Autumn/Winter 2021 Capsule Wardrobe | Karina Ixta

Hi everyone welcome back to my channel if you're new here my name is karina and i'm a fashion, blogger and new to youtube. Inspo for today's video, i want to talk about something that's near and dear to my heart, and that is a capsule wardrobe. What is that basically think of it as key staples that you can add to your wardrobe that never go out of style and then you can literally wear them every single year, because you know fast fashion trends just come and go, but these are some key staple Pieces that i personally love to each their own. However, you want to style it or whatever speaks to you. This is my personal style. I love these pieces that i'm going to talk about because you can create so many outfits with let's say: 10 key staple items. You can create like 30 different looks with that said, let's get started. The first item i want to talk about is this beautiful satin silky top? I got it from zara a couple of weeks ago, i'll link all of these items that i'm talking about below. For you guys or similar items, if they're out of stock already, but i really really love this because i'll show you guys here how i styled this piece, you can dress it up, you can dress it down. I dressed it up. I had a girls night out and i dressed it up with some cute heels that i also got from zara last year, they're just staple pieces, because it's black, it's timeless it's you know something that you can use as outerwear as well with the cute little like Crop top underneath or you can just button up all the way. The way i styled it was with a black crop top obviously and black trousers, which are a must, in my eyes, a key staple as well, which i'll talk about and i'll share with you guys, which ones i have, but i absolutely love this top okay. So these are the trousers that i styled it with absolutely love these pants. These pants are actually from h, m again i'll link these below or some similar, but i do think that these are some key staples for your autumn and winter capsule wardrobe that you can add and keep over the years right, because black never goes out of style And so you can always style it every single year. The next pair of trouser pants that i want to talk about are also from h m and i actually found these in the sale. I believe. Originally, they were around 40 something dollars and i got them for 23.. It was a steal. I absolutely love how they fit i'll. Show you guys here how i style these again. You dress them up or dress them down. I personally love wearing trousers or like slacks to work whenever i have to go in person, if you guys don't know, i'm a project manager and that's my full-time job. I like to dress up when i go into the office and like really wear some again trousers. Slacks and just like dress it up with like a either a crop top and a blazer on top or something of that nature have some in black. I have some of this beautiful cream color. Those are personally my favorite to go to colors because again they're timeless and you can just re-wear them, use them in different ways. So the next item i want to talk about is this beautiful white blazer. I found this baby in h m. I believe it was either earlier this year or last year, but again just blazers add some blazers to your wardrobe. They will change your life, i'm not exaggerating, because again you can dress them up or dress them down. I personally like to dress down oversized blazers. You can just wear some biker shorts with some cute tennis shoes and then an oversized blazer with a crop top underneath or something or again. You can dress it up and hear an image i'll share with you guys. I dressed that up, and so you can dress it up. However, you want there's different ways, but definitely a key staple in my eyes, for a capsule wardrobe is a blazer okay, speaking of blazers, the next blazer that i'm so obsessed with it's from h m and this one is a chocolate brown oversized blazer, i'm absolutely obsessed With the color it's oversized, so it just fit me a little long. So i rolled up the sleeves - and i kind of like that, scrunchy rolled up sleeves look again, i like to pair it with biker, shorts or then pair it with some jeans, like a crop top underneath with this oversized blazer, you can dress it up. I'Ve worn this also on top of a dress, so there are different ways to wear it. I'Ll share with you guys here how i've styled it in the past. So again, a fall winter autumn fall staple in my eyes, because i just don't think you could ever have enough blazers in your closet, the last blazer i want to share with you guys in today's video. Is this gorgeous beautiful, faux leather blazer from zara? Yes, you guys are gon na hear zara a lot, because it's one of my favorite stories. I fell in love with this blazer because first of all, i needed wanted a faux leather blazer, and so i finally got one i finally found one this year. I was waiting for the right one, and so this one stood out because of the gold detailing here. Just so pretty i love it. It has one gold button here as well and obviously button it closed. I most of the time style. My blazers open super super nice really good quality. I believe this one was close to a hundred dollars, but obviously you can find similar ones that are more affordable, but i personally knew that i wanted to invest in one that i really liked that i knew was going to last me a long time because, again, That'S another part of a capsule wardrobe. You want to invest in items that might be a little bit more than your average spend like on clothing, but at