Hi everyone and welcome back to let's see Harry's channel. My name is Elena. Today'S video is extremely fun because I am going to be debunking all of those hair extension myths that are out there. So this video should be really helpful if you want to buy some hair extensions or you're in the market for a new pair of hair extension that you've had some bad experiences with some or you've heard some bad things about them. Hopefully, this will clear the air for you if you have any setbacks about buying a new pair of extensions or your very first set of hair extensions. I hope you guys enjoyed the video and let's get started so quickly if you want to mention for some people that find hair extensions over ties in too expensive. I'Ve had these extensions since July, and it's now February and as you can tell they're, really really mixed alike, they feel like hair, they're, soft they're, manageable and guys. I wear them almost every day, like 5 to 6 days out of the week. I am wearing these extensions from the moment I wake up to the moment I go to bed. I give these extensions a good friend for their money. So if you take care of your extensions, you will get your money's worth, so I just wanted to say that, but let's get started. One of the biggest myths with hair extensions is that it will leave your hair, broken damaged and extremely thin, but that is definitely not the case. My hair is so thick and healthy, because these hair extensions are clip-ins. They don't pull out your hair because you take them out at night and you only wear them when you really want to enhance the length and thickness of your hair. Another misconception with hair extensions is that they won't blend in with your hair, especially if you have thicker hair. It'S definitely something you would consider with luxy hair extensions. In particular, there are different thicknesses, so you can match your hair to whatever you think would blend the best. I have medium thick hair, but I do have a blunt haircut, so it makes it look thicker at the ends. So I blend in my two 20-grand luxy hair extensions in dirty blonde, and it does the trick. No one ever notices that I'm wearing hair extensions and they blend perfectly. Another reason why people might be afraid of hair extensions is that they think they'll be showing all the time, and I promise you they won't show if you clip them in properly. So my advice is never clip them too close to the top of your head, because then they probably will show if a gust of wind comes your way or you're shaking your head, I tend to never go higher than my eyebrow. I find you never see them when I clip them here if I clip them higher than they possibly could kind of pop through, but whenever I clip them here, they are good as gold and they are hidden and you would never know I'm wearing hair extensions. Some people may think that wearing all of this extra hair on your head could really weigh it down and give you headaches and really make your head kind of itchy. But it's all in how you apply your extension. The best way to apply that I've learned over the years is actually not clipping it right to your scalp. It'S taking a piece of hair and clipping it a little bit down so that it's movable and it's holding onto the piece of hair rather than right on your head. I never get migraines this way. My hair is a little bit more flexible with hairstyles and I'm able to move it in two different directions. Now this next one is quite common. A lot of people think that hair extensions just get really naughty and they're hard to deal with after a while. But with most hair extensions, if you take care of them well, then they honestly last for so long. I'Ve had this set since July and, as you can tell, they look shiny and really healthy and they never cause problems in my hair just make sure to take care of your hair extensions. There will be a video link down below on how you can maintain your extensions so that you can get the most possible wear out of them. Extensors are actually really great if you want to try out a different hair color. If you have a darker hair color and you don't want to permanently dye your hair, you can always put in an ombre set or a lighter hair, color and blend it in and it looks like you have instant highlights, or an ombre hair color. It'S a great way to try out a different hair color without any permanent changes. Now. The main reason I have worn hair extensions for over a decade is because of the unlimited hairstyles you can do. Having extensions gives you so much variety for hairstyles, like braids or voluminous curls, or just any style that you've always wanted to try. It really gives you endless options, and that's why I always wear mine, because I love being creative with my hair. Now, when it comes to different types of hair extensions, there are a lot on the market. There are clip-in so in individual bond microbead braided west, when it comes to permanent methods like bonds, microbeads and so ends. This requires a lot of time and maintenance and money always make sure you get it done by professional, because poor application, it can really lead to very extreme damage on your hair, and you do not want that safest. Most effective version of hair extensions are clipping. It can be taken in or out whenever you want, if you take care of them well, they can last a very long time more so than a permanent method, my biggest tip, if you are going to sleep with them in make sure to put one of those Elastics around your hair that don't leave a kink or just tie it in a braid, so I hope you guys liked today's video and you found it useful, don't forget to hashtag lucky hair. If you have it set and you want to throw them up, we would love to see your post. I hope everyone has a beautiful day and a wonderful weekend and I'll see you guys in the next video bye

