Bubble Braid Ponytail W/ Clip In Extensions | How To: Ponytail W/ Extensions

Hey my loves!

I'm back again with another video and this time I show you guys how to create a bubble braid ponytail with clip in extensions! I first give a tutorial of how to create a long sleek ponytail with clip in extensions on my SHORT hair, then I show you guys how to create the bubble braids once your ponytail is done! I hope you guys learn something new from this video, since I've seen many tutorials on this topic. I decided to do this tutorial, because my friend recommend to do so, since she wanted to learn how to create a long ponytail with clip in extensions! Enjoy and feel free to ask any questions you have in the comments!

Hey, what's up you guys, welcome back to my channel. Did you miss me? Did you did you because i missed you and today my intro is going to be a little bit different because guys i noticed that i've been getting a lot of new subscribers lately and i am super super super super super super thankful for it, but i did Want to introduce myself to all of my new subbies, so hi guys. What'S up, my name is eliza um. If you haven't already checked out all of my other videos, i do a lot of. I don't know makeup. Glam lifestyle sometimes story time videos and definitely a lot of vlogging too, but yeah hey. What'S up, i hope you stay for the long run and i basically um wanted to have you guys comment down below what your name is where you're from and which type of videos you guys like for my channel the most. I definitely want to get to know you guys a little bit better and i do hope and pray that you guys actually comment down below. I really do care about connecting with my subs guys like for real, i get so happy when i get new subscribers like you have no idea. I know that when i get to like i think i said this in a previous video, but when i get to even 10 000 subscribers, i know for sure i'm gon na cry, like you have no idea but anyways um. This is not a sob story, and this is not a um saab video. So today, i'm going to show you guys how to get this hairstyle right here and to basically clip on your own hair extensions, to give you like a long ponytail. So i'm going to give you basically two options. The first option is just how to clip your extensions and make it look real and then the second will be how to get these cute little. You know, i don't know what you would call it this style right here, but yeah you guys. As always, you know the drill and if you don't know the drill, this is the drill. Don'T forget to subscribe. Comment like and ring that bell yeah. I don't know why i was counting the subscribing and commenting i'm using my fingers a lot today but anyways. So i'm going to be doing my hair in my bathroom, so, let's head on over there. Okay, you guys so the first thing you want to do is obviously that was my dog sorry. So the first thing you want to do is obviously um fix your hairline up here you want it to be straight and i'm basically using. I don't know what type of brush this is, but you know what it is. You could get this from sally's beauty salon. You could get this probably from rite aid or cvs. You know majority of the drugstores have like a whole hair section that has brushes like this, but yeah okay. So i fixed that as good as i could, and now we are going to uh tie our hair and you want a very thin rubber band like this. Guy over here, um, preferably a stretchier one than this. This one is a little restricting and i have to care, but um. You want a thin rubber band because there needs to be enough space between the rubber band and your hair. For your extensions to clip onto yeah, so now i'm going to tie my hair and of course, i'm going to brush it to make sure that i tie it smoothly, make sure you get the baby hairs, and this is the type of brush i'm using for this. It'S really helpful to get like really thin tiny hairs that are sticking out on your head, and i like it when the side hairs like right above my ears are really nicely. You know put back like super smooth and everything, but yeah we are going to tie it, make sure there's no bumps all right. Let'S tie it now, yeah this rubber band is not stretchy at all, so i would suggest using a stretchy one. Okay. So now that the hair is tied, i'm going to look to the side and see if there is enough volume in the back, so it looks like i actually did not do such a bad job. Okay, so it looks good normally, if like either it's flat here or even on the side. I just use this thin part and i like go through the hair wherever it's flat like you see, you could do this and then you pull out that's what she said or he um but yeah. You just pull it outward and if you use your hands, it's not recommended, because with your hands, you pull a lot stronger than you're trying to so you end up like having actual strands of hair sticking out, and we don't want that. We just want volume without having to re-tie our hair. Now, what you're going to want to do is pretty much smooth down all of the tiny little hairs and what i do is basically use hairspray and the hairspray i usually use is the tresemme um yeah extra hold spray. So that's what we are going to do now, just spray anywhere. You see tiny hairs and then use your hand to smoothen it out. You don't want to really use a brush to like put down the little hairs because it's going to ruin the whole perfect circular shape of your hair. Sometimes i even spray these little sideburns right here and then i hold it up like this and i blow dry. It because when you blow dry it the hairspray dries quickly and it just stays like super tight. You know, um, you see how it kind of like sticks out right here. Yeah um, usually when you just spray it and try to push it down, it doesn't work, at least with my sides burns, because i mean i wouldn't necessarily say these are side runners. This is my hair. That'S behind my ear, but like the hair doesn't stay unless you're pulling on it and you would literally have to like pull on it and wait until it dries so like it's better just to hairspray. It oops yeah, see this side all right and the good thing about this trust. My