#NATURALHAIR #HAIRJOURNEY #FAMILYVLOGS

I got to the point where i was like yo, i'm just done. I'M done with people touching my hair, i'm done with my hair good morning to everybody out there youtube land. You know the team work we're here. It'S yet another day. Alisa is inside work. You know jamie are watching, tell live vision as always and ajar is the new mother of the house, always sleeping nothing, no bills and me just here about to brush my teeth, wash my face and edit a few videos. You know i had one late vlog and i will not let it happen again. I got try making get the vlogs before um eight o'clock at night. So, let's work for that one and let me just give it a quick little preview of what's happening outside for the balcony. You know it's not summer time we don't have a garage because we live in an apartment, so the grill is already um covered up. My bike is put away properly, that's my stove right there and we have the ball and stuff. We have. We took those out of the trunk because we needed the space for ajaris. Stroller are my plants we already reap whatever we had in the plant, so we put that away. We had to take the mat up from off the ground yeah. This is not or far that's how it is so we have to just leave it like that. They don't paint it or anything. That'S all it is so i normally put mats down as you can see, the mats are right there. I put them down in the summertime, the table pack away the chairs and just clean up outside and let everything look um organized. So that's what i did the other day, because when it snows, they know that everything is up to date and the balcony is nice. What'S up, what's up my boy, are you loving the vlog, the vlogmas, as always as always, this is out there working out. You know we have a you know. We have a home gym, which is perfect, because when i lost my 45 pounds hold on jeffy positive, specifically, please sorry, i can't all right there. We go okay, deposit, positive, you just hear him say please. I said this is perfect because um when i lost the 45 pounds before i had a jerry did i turn on the light. You might scare some people, i'm not asking everybody yeah so yeah before i lost the 45, when i lost 45 hours, you looked good. I was pregnant um. I just worked in the living room. I only had like a couple dumbbells this and some bands close your door behind you, please much lighter coming from behind yeah, so i only had a couple of things to work out with when before um before i had a jared, but now that this is here, This is gon na, be my workout so much better. I like working out at home, i'm still i'm still set up at the gym, so i'm still gon na go to the gym eventually, but as of right now, i'm just doing some homework, though i got ta. Take it easy because the c-section i um started working out. I think, like four weeks after my c-section, don't do that. Just don't! Do that! Just give her just wait when you know your body still obviously wait for the doctor um. I want my six week. Checkup the doctor that was good because i tried before and i was feeling a lot of pain and i was realizing. I was getting like blood coming out of it and stuff, so i had to calm down so then, after the six weeks, i just did some light. Workouts some dancing workouts until i started feeling my body getting better and now i'm able to look like 25 pounds. 50 pounds i'm good, i'm good nice yeah everyone. This was an investment made last year, yeah like last year when the gym closed on i'm like yo, i can't go to the gym, so i just invested instead of getting the new iphone at the time, yeah. The iphone 12 at the time i just went all out and just shop around some stuff off amazon and we just get a proper home gym. You can't come in here come. I know, i'm blind! Nobody in our boxers alone, mina, so yeah um got two mirror. Walmart, i think i explained that to you guys already. I just got some stuff on the wall. I have some colorful lights in, but alice. I don't really like them. One shower coat. I like to turn these on to get that nice mood radar, blue, whatever color. I want in here at least i'll, do it you know and put some mats on the floor. This is literally our apartment, hallway towards the bathroom jamie's room, our room, you know, and the bathroom yeah and, of course the living room is out here. This is it so we have the hexo bar. So i do my deadly fun stuff on here and some 45 pound plate 25 pound. I have two more 45 pounds over there, so yeah. I made a good investment on these. We have this here, recall, that's something i guess you remember. I don't know um the step into the store i can step on. I have stuff here for my barbell when i'm doing like dumbbell curls. I can do like dips on here, like all these things were made in previous videos, so you can see those previous videos. We have some buns here. If we're doing back workout, you can also do this thing here. We do like tricep pull down hold it switch over. So we have this thing where you can do like tricep pull down. It comes right here, see: okay yeah. So what do we tried to pull them? I go come on mccallister. Do i work out, you know sure, from 413 and i have a wrap here where we have like the banza. You don't know the jamaican flag is almost. I