Skyline -4: 2 years of wearing hair extensions every day for about 10 hours everyday, and my hair is NOT damaged at all. If you do it right you won't ruin anything. Don't get crappy ones and you won't be dissatisfied. No headaches. No thinning. No hair falling out. Some people, like me had a bad hair cut wear the lady cut about 5 inches shorter than I wanted. To the vase of my ear. That looked like crap on me and I looked like a little boy. Extensions saved my dignity and my mood. I'm soo very glad I got some nice ones and I didn't have to go to work looking like a 5 year-old cut my hair.

Räv Engström: The only bad thing I can think about is that you can kind of get addicted to them and not feel as good about the little amount of hair you naturally have

LanaRusicTV: I have had my Luxy Hair extensions for almost 4 years now. I have dyed them once, curled, straightened, washed them, teased some of them and made a chignion for a bun etc. and they still look brand new. So it is possible to have them forever

Raluca England: I would love to see a video from Luxy Hair expressing answers to the all their complains in a professional and respectful manner. I have watched tons of reviews; I have wanted to hear some replies from the Luxy Hair team. The shedding, the plastic covering, washing them, things like that.

hairstylesbygabby: For the people saying that her hair is dull, please remember it is the winter months (also videos can effect that to)... Most people's hair changes during this time, the summer sun makes the natural shine and highlights come out.. And when it is cold and no sun hair can get dry from the cold winds and many other things can happen I think the cool thing about hair is that everyone's hair is different and can look different which is fine!

LynzieWho: Thanks! I just got my first clip-ins yesterday and tried them for the first time today without watching any helpful videos yet, just to get a real first impression. I'm already in love! The eyebrow-level trick is easy to remember, I'll be using it. ^.~

Dena Jae Taucher: Another trick I’ve learned is to flip the teeth upward so it’s grabbing closer to the base of the hair instead of keeping them downward! Much better grip! And extremely little slippage!

Eunice Duckett: Wow! This video was very informative. I just came across it, I am African American and trying clip ins for a curly look. Your video was the best at answering my hair care questions. Just want to say thanks even two years later your videos rock!

Mindy Gregersen: I have crazy color, so I have to use 100% human hair extensions. I typically spend around $100 for a full head set of 20" extensions, and they easily last a year: I've even bleached one set twice!

MascaraDolly23: I use to wear hair extensions everyday and my hair wasn't growing hardly as soon as I removed it and stopped wearing it my hair has grown sooo fast

Halibugz: My Luxy extensions that I bought when I was sixteen are still good and I'm 21. They're amazing! Now, though, I'm in the market for permanent extensions, which are unfortunately very expensive, and it's difficult to find some that are real hair.

Jodie Shackleton: The only problem I have with my hair extensions and it doesn't matter the brand is my natural hair always ends up matting with the extentions, but even without the extensions in it does the same, so even thou it might be a quick fix to getting long hair and volume but over time it will do more damage to both the extension and your natural hair if you have the same problem

Karen Field: I learned a lot. I love clip ins too. But I have a Bob and when I clip in my long extensions, it looks very thick where the Bob ends at my shoulders and thin past my shoulders. I back comb the ends abit, to make it less obvious. Love my extensions so much, I was thinking of a short natural cut so I can wear my extensions every day.

Bluebird: I think I might buy hair extensions(not these). My hair is down to my hips but the last 5 inches is super thin! After reading that all of you guys have experienced hair loss with clip ins im not too sure if I should go for it.

Alexandria Collins: Hi mimi! I just ordered my first set of luxies and I'm so excited!

Ta6SH-The6IsSilent: Comment 300!! Thanks for the information! This video was extremely helpful with finding useful info to apply to my new hair extensions. Even 4 years later! Video has aged well! Thanks again, doll!

