So we just gon na jump right into it. I already then washed and blow dryer here, I'm just gon na go ahead and Flatiron it out. It'S just the foundation just to get the base started. You want to get the hair as straight as possible. Of course, when doing a sleek ponytail just I mean because she is 100 % natural, so I just want to make sure my slate is perfect and I'm gon na do a little in trip on her just because I have been she had braids before this, so She just needs a little trim now here I like to start with what I call the little anchor ponytail. I do this in multiple ponytails, it's kind of like it's, not a segmented but more of a layering method. So I just take little sections down my client. Does have finer hair, which for me for most ponytails is ideal. If you have finer hair and it's longer cuz, I don't have to add any tricks in the friend when she's getting this swoop. But I do like finding hair on ponytails just because it's easier to mold than here, sometimes when my clients have really really really really thick hair. It takes me a long time to perfectly get their hair moldy exactly how I wanted, where it's no cracks or anything. I mean I still can do it, but I do prefer. Clients were finding here on ponytails now here I just want to go ahead and define my part she's not getting a swoop, that's necessarily down in her face. She is institution, so she's picky. Like me, we haven't heard her face and she kind of liked it a little back. I kind of call it like a classy school and I went ahead and did her edges off camera because I touch them so much and I'm gon na read y'all gon na see me read them again at the end of the video engines is just uh. It'S just a head love-hate relationship now here. This is a little trick that I like to do because, like I said she did just have braids and a little while before we share break some of her edges were kind of pulled out by some of her braids on her edges, which of course they happen. So a lot of women, because your edges are your weak response. So what I like to do is I spray a little bit of that? I don't know what it's called like the color sprayed. That'S in the can. I don't spread the lick on directly on my client because it makes it look blotchy, but I will actually spray it on, like my edge control brush first and just go in and follow the curve that I've created to start her swoop and as you can see It filled it right in, like you can't even tell the difference, and it doesn't like. I said beforehand that Bloodshy look, but it's just because she does have finer hair. I want to make sure that you cannot see through her hair like her swoop when I started when you see me kind of start to mold. That part also yeah, I'm so sorry about my camera position I recorded by myself and I'm still learning how to position. My camera, when I'm working, because I'm used to just working and not filming so y'all, just bear with me, I'm gon na get better and editing and video position me camera position. Oh, it's gon na get better over time, I'm just trying to post as much as I can post. So I can learn more about how to properly edit my videos you know. I know a lot of y'all are noticing that I do not use um, Gatsby glutes praying and I build my ponytail. I actually use a pomade, it's like a wax for me and it actually doesn't change. So it's like. I forget what it's called. It'S like an old-school pomade, and I love this because it allows you to continue to be able