least you know that they'll last longer, the next items i want to talk about are actually crop tops. I know crop tops. To be honest, i would say a year or two ago i was like i can't wear crop tops like i have a little longhita. You know i got some panzita down there, i don't want to wear crop tops, but you know i just still like to style them, because i wear for the most part, high-rise pants that cover some of your tummy, and so i do - and i can personally for Me style crop tops now, and so i just love them so much because they're again so versatile, you can literally dress them up, dress them down again with my biker shorts. But this one is super cute. I love the color. Obviously, i recommend you get one in an ivory or white or like a cream, you can never have too many black crop tops. This one is from h m. It was super cute. I think it was only like nine dollars. I really like tops from h m because they're really affordable and the sizing is pretty good and also, if you don't like the thin straps, they have some options with thicker straps, the next crop top just like whoa. It spoke to me when i saw it. This is from zara, and it's like this beautiful red color, almost like a red orange, and it's just like not really into red before this year, it's been so in, and it's been in my face, whether it's on social media or you know, when i go into Department stores - and so i was like you know what let me just add, a little bit of color. The next item i want to talk about and that i believe, is a key staple to your capsule wardrobe is a turtleneck and a long-sleeve turtleneck. This one is from h m. I got this one probably like two years ago again me personally. I think that this kind of style, this kind of color just never goes out of style, another key staple in my eyes that you can add to your wardrobe. The next item i want to talk about is this gorgeous again another chocolate, colored puffer vest before this year. You guys i'm not gon na lie. I was like i don't like puffer best like. I just don't think it's for me, but i fell in love with this color and i also have it in a beautiful ivory color, which is being washed right now. Otherwise, i'd share it with you guys, but it's the exact same thing: it's just an ivory color. I love that it has a zipper - it's not too over puffed. In my eyes it has some pockets here. I believe it was like 29 i'll link it for you guys. I know it's been sold out for quite a minute from h m, but if it is i'll link something similar for you guys i'll share with you guys how i styled it here today so again, another key staple puffer vests are not going anywhere. Puffer. Jackets are not going anywhere, you're gon na see them every year, so i would definitely invest in one or two next up. Is this beautiful beige? I don't even know it's like a beige gray coat. It'S so pretty i loved when i saw it actually got it on sale. I believe almost two years ago from zara absolutely love the color. You can style it in so many ways, layering, obviously here in california, it's not quite cold yet, but again, this is an autumn and winter capsule wardrobe video, and so i really wanted to share with you guys some items that i personally find are going to last. You for a long time in your closet, i would definitely invest in beige or neutral coat, even a black one. I still haven't gotten a black one. I really want to get one this year, but i really love this co. It'S lightweight, there's different kinds out there. If you want something, that's more warm inside this one's still pretty warm. Obviously it doesn't have like the fluff for inside or anything like that, but again i'll share with you guys how i styled it here, absolutely love it. So another item i want to share with you guys is this beautiful soft, cashmere cardigan i'll, be honest. I'Ve never owned anything cashmere before i was like that's too fancy for me. That'S like out of my budget. I was actually gifted this by nap lounge i'll link that below as well. I received this from them about a month ago, and so again i'm like why can't it be cold here in california. Yet so i can wear it the other night. It was kind of chilly, and so i put it on and i was like this is so comfortable. Like i love the sleeves, i again recommend investing in at least one cashmere cardigan in your lifetime, because it's so soft you don't want to take it off. It'S like literally like almost pajamas. This one has pockets as well, and it's oversized so you just feel like all snuggly and comfy. The next item i want to talk about is something that i believe you really have to have, and that's a faux leather jacket. Why? Well, first of all, you'll feel, like a badass, just saying, obviously didn't invest in one. That was like super high end. I was like. I just need one quick, because i had a vision for a day that i went to go shoot content with my friend lexi and i was like. I need a faux leather jacket and i don't have one this one's from forever 21. It was super affordable. I also didn't want to like break the bank, but i really do want to invest in one. That'S going to last me a little bit longer, not that this one won't, but you know i would want to invest in one that, i know for sure is like a higher quality for me personally, this one is good to go. It was like again around 25 26. I really like that. Moto biker style jacket, a lot of zippers, so that's good also comes with the belt. I did remove it somewhere in my closet, but again another key staple something to add to your capsule wardrobe that you can just always use every year. Faux leather jackets