Sleek Low Ponytail | Hair Bundles Vs. Crochet Hair | (Extensions)

Hey lovelies,

Today, I decided to experiment with hair bundles and crochet hair to get my sleek low ponytail look. I wanted to see for myself which method was the easiest and most effective. Both were pretty simple and looked great! This low curly ponytail hairstyle can be worn everyday casual or dressed up, classy. So keep watching to see how to do a sleek low ponytail with extensions.

The hair bundles were purchased at my local beauty supply store for just under $30. I purchased a pack of four with 16", 18", 20", 22". I only used the 20" and the 22" hair bundle but feel free to use more for more body and volume.

The crochet hair was purchased also at my local beauty supply store for roughly $8. I would recommend purchasing more than one pack. I made the mistake of using one pack; however, my hair still turned out great! The only thing I will say about the crochet hair is that it is a little time consuming when dividing the the strands of hair in two. Other than that it was a very easy way to get the sleek ponytail look.

Hey guys welcome back to my channel today, I'm gon na be showing you how to do a low sleek, curly ponytail, using hair, bundles and crochet hair. So let's go ahead and get started so the first look I'm going to be doing is using the hair bundles. So I'm just gon na be parting. My hair, you can either do a side part or a middle part. Whatever part you want, and I use the Denmark brush to detangle my hair, it works beautifully, so I'm just gon na use that to get rid of any kinks or knots that I have going on, and then I like to use my fine bristle brush to get My hair as smooth as possible, I'm just gon na tie my hair back in a hair tie and then I'm gon na fix my edges and any bumpy areas. After once, I've applied to gel, I use eco styling gel and it works really well. For me, it holds my hair pretty well. Whenever I have my hair tied back and I'm just gon na apply, I suppose a generous amount all over my hair and including my edges and I'm just gon na go back to using my fine bristle brush to go over any bumpy areas and to get my Hair as smooth as possible, when it comes to cleaning up my edges, I like to use a smaller fine, bristle brush. I just find that it's easier for styling purposes. Okay, so I've got my hair in a braid. It probably could have been smaller but oh well and then we're gon na take the hair bundles and basically, what we're gon na do is wrap it around. The braid you'll need some hair grips for this, so make sure you have those on standby, because, as you're wrapping the hair around the braid, you will be using the grips to hold it and fasten it to the braid and all you're going to be doing. Is wrapping the hair bundle all the way from the tip of your braid to the base of your braid? So the one good thing about using hair bundles is that I didn't find it very time-consuming, mind you. This is my first time ever trying it like. On camera right now, so the only thing that I found to be a little complicated was the fact that the hair bundle would get tangled as I'm trying to wrap it around my braid, because it's so long so as you're wrapping. It be mindful to make sure that it's not getting tangled at the same time, so I only use two hair bundles out of four. I'Ve got a pack of four in a 16 inch, 18 inch, 20 inch and 22 inch, and I only used the 20 inch in the 22 inch. If you want a fuller look, go ahead and use more, but for me I just wanted to alright. So I'm gon na move on to my second hair bundle. As you can see, my braid is almost completely covered, but I'm starting about mid braid with my second hair bundle and then that'll. Take me all the way up to the top of the braid. I really like this look because you can wear it everyday casual or you can dress it up. It'S just a really nice simple look. You can also throw your hair into a low big bun which again could be everyday casual or it can be dressed up. Super classy all right, so I've come to the end of wrapping the hailer bundles, I'm just gon na fluff, my hair out a little bit to give it a bit more volume and to detangle it and then, as you can see, the base of my ponytail still Looks a little naked, so we're gon na take a little bit of hair from underneath the ponytail and we're gon na wrap it around the base to cover that and give it a more finished look and then we're gon na pin it in with some bobby pins And there you have it guys, your sleek lo curly ponytail, using hair bundles. I think that this hairstyle is bomb. I love it. I will definitely be rocking this for some type of event over the holiday season for sure, and it was super easy again. My first time doing this and it worked out really well again, if you want your hair to be more full, go ahead and use more hair bundles. But I was fine with two. So next up we're going to be doing this same look but using crochet hair. So basically they come in strands and for me I like to divide the strands. I just find that it gives a more fuller looking at a more natural if they're divided, I probably could have done with getting two packs of crochet hair in the end. But I I only got one and it still worked out fine. So if you want a more fuller look use more crochet packs once you've divided all of the strands you're going to get a hair tie and you're going to use this to fasten the hair. To your bun, so what you're gon na do is you're gon na take the hair tie and you're going to place the crochet hair over top of the hair time. You'Re gon na take either sides of the hair tie and pull it up, making sure that the crochet here is in the middle and then you're gon na do like a little looping motion. So you're gon na take one side of the hair tie and you're gon na pull it over top of the other. Take the bottom section and pull it through and this little area is the area that's going to be wrapping around your bun and fastening the hair to your bun. So it's fastened now. I just need to pull the hair over top of my button, so you're just gon na shift it over top. My button could have been smaller as well, but again working with what I got the smaller the bun, the better. So I'm just fluffing it up. You know giving it a little bit more volume and more body, and I'm just shifting it to make sure that you can't see any of my button and I'm just ever so gently combing it out just to give it a little bit more body to make it Look more realistic and we're gon na do the same thing that we did fry you're, taking a bit of hair from underneath the ponytail and wrapping it around the base. Just to give it that nice finished look and now you're going to use some bobby pins to pin it in and there you guys have it. This is the second look using crochet hair. I think both look great. They look a little different, but they both look. Awesome, if I were to choose one, it would probably be the hair bundle one. I really like that look specifically for me, but if you enjoyed the video, please remember to comment like and subscribe.