have some stuff here. Medicine ball. A little few small dumbbells, the biggest dumbbell we have is a 35 phone, 25 phone 10 pound little four pound for jamie and stuff. Like that, then i have these dumbbells, the one that's adjustable, those are annoying at the wheel and you know yeah, that's a nice! You can do some pull-ups on here dips, some ab, workout and yeah. That'S it, and then i created this thing here where we can um block us out black family. When i'm working, i can just block out everybody from the living room close the park. There is, i will show some and then we can close, that close the door go through the door, go through the door, what you doing, what you're doing so, let me just start retire from interpreter. Let me just give you guys a quick view of it. So turn off this light, so this is it right here block this off enter. This is what the gym would look like when i'm working out. It'S like an enclosed piece. I put up a curtain across there and another one right there. So i'm in like an enclosed area with both doors closed and i feel like i'm in a gym. As i said, i can't to to show myself the lower part, because we only have my boxers - oh yeah man and we get it after and that's it. That'S the gym. We have the lights going, they can come alisa. I don't know the workout hard to gain easy. That'S the motto of this gym and i went on the computer print these out with our own printer and paste them myself cause to get this on. Amazon was so expensive, diy, so diy project. I need to get some glue to paste this, but no it's just regular printing paper used of my phone to design it and you know that's it. That'S the home gym working out last year because i realized like yo. I'M depressed in my body. I want to look like this almost like that, but i realized i had to do it myself, like nobody. Can literally save you like that. Just yeah, please, no one can save you, nobody! You have to do it yourself so, regardless of how you look like, i don't have my best right now, that's okay, just how about being. We were not given three months ago, yeah regardless, but you guys have to do what makes you happy like today. I was like stressed out, i woke up this morning and was like stressing me out. Ah he just i don't know, is there something a six-year-old go through? I don't know like another terrible two, something six seven-year-old he's 27 next month, but man, i think he's cause. He'S like really smart, too, but something just stressed me out so like i got up, i got him in the jar ready made breakfast tidied up a bit because i can't work out when places not as tidy as i wanted to be, and then i was like. I need to work and i need to work it out as soon as i picked up the weights. It just felt, as i said, like a relief you don't have to work out for like if you feel happy in your body already, then fine, but just if you just for your mental mental health, it just relieves a lot makes me feel calm. Just i don't know like i feel so much better already like why not just take half an hour 20 minutes, so it order every day. If you just do something to your body, you know so yeah alice. I'Ve got this finish our work with my leave. I'M actually working in peace yeah and then i'm going to do some lunch united yeah yeah, i'm going to wait for the lightning um, diy apartment, hallway gym and we have a whole video all turned up that. I will link it somewhere here. So the people who were here long ago, they would have seen those vlogs when i went to and set up the whole gym, even the um kitchen, with my youtube cooking. That was a whole makeover that those videos are available here for the new people, so check it out little more plucking. First, i'm gon na see what man rascal doing we're putting christmas picture upon him, young boy asleep. Would you like a white nice music in their bathroom? You know, but yeah, that's the farm farm, hey hachi has been telling a jerry. That was a nice part that you're gon na change that jesus. That was our friend with the dude just i hope it doesn't go, but i hope it doesn't come out yeah. These are the photos he's showing enjoy the photos. The edited photos. You were swiping a while ago. Oh it zoomed in a little bit: okay wow. This is called cool kid anyway. I just washed my hair um. I haven't washed it for under the last time. I watch it one day i washed it monday, so i'm just gon na oil it up and just leave it like this. For the day, i'm just gon na um put them in leave-in conditioner some oil and then just leave it like this for the day until it dries and then tonight put a protective style in it um so yeah my hair journey actually was messed up. So my hair came, my hair's come a long way so um. I remember what was it my hair is just short okay, so i cut my hair last year august. So august 2020 i cut my hair. I cut about 14 inches off my hair because truth be told. I don't like doing my hair, so i'll just keep it in the bun and most of the time you guys see me it's in a bun, anyways right um. I hate doing my hair like hate. It hate it hit it um and i don't know if i want to do weeks and stuff, but to be honestly, i think, maybe next year i may try like um braids and um the extension braids and um some wigs, my