hairspray is that for the most part it dries very quickly, okay, guys, so we have our hair tied. And now, when you look at your hair in the back, i mean it should look like this, but um in my case my hair was curled prior to you know doing this, and so like some of these hairs are sticking out like they're curving outward. So if you have that issue going on, you got ta straighten them, so they kind of just like you know, point downward. So we have our hairs. I was gon na, say: hairspray we have our hair straightener. This is the iron hair straightener. I got this from sally beauty, um and i'm gon na try to like fix this hair as much as possible. The good thing is this: hair is in the bottom. It'S not right on top here, because in the bottom it just like you know, stays under your neck and doesn't really show that much. But if it was up here - and it was like curved outward once you put your extensions in it's going to stick out through your extensions and it's going to show so yeah straighten that out as much as you can. I tried to actually straighten out my ends before i tied my hair, but you know my hair was curled, so i guess i didn't straighten it enough yeah, so this is the best we could do for now. Normally, i would straighten my hair before i do this haired look, i'm going to just try to hairspray it a little and also i have a lot of baby hairs around my neck in the back, so i usually end up smoothing those out too alright um. Now we are going to put the extension on and basically what i do is get like one strand of your extensions, and these are bellamy, hair extensions. I would probably not use the one with the four clips use, one with three, because you're gon na wrap it around your ponytail and it's just gon na be way too long or in this case way too wide but yeah. I know this is a two okay. So i got one with three and i totally forgot that i actually cut my extensions like see it's kind of short. I cut them till i give them layers. So that's not that cool, but it's okay. So i'm going to turn around and show you guys how i clip them onto my hair. Hopefully, my camera doesn't blur okay, so i don't know how messy it is back here, because i didn't check and i'm way too lazy to but uh yeah we're going to clip on the extensions and basically what you do is get the middle clip and go right To the root of your hair and clip it on bam, now you got these two sides so you're going to go under and clip one and then you're gon na wrap the other one around and clip that one right on top of the extension right. On top of the other clip bam. Okay, so you've got this thing going on over here, but obviously the hair is not thick enough, so you've got to start stacking on top. Since i cut my extensions, i'm going to get another um two clip hair piece and i'm going to put that one on top. Normally i would start stacking the um one brush pieces, but well, why am i calling it a brush? The one clip pieces, but since you know i cut my hair, my extensions and they're kind of short, i'm going to just do one more thick layer before i start putting in the one strands. Okay, let's put this one on all right camera. Are you focusing on the back of my head, uh yeah? I just want to let you know the back of your head is ridiculous, all right so now we're going to wrap this around and then clip it on to the previous extension as best we can all right. Let'S do the same thing with this guy bam. Okay, so now it's looking a little better. Do you guys love how i'm using my hands to speak to you guys? Okay, so now we're going to add a few of the one strand pieces? Okay! So now this one, you can clip right on top okay, i got another strand, so i'm gon na clip that one on this side - okay, and just for the heck of it, i'm gon na clip another one under okay. So i got my last strand and i'm gon na basically just clip this under here, because we have some space here that we could put it on. Yes, obviously try to um get it as close to your hairline as possible, but in some cases it's very difficult to so just try your best. So now we got another strand and we're going to wrap this around the clips, and what you want to do is basically fold it like this like fold it a clip at a time. You fold it at once fold it again fold it again and then i think it has one more left in it: okay bam, so you got this thick strand right here, and this is a decent amount of hair. So this should hopefully cover all of the clips. If not, you can always use one of the four clip strands, but i'm going to try with this. The only issue is, i also cut this one for extensions, so, let's see okay. Sometimes what i do is clip these together. If you're really good with hair, you don't have to and you can wrap it around and eventually get back to it like get back to the clips, you know in a loop and keep them together, but if you're not that good with hair or even if you Have long nails it's really difficult to keep all of the hair intact, and do it perfectly so um, i'm gon na clip it. The clips i like to use are these guys over here i forgot what these are called these. I guess snap clips yeah. So just get one snap clip and then just like put it in the extensions like i try to go inside like it's not thick enough to where it's gon na clip on. If you put it, you know all the way from the front to the back. It'S not gon na happen, so just try to put it in the center of it and you'll have like. Maybe one strand right here. I don't know what this section is called one of these sticking out and that's okay, as long as majority of it is like put in place, oh and make sure to have a regular bobby pin, because once you wrap it, you're gon na have to pin it. So keep that in your hand, so yeah start from the bottom make sure the main hair is out of the way so wrap it around, and this is the most important part you got to make sure not to let go of the hair and the clip may Come off so you got to make sure that doesn't happen either. Now we're gon na do the first clip which i'm gon na do from this side, because i felt majority of the thick hair ending on that side. The rest of the hair that i wrapped around was the end of