are never going to go out of style. Trust me, the next item that is new to my wardrobe and i absolutely love them, is anything basically that you can add as an over shirt. This is literally called a denim over shirt. This is from zara it's in this beautiful chalk, ivory color. I absolutely love it. I have it also in green i'll share with you guys how i've styled it with the green one, and i also have it in this blue gray, which i still haven't taken a photo in. But it's basically the same thing just in a blue gray. So another item that you can add to your capsule wardrobe again, you can just style it in different ways. I'Ll share with you guys here how i styled this particular one. Another item that i personally think that everyone should have in their closet again depends on your look, your style and and how you want to dress. I personally love plaid. This is like a plaid flannel, so i really really like it really love the color. It'S like ivory with black and gray, really cute. Well, i think that plaid and flannel are never going to go out of style as well. I personally invested in one of these this one's from h, m i'll link it below it's not available i'll link, one similar and i'll share with you guys how i have styled that one here. I'Ve also already styled this one. I believe i haven't posted it on instagram yet, but to beauty the last piece of clothing that i want to talk about that. I think that you should add to your capsule. Wardrobe is a trench coat. This is my first trench coat in years. I got rid of some trench coats in the past because after i had my daughter, you know everything just increased in size. I just wanted one that was also oversized and this one's a perfect oversized lid. This one is from pretty little thing. It has a belt here i'll share with you guys how i have styled this one as well. I styled it here for today's video and i've also styled it with a cap and dressed it more down with my doc martens. A trench coat seriously is a must. So for the next part of the video, i really want to talk about shoes. We all love shoes. I love shoes. The first one are my jaden doc. Martin boots, as you can see, i just wore them in the dirt, so they're a little bit dirty, but i absolutely love these pair of doc, martens they're, just so fun. You can just dress them down it's casual. It has that, like you, just feel like a baddie in them, especially with my faux leather jacket, definitely a key staple that you can add to your autumn and winter capsule wardrobe, the next boot that i'm absolutely obsessed with are these beautiful, steve, madden, chalk, colored, stone, Colored boots they're, so beautiful they go with literally everything and they match perfectly with my new coach, dumb colored purse as well. So i absolutely love them they're, actually very comfortable too, and i like that they have some platform to them. The next pair of shoes that i want to share with you guys are also from steve madden. These are some platform oxford shoes, they're super cute. I love them. They give me kind of this like preppy school girl, vibe, worn them with uh, either like a mini skirt and some like nylons, or you can also wear them with some slacks. Absolutely love them love the detail here with the gold super cute. The next item i want to talk about that. I think you should add to your capsule wardrobe personally, because they're so comfortable, they just go with everything. Every time i wear them. I get compliments whether it's with jeans biker, shorts, leggings, just everyday wear. These are the nike air force ones, i'll link them for you guys below. They do run a little bit big. So i sized half a size down, i'm normally seven and a half eight. I got these in a seven they fit perfectly. I would just recommend that you size down a bit or just go in store and try them on absolutely adore these tennis shoes. Another pair of tennis, shoes that i've been really loving, are the new balances these are so cute. I thought they were such a fun. Color because they have black, they have some gray. They have some ivory cream to it. Another item that i added to my capsule wardrobe for autumn and winter. The next thing i want to talk about are these beautiful suede over the knee boots, they're, so cute they're. Actually very comfortable too, because they are not that high literally. I cannot walk in high high super high heels anymore, they're nice, because they're about like two and a half three inches tall. I got these honestly you guys like years ago, but over the knee boots. Never go out of style. In my personal opinion, i will link some that are very similar below, for you guys. I absolutely love these to add to your capsule wardrobe, the last pair of heels, that i want to talk about, and the last pair of shoe that i want to talk about. Are these beautiful gorgeous platform heels they're, really comfortable, believe it or not? I got these from zara, i believe last year, so i'm not sure if they're still available, but i will link some that are very similar, but these are just a classic because you can dress them with some jeans. You can dress them with some slacks trousers they're. Just super fun, so it's always nice to have a nice black high heel, in my opinion, that you can style, and that is again a timeless piece, something that's going to last you and it's a good investment that is it for today's video. I know it was jam-packed with so many goodies, so many key staples with clothing shoes. I didn't talk about accessories. Let me know if you guys want me to talk about some accessories key staples.