sister, the one you've seen in The behind the scenes she does amazing here she went to his school here. Hair school and put this on my shirt come right in the shirt out. She went to hair school um and um. She knows a lot about hairs and she does a lot of wigs and stuff so she's amazing, so she actually she so. I cut my hair last year august, i'm just where my where's my story going i'm going back and forth. So i come in here. 14, inches off and i'll show you a picture right here or right here, um 14 inches off and then it grew back. I didn't cut it until again. Last month, i'll show you a picture before and after as well um. I decided to go back short because my hair grows really fast. It grows really fast, really fast, um. I cut my hair like what last month and they already grew like two three inches, so nothing's a bad thing, but it's just i don't like doing it here. So the shorter it is the better yeah i i went through a lot of my hair, just even loving my hair too. I remember when i was younger and i think a lot of people black people have experienced this their natural hair. When i was younger my sisters when we used to play dolls and stuff, i used to put a towel in my head and act like my hair was straight. You know like caucasian hair or whatever um, because i was like. Oh my god, they are so nice. My hair's so ugly, because you know my hair's been like little ponytails and stuff, so i used to just um put towels in my hair when we play like play time and like act. What is it called? We just used to play right, so i used to do that with my hair and then i remember the first experience of like really from outside my home feeling, like my hair, was terrible. I was in junior no senior kindergarten and um we were in line. We were walking to the gym for gym time, and that day my mom decided to put my hair in the afro like a ponytail on a huge afro, i was, and i felt nice before i went to school, i felt so good. I was like yo, my hair is popping feeling confident you know, and i remember his line walking and the kids behind me said. Oh, my god, alyssa your hair is so annoying. We can't even see anything in front of us yo. I just felt like i was sinking i felt like i was sinking it was just and like from that day i just realized. My hair was just different, like a very, very different from everybody. You know - and i remember some going home and tell my mom said mommy: can you please not do my hair like that again, the kids couldn't see above my hair, my mom said: okay, so she's, like always make sure my hair was like in little braids or Something like that, but even then i was still like not confident and then growing up. I realized i didn't realize my mom was mixed until i think when we went to jamaica after my dad died, we moved to jamaica. You know my mom had her house building stay with my grandmother, and so we decided to go to my mom to put us in school. We went to mount mariah mount mariah primary school in um, saint ann's. I love that school. I remember going there and my mom would wear hair and then i remembered going there and then the kids would just look at me. Look at me and start touching my hair and stuff. So, oh you, where you gon na put to hear from and i was like and then somebody said you are my dad. I was like huh i was like i'm. You guys are speaking a whole welcome particular differently but, like i know what they're saying, but i don't understand what they're talking about my mom is a cooling stuff like i knew my mom like i'm, not just my mom. I didn't see her as anything different. You know or she that she was mixed or whatever so they said. Oh, my god, they're like yeah you're, pretty nothing, but all this stuff and people just touch my hair and all that i was really uncomfortable. I'M like what and then i remember when my mom said: mom people are saying that you're cooly and i'm nice hey, i don't understand she's like she's, like oh she's, like she basically said her she's like yeah, like i mixed. She probably told us many times but like we didn't really care, you know it just came to. We just realized this afterwards. Well at least i did and she's like yeah my father's indian and my mom's black, i was like huh. Oh like i was lost. I was like, oh, i didn't know that so yeah and then i remember seeing my my um grandfather and he's a straight indian right, she's like yeah, so that's why you guys here may look a little bit different from other people right. I was like. Oh, i said that's why your hair looks like white people and she's like then. She started laughing. Her mom has straightened in here and she's. Like sure she's like i have indian here right - and i think oh and that's why it looks different from other people, because we have a mixture right. My mom, my dad's black, my mom's mixed half, black, half, indian and so um when i was in so being in jamaica. I realized that our hair was what people some people say was nice, but i'm like i'm here nice, but i i guess where they're coming from you know, because back then natural hair wasn't like praised as it is now. You know we've gone a long way with um black hair black natural here and the journey of even loving my hearing started when in 2015, but back to