the extension, so it's super thin and we could just hair spray that down and if you don't want your clips to show you could clip them at the bottom. Okay. So i'm going to add another bobby pin. We can add it right here. It'S actually pretty hard to do this. When i don't have a mirror right here, so there you go. Okay, we did another clip, make sure the bobby pin isn't poking you in the head. So you got ta, make sure it's slanted kind of so this clip is gon na be sticking out, and that is totally fine, because now you could pretty much take it out if you want in some cases, if you've hidden it well, you don't have to, but For me, obviously it was sticking out and i don't have a mirror here so um yeah. I took it out because the extensions don't need that much support anymore and then you can see there's a little bit of hair sticking out up here, but that's okay. They are so thin that we're just gon na hairspray them down, and also we see that there's clips here right. So, if there's still clips showing from your extensions, if you don't want to like take apart, the whole thing, add another strand of hair and wrap it around. Like i said guys, this is not like the conventional way you're supposed to give yourself a ponytail like normally. They have like a whole extension just like that to wrap around your hair. But when you don't got those, then you got to work with what you got. Okay, i got another strand of hair and this one's just a two clip, so you can pretty much just uh fold this in half and you got this strand right here. So, let's do this one more time so again leave the clips at the bottom because they will most likely show at the top bam hold it wrap the hair around and hold it with your other hand, grab it again from this side. Now that we did the second wrap, it should be easier to do the rest. Let'S bobby, pin this again at the bottom, and now it should look something like this. When you haven't really touched up these top hairs yet so clip in another, then i'm going to do a third one for a good measure. Okay, one more and for this one i'm going to do the opposite direction, so it could crisscross with the other bobby pins. So it should look something like this, so now we have enough hair up here that we could pull the hair downward a little bit. So that's what we're gon na do without a mirror. Hopefully i'm doing it correctly without seeing myself. Okay, there you go. I know the strands are still sticking out: that's totally fine we're gon na spray them down. Like i said, okay. So now, i'm gon na use the mirror and look at the progress we've made. So it looks kind of messy at the bottom, because the little strands are still sticking out so now we can start to hairspray them down and obviously, when you hair spray them, the clips will also stay in better so yeah. This will make it look way cleaner and if you don't want to blow dry your hair or you can't um, then you kind of have to hold down the hair for a little bit until the blue until not the blow dryer, but until the hairspray dries down. Okay, guys, so if you did good, this is what it should look like and you can stop here pretty much i mean you could just do this look right here, but if you want my hair that i had in my first perfume collection, video then keep watching. Okay, so this part is a lot easier. It just takes some time, but you want to take those same thin, rubber bands or you could even do thick ones. If you want, you know, just stand out or something, but i want to do thin ones today and all you basically do is pretty much just tie your hair, so we're going to put the one strand here. You want to have enough space between every strand to where you could like pull hair and have it like bulk up like this really thick. So so. This right here is about good bam. Now we basically just pull to make it look like a little balloon there. You go now you're gon na. Do it again make sure the hair is all brushed out? Okay, we did our second one. Now we pull the hairs out again a little bit now. Do it one more game, so we got this much left to go. So you probably will need two more hair bands. Yes, your hair does get thinner the lower you go, so you have to tie it more times like you have to wrap around the hairband more um, and then you also kind of have to pull the hair a little bit more than the top hairs. So for this guy right here since there's less hair - and it looks thin you're gon na kind of have to give it the illusion that it's full obviously do it carefully. You do not want to mess up so yeah and all i'm doing is just kind of slightly pulling onto it. So now it looks like this and then, if you have any tiny, flyaways, obviously hairspray but yeah. So this is where we're at now. We just have that last strand right here to do right, so this one we tie at the bottom right here. Okay, i'm sorry guys! I have to do it down here, but you already know the drill all you do is tie. So i pull out the hairs from the sides and then i pull them out one more like across so like up down and sides. So it's like poofy all around there. You go darling there. You go, and i see a little bit of a strand right here. So we're gon na hair spray that down you got it gorgeous. Now it's looking pretty cute, i'm not gon na lie gorgeous see a strand right here, a flyaway strand that i forgot to hairspray all right, you guys that is pretty much it. We are done with the hair um. If you have any other flyaways, you know little baby hairs. All you got ta do is just hairspray them and keep working with them. So i will see you back in my room all right guys. That is it for this video. I hope you enjoyed the tutorial um. I don't know if you guys noticed all of my little baby hair sticking out on my forehead in the intro or even in the tutorial, but sorry about that. It'S very hard to do. The look when you don't really have a mirror close-up but yeah before i end this video again, i'm going to remind you guys to please comment down below what your name is or where you're from and what type of content you like of mine and if you Want to give me any more information about you, so i could get to know you guys better.