PrincessLibra16: Did not think of that! Clip them into a piece of your hair instead of to the scalp. Thanks for that tip! Very useful!

L Olausson: If you leave your hair alone (no more hair dyes, heat styles, over washing, etc) and eat healthy your hair will grow and you wont need this nonsense. Hair extensions DO ruin your hair if used all the time. The metal clips alone are NOT hair friendly!

aliyah adams: The clips do put stress on your hair strands/scalp as well as snag your hair. Everyday wear especially, can and will cause some form of damage sooner or later. Some people more than others.

Bettyann Villasenor: Thanks for the tips, bought my first hair extensions today at Sally's beauty only they are one long continuous hair extension and I have no idea what to do with it or how to apply it. No clips or anything, just a long strand of beautiful curly locks

Marta Brandão e Heliodoro: Girl... I have my clip ins for 3 years now Hahaha I have cut them, curled, even dyed them and they are fine haha

princessraidd: I was wearing clip inns a full week my scalp turned red and it was very painful. There only good for occasions. Super honest advice..

Sierra: this video was super helpful but i still have so many questions! i'm not a "girly girl" and i've never worn or bought hair extensions before but i'm currently growing out a haircut i didn't like and need them desperately. i often dye my hair a burgundy color out of the box(cause ya girl a broke bitch, i know i know) but how do it go about that? i don't want to try to color match and end up having to order different colors hoping one of them works since im limited on money. i do know you don't dye hair extensions or wash them as often as you do your normal hair but can you dye hair extensions at all? i've seen people do it but is it okay for the hair extensions? exactly how do i dye them if i can and how often so i redye them if needed? i appreciate any help and advice anyone can give.

Michelle: Hair extensions make you feel horrible about yourself when you take them out, my £400 clip ins gave me traction alopecia, I tried tape ins and i removed them gently with coconuts oil and my hair filled the sink... just don’t do it

AyaSin X: I really want extensions now. I always wanted my hair to be long but once it gets to a certain length, it's so incredibly heavy that I have to get it cut shorter or I get headaches. At least extensions don't get thicker cuz they don't actually grow lol

raquel tome: I'm always in doubt what are they really made of.... would you be able to maybe do a video on this? Thank you!

Alptraum669: Y'all know how there's weird sections of YouTube? Where everything is weird and you recognize nothing and it's like you're discovering an entire new world? Bro that's exactly what this is for me. Wow. Learning so much right now.

Owoo looloox: I am thinking about buying hair extensions for the first time. But I don’t really want to spend £50 or £100 pounds just to try it out, and I’ve thought about clip ins, because tap ins seems like a bad idea with the glue and stuff. I just got my natural hair (light to medium brown) highlighted with golden blonde and bleach blonde, so it might be harder to find a match, especially online. Is there any cheap option worth buying to try out, and If so where and is it online ??

Dawn: I'm having a hard time when it comes to.putting my hair in any sort of updo or even a high pony. The extensions tend to show very easily. Not sure if it's because I have very fine hair naturally and my luxy extensions are a bit thicker. Any suggestions???

Cat Valles: You honestly can't tell people that breakage is a myth. Everyone has different hair therefor you cannot label a fact for someone a myth just cause it did not happen to you <3 my hair is thin and I have worn extensions with damage along the hair line where I clip them, I have TONS of hairs sticking straight out now because of the breakage. You tease your hair and that in combination with the clip ins, cause breakage to my hair. It sucks and I am working on repairing my head of hair.

Lůca Emm: Hii, do you think that you can wear clip in for volume hair with keratin fusion? I have keratin fusion in 55-60 but ends are too thin thank youu ❤️

Killer Queen: I’m addicted to my extensions I literally won’t go anywhere without them

Lea Seberg Fladstad: How long can tape extensions be on hair, can it be used again several times on the hair, will it hold on the hair without falling off, does it get curly when it gets wet, does it feels like our own hair when we wear it and can it make hair worn?

Luiza M: The first myth is actually REALITY.You have thick hair because of genetics not because of extensions.Besides don't bullshit people saying that luxyhair extensions don't pull your hair down and they don't live your hair thin.Even Mimi suggested in a video called "How to prevent hair loss and have beautiful hair" that you shouldn't wear your extensions 24/7 and especially not wear them when you sleep.DON'T LIE just to sell your products!!!!