what i was saying, i remember i used everywhere. I went everybody used to talk about me, my sisters here and my brother's here. They'Re like oh, my god, you guys here so long and everybody wants to do right here and you know jamaica, i back them. At least i don't know how it is now. My mom do, i would say, be careful who um touches your hair. You know because i'll be on all these stuff, so i'm gon na be careful who did our hair than my mom did right here, most of the time anyways. So, back to what i was saying, i first felt really uncomfortable with people staring at my hair and stuff. So what i did was whenever i did my mom to my hair. I'D always put it in a ponytail, so my mom did like a bird hair and braid. Here i would take a ponytail and i put it up. I put it all the way back so that nobody would like really touch it and people were like. Why are you always putting back your hair, and i was like just leave me alone? Wait why you're alone anyways, i just didn't like my hair and then i got to the point where i was like yo, i'm just done, i'm done with people touching my hair. I'M done with my hair, i'm done also with my mom. Do my hair, like some little kid, which i was i was in grade four right um, so i took it upon myself to learn to braid, so i used to watch my mom braid so much my older sister's, braid and stuff, and then i then started practicing Myself and from practicing on myself, i started camera in my own hair at the age of probably when you're grade four, so you're five, so like nine or ten ten, maybe um, and i started carrying my own hair and stuff like that. I started going to school with my hair can really suit my sister's hair - and i remember my brother - came to me one time and he was like yo lisa. Can you just do my ear? I'M tired of mom doing these big doodle plaques right here. These huge plaques in my hair, we call them dude plots adrian said: don't call them that that's disgusting, but we used to call them dude uh because they were so huge, so um we used to say so. He used to come to me nice to do his hair. I used to give him like this new dog braids. I used to give him some zigzags in his hair. I used to love doing here and also anyone was like a little child which i was, and so i used to carry my hair to some wicked styles of my hair and you know anyways moving forward. I remember in high school now i used to straighten my hair literally every single day, every single day, guys the poor, my hair started dying, but i didn't really care. Even the front of my hair was picky. Picky like it was like short, and it was really bad because i wanted to fit in with all the other kids, even like my colored friend, they used to straighten their hair too, because they weren't fitted. I was in that area, so i was around a lot of white people, and so i was like. Oh my god. I need my hair to look straight like there and used to straighten our hair and stuff, so i never really appreciated my hair. I always wanted to straight cuz. I thought straight was more beautiful and it wasn't until i had jameer why yeah it was until i had jameer, where i real, where i couldn't even straighten my hair very often so i had to just go resort back to natural hair, and then one day it Came to me i was like yo. This is so much better. It'S so much easier. You know i'm tired of straightening, my hair and then i might like i have to walk. I had to wash my hair like every three days. I feel like yes, jamir bobby yeah. It sounds like wrong majority. Actually, i think he needs to get scooter because he keeps crying go. Tell your dad about telling him hi chad take the jury out i'll, be there like two minutes, i'm just recording a video yeah. So not have to be faster, jerry's hungry, but um. It'S after i had your mirror um. I really stopped straightening my hair i'll shake my hair at least once a year, maybe twice or like a special occasion. I'Ll straighten my hair, but i start to learn to love my hair afterwards, because i just realized beauty in it and, like i just needed that change and just to start loving myself little by little. You know so to the point now i still have my hair curly. You, you har you're, hardly see my hair straight um because you know i'm just embracing it now, just embrace embrace your hair, everybody, no matter if it's short, thick curly whatever it is. If you want to be bald, be bald just embrace yourself and be who you are and me with short hair, even though, like my mom's like why you slap chop up all your hair, i like it like this. So it's what you like! Don'T worry what other people say: keep your hair. Whatever way you want right because of the day, it's what makes you happy yeah. So i come wrong with my hair. There'S a whole bunch of stories of that, but i'm just going to give you guys that for now oops you know what i need the mirror. So yeah i've come along with my hair. You guys should also start loving your hair. Oh another thing i remember when um, oh, it was too much. I remember when i started um transitioning to like natural hair. To my friends i remember i said to them. I was like yo i'm trying to make them because they have curly hair too, like when they're indian, when they're more um they're colored people anyways