Hey guys welcome back to my channel well welcome to my channel, because this is the first video on this channel. My name is mahogany and i'm going to be doing an extended ponytail for you guys so um my hair is already pre-straightened um. I didn't like straighten it like bone straight or anything, because i'm just putting the point, so i just wanted it straight enough, because i let my hair air dry, i tried to put heat on it or anything, so i just wanted to straight it out. Just a little bit and not a lot, so i'm going to start by just section off my edges from the ponytail, that's going into the ponytail and i'm just going to put edge control just so that we can keep it separated. So this is a part that you don't have to do. I just do it like. Some people can just brush some people brush all their hair back and then just kind of pull their baby their edges out. But i just don't like don't know that and also that's not i don't know, i'm just i've always done it a certain way. So it's just natural to me just to be like. Let me separate my edges from the rest of the hair, i'm putting up and so yeah and then plus, like you know, once you like, put it in a ponytail when you try to like pull it out, then you got ta like fix the front back up A little bit because now hair is everywhere instead of just separating it slicking it down and calling it a day from the beginning. So when it comes to the back of my head, i'm literally i just take a good amount of edge control. Just you know, i do it like grease, put it in my hand and then just kind of spread it evenly throughout the back, like i don't do how i do the front, because i'm not separating anything back there um some people do put. I just um. They put like their baby hairs out in the back. I just don't do that because i'm not gon na do that every day and it's gon na mess up to me. I yeah. No, i just can't i won't so i don't really care how the back. You know looks when it comes to that part like it's still slicked down. I care about that part, but i don't separate no edges or anything like that. But if you do, you can do the same thing that i did in the beginning and just you know, i guess pull them edges down and stick that up and it might be a little bit easier for you because you know it's kind of hard to see Back there, so i'm not even even gon na lie you guys like when it came to putting this ponytail up and in, like literally i went through like five scrunchies like if you know you know, i'm very heavy-handed when it comes to doing my hair and those Scrunchies are like a dollar so, like you know, you get like 50 for like a dollar, it's just they're, not that sturdy already so yeah. I was like popping my scalp like crazy, so i'm i know i'm not the only person who goes through this like when it comes to a high ponytail. It'S like not as easy or as fast like it has to be precise. It has to be in the middle, it has been slipped down, that's just how it works so yeah. This always takes time. So with this i have clipped my ends, so i will not be adding braiding hair to my hair because it's just not going to work. Everybody knows like when you put like weave braiding hair in your hair, and you clip your ends. It just doesn't work out, and so i already know the health jump. So i'm not even going to bother that part. I'M just going to take my hair wrap like the wraps that you use to cover your edges, i'm going to take one of those put spritz on it and just wrap it just start wrapping around and um. I only use two and i just wanted to just because i don't want any glue on my hair whatsoever and then i'm going to start wrapping. My ponytail from the tip of my ponytail um, definitely on the paper and i'm just going to start wrapping it around. Some people put glue on the track as they're going around. I don't. I have to put the glue i like to put it on the front and bring it around. I just can't the tracks are already. You know it's like i don't know. I just cannot like. I feel like it's just more work versus just putting it on the hair and just pulling the track around. Instead of trying to put glue on a little bit of the track, then pull it around put a little more glue on the track, pull it around. Like. I just stand for like don't know that and i really feel like it was just faster, like this literally took me like five minutes like five minutes, it took me longer to do my ponytail natural hair part than it did to actually wrap the weave around. So this is something that i would definitely do on myself and it's easier if i'm doing like a client's hair, it's different. But for me you know, like i had to do my hair, the easiest way, because i just don't have the time, and i can't see everything you know so, and this is only gon na last, like a couple days anyway in my head, because i pretty much Do my hair like every week every other week, so i'm not looking for this to be long term. I just want something cute and fun for the weekend. So, as you get down closer to your natural hair, make sure you do not get any glue on your hair whatsoever whatsoever at all and then um once you just if you wrap it right, you should not get any glue on your natural hair. That'S just how it works like if you wrap the um the wrap the black wrap around your your ponytail. So i took a piece of the ponytail from the back of my hair combed it out um. If you put enough tension on it and pull it just a good amount, it should just straighten right out because the hair, you know it's soft, so it's just going to straighten right out that way. You can get that smooth slick wrap around as you're doing the ponytail um as i get to the front of the ponytail. I just put some of that gossipy spray on it um. I don't do some people spray on the weave and just wrap it around, but the hair i took out is pretty thick because i don't know i just wanted it thick, so i just rather just spray it as i get to the front of my hair and Yeah, that's pretty much that i feel like i'm just rambling, so i'm just going to let you guys just finish watching the video i'll just jump in. I think i need this. Ponytail is just so cute to me like it's been a while, since i had a ponytail ponytail in, and i don't know like it's going to last, a good amount like at least a week, it's going to last at least a week. I don't think i'm going to mess with it for like a week, but right now, i'm putting on some hair shine, just because i put a decent amount of edge control on um on my edges and like on the front. So it's kind of like really close together. So when i wrapped it, you know it kind of gets a little dry looking, but i just put some hair shine on it because you don't want no crusty, looking edges and whatnot with your ponytail girl. So after i did all that, that is all done and it's cute, i'm loving this ponytail, you guys like it's so easy. I really love this ponytail so much so if you guys like this video, please comment like and subscribe and i will see you guys in my next video bye. You