Relaxananda: Good to know! thanks for the info!

Jenna Johnson: Just got my first set ! Super EXCITED !

Trisha Wilson: How do you get the clips to stay in and not slip? I have to tease my hair for them to stay, is there certain clips I should buy?

Kristi Hicks: Awesome video thanks for advice!!

Melody Patterson: You cannot compare clip ins to tape ins or fusions.....you can take out the clipins so of course they last longer.

Sheila NoneYaBiz: Thank you so much I was contemplating this for years you don’t even know. Lol

Colleen Canary: Mimi has a video on how to care for your extensions and covers way more than this video! Pro - tip - never sleep with your extensions! You're damaging the roots of your real hair! Total rubbish saying you can sleep with them in! Listen to Mimi, not this rubbish!

Adam: I came here because i honestly didn't know what extensions where. They seem worth the money indeed.

Sam L: I love my luxies but they start to hurt my head/scalp after an hour or so of wear. It gets to a point where I'm dying to get home so I can take these off. Before you all say anything, Im pretty sure I clip them in properly just like this video. And i also never clip in the whole set, usually just 3-4 of them. I think it's an issue that's brushed off quite often. We see these videos of hair extensions and how beautiful they all look with their long thic hair but it's simply not practical to wear them everyday for hours. The most a normal person can do is a few hours for a special occasion/event. I almost regret wasting $250 on them and only worn them a handful of times. I wish someone had told me this was going to be an issue before I invested my money into it.

Kira Tuthill: Good info but for hairstyles just don't cut your hair!

MissBbeauty: Other methods of hair extensions don't pull on your hair or damage them ether if there put in correctly and look after them correctly! X

Orbit: Even if I put my hair extensions the right way, they still hurt and pull on the hair, I think maybe halo extensions can be better...

janereaction: What if you have curly, frizzy hair? :( You would have to straighten it first, right?

Progress 14: May I know if these hair extensions are 100% human hair or synthetic?

AdrianaBabyTS: I'm actually thinking Lucy will my next set of extensions and I'm thinking of making them into a beaded sew in what do you think Luxy Hair

evelinamaria91: I don't use my clip-ins so often, maybe a couple of times/month, but I have had my luxies for 3 years now, and they still look the same! The only thing that has happened is that one of the clips don't stick so well anymore, but they sent extras.. sooo if my lazy ass could change them out, everything would be fine! ^^ Luxies are great! and I got my exakt color right away!

Hailey Norman: I have long layers and one side is chopped too short by the front of my face so there’s no fixing it. Will extensions work?

SandraBurgos - Coaching de IMPACTO: Great video!! :)

shizishan: So clip in extensions last a very long time. How long is "a very long time"? Months? Years?

healwithj: Great vid. Learned some tips for my extensions lolll

chelsey garrett: This girl has perfect eye brows!

Barbra: One of the best videos on this topic

purdy girl: The clipins ruined my hair!! They are too heavy for the sides of the head...

Christal: Honestly she's so nice ❤️

Mistyrious 1111: If you have thin hair tape in and clip in will make it WORSE! I read tape in is the best for thin hair but it broke all my hair! So did clip ins. So the myths isnt a myth but FACT! She has healthy medium thick hair so she's not a good example!

Huân Quang: They actually stay in if it's fitted properly and the wired is the right length, if it falls out your not doing it right https://goo.gl/rJEvcT , https://goo.gl/6etAYg

existential_ dredd: Can you wash your extensions while they are still in your head like in the shower?

Sp3112 chauhan: Very helpful video

Elycion: Will my hair get damaged if I use the extensions everyday? I have really thin and long hair.

Savannah Koscho: I have thin hair and I really have been thinking about getting extensions but I'm scared that it will make me get bald spots and pull out my hair and I can't afford that so can somebody please give me some advice on what to put in my hair and how to put them in properly without damaging my hair also what types should I use clip ins, tape ins???

