want to put your hair back in a ponytail, but your hair is too short.