um, they used to straighten their whole time and then and then i remember one day i said yo, i'm like you Guys, i'm, like you guys, should try transitioning, you start wearing your hair. Naturally, it's so beautiful, you know and um, and they looked at me and they're like what do you mean you're, like yo, just make your hair keep your hair naturally, as it is like the curls, it looks so good like i started wearing my hair like this And curly and stuff - and it feels amazing, i'm like you guys - should try it and i remember what they said to me and they're like yo. This is like one black here natural black here: black people here started trending and everything started going natural and it's more recognized and people are using in the media and like it's popping at this point, so i said to them and yo. You guys see. I'M like yo everybody's wearing their hair natural. Now you guys should wear your hair, natural and all this stuff, and i remember them saying to me like. Oh, all i see nowadays is black people and they want to do their natural hair, natural, this natural that and but so annoying. So i said huh. I know some things like that you're looking about now that you look back you're like bro, like you just start, realizing your friends and stuff like that and how their intentions, how they are towards your race and all that so anyways they're like yo every day, all The time on social medias, black people going where they're natural here blah blah and you know i just sat there and i said well, it's a good thing. Like i just kept quiet, i was kind of shocked right. I was like whatever i was like. Well, you guys should probably just do it, because it's just better for your hair and it'll be healthier and stuff like that too. So just yeah, another lesson that watch sometimes you just have to look back and see. Just look about. Look like look at little comments. People say to you and stuff, because people have hidden like they're shady people. Some people are shady, you don't really realize you know some people do stuff and you think they're friends and they make joke about stuff but deep down it may be true. So i've been learning that lately for the past during the pandemics. Actually, i just started realizing a lot of stuff and things have changed a lot during the pandemic, and you know you you, the real friends will stick with you and some people just take things too hard. Sometimes - and you know you just got ta just be you and just do things your own way and if you're happy be happy and don't make the outside world or other people try to change who you are, you know and just watch your backs y'all, but yeah Anyways y'all, this is taking a bat turn, but anyways i'll see you guys after i'm gon na finish. My hair get ready to go probably gon na pick hot chef, some breakfast, because if i don't cook him anything he's gon na be working all day and not eat. So there you go just keep it like this for now, yeah so see you guys after i'm gon na do some laundry my mom just go visit her and relax and chit chat. Okay, see ya; okay, so i'm just gon na run to the mall quickly and uh drop off something for my sister, not something her makeup. She forgot my house the other day in the car. Yes, the other day when we did the photo shoot this one. The screen shower and then can i get broccoli and pokemon like ones, need their fried rice with um sweet and sour chicken, this one generous cell and then could i get this one with it. How much are those 225 each and four people yeah any four piece? Eight dollars can i get one yep. I never tried that thanks, okay, so i'm just leaving them all. I got ansel so we're gon na go home. Well, i'm gon na drop her off home and then um we're gon na eat this food, so yeah just off the ostrich center. Are you vlogging yeah for vlogmas vlogmas nice hi, youtube yeah, so we're just going to do that. It'S getting dark, like i said! 4. 30, what is what time is it nine and five o'clock at right? It'S like 4 40. yeah. It'S almost five, and it's like this right here, yeah so i'll, see you guys when i get inside yeah. Okay, see if it's great, you can kind of see us yep, okay, okay! So it's kind of dark, but it's okay. So i seen this thing put down before okay, so i seen this dumpling kind of thing. I seen this there like i've, seen a lot of people have it you want to call it dim sum. No, i don't know, i think it's called dim sum well anyways. I'M going to try, it see how it is well that looks good is that meat inside of it? It'S very, the texture is like bread, but it's like sticky bread. If that makes sense, try it no it's! Okay! No! It'S really good! It'S! Okay, you're [ __ ], this [ __ ]. Oh god, stop like a sweet chicken nice like a barbecue chicken like a sweet, barbecue. Okay. So i am home now and let me show you what i got: that's adrian's food. We got the broccoli, he got the. I think they said shanghai, noodles, spicy, chicken and sweet sour chicken. I got shrimp from jameer, um, general tao and then sweet and sour chicken okay, so i am going to eat now and i will see you guys in tomorrow's vlog. Is there a lot of adrian in this one, i think so? Maybe not if it wasn't too bad. Okay, so i'll see you guys tomorrow see ya.