Bridgette Teyekanoron: Where can I get those hair elastics that don't leave a "kink" in the hair? Call me naive but I didn't know those existed and want some!

Lea Seberg Fladstad: Has anyone else started wearing extensions also just because you have also had problems having short and thin hair for a long time and not been able to get long and thick hair again which you don't have patience or not even have time to wait as me?

Patrycja Brzostek: Thanks for your tips

Fraktur Obsession: I want them unfortunately in Egypt individuals aren't allowed to order or import wigs and extensions gosh they are so beautiful and light

Martina M: I can never find the perfect shade for me... do you have any experience or advice how to bleach them? I’m blonde and on web they always look like perfect match but when they arrive they are more orange-like.... now I have some expensive ones...please help!!!

Cwsing 7: I feel bold without my clip ins

Ren Mal: what happens if it rains and your hair gets wet? also, its ok to curl and flat iron extensions ?

Thea Nagasuru: If I️ wear extensions every day (I️ have 18 inch hair that is naturally pretty thick) and do not wear them at night (only for school which is like 8 hrs a day) will my hair get damaged? I’m trying to buy 24” to 26” hair extensions.

Ixchel: Does any one know where I can find full thick clip in 10 inch hair extensions for less than $100?? Full head?? My hair is 5inch long and I want bob, length natural black

Ashley F: i'm scared they will give me a headache, but if i clip it to my hair will it fall out?? (i have thin hair)

wonder woman: getting them stitch cause big hair loss due to weight . I had lost my hair honestly

Tanya F: My doubt is, suppose you get extensions like these and your hair is a certain length, what if your natural hair outgrows the extension length?

Sunshine Galkw: Look, I always notice extensions. But I’ve seen some really good ones. Can you just add them for fuller hair not length?? I don’t want long hair, just volume....

Art Tuber-pk: Plz somebody who has a good experience tell me if I cut my one piece clip in extensions into separate pieces..will it destroy my extensions..How can I cut them in to separate clips

Idil Caraale: Thanks for the tips

Little Miss: how about color match? How can i decide which will best suit my natural hair color?thnx

Anouk july: What length does your hair needs to be for wearing clip ins causi i have a bob and like to try it but iim scared the show because my hair is on the shorter side

Caroline Story: What lipstick are you wearing?? I always have trouble finding a shade I like!

Fionascoyne: love this!

xxxAN0NYM0USxx z: Where ever you clip them in, it will thin out the hair and create bald spots. No matter what hair extensions

Alina Mihai: What color is your hair in this video? The base looks like my natural hair color that I want to return to, and I don't know what color to tell my hairdresser. I do like the dirty blonde highlights, but the base seems a bit darker and ashier, with blue undertones. I would very much like to know what to call that color. I hope it's not just a camera lens filter... :). Thanks!

Nins R: The only hair extensions video youll probably need

Brenna Parker: lol I got excited for once that maybe the website she linked had extensions for redheads, don't worry I'm still disappointed.

SueArama RAPSTAR: I’m not a transgender so I Waite till my actual hair grows out but thanks for trying

cn: after I saw Britney Spears have a extension fall I had second thoughts

Yarii Iglecias: what lipstick was the girl wearing? it's so pretty!

Sarah F: 1. Can i sleep with clip in extentions? (Like she Said- If i put in in a ponytail or a braid) 2. Can i go to the Beach with clip in extentions? And Can they get wet by the ocean water?

Vikita Jadhav: y it is not shipped in india i really need them they r so beautiful n awesome i really wanna use them pls let me know abt shipping to india

Mazal Benamor: How about ponytail extension for a long pony

영어천재전정국: 너무 이쁘시다..♡

samantham111: what colour are the extensions?

Cwsing 7: I use it for a yr and it has the same condition, people should only buy real human hair

Petrichor: Why does nobody dye the roots of their extensions to match their own hair

wonder woman: And clip ons start hurting after a long wear

Araceli Perez: "That I've learnt over the years "

It's Bigz: I’m sorry but her hair is CLEARLY damaged and thin. Not saying it’s from the clip ins because it can be from the dye most definitely, but her hair is most definitely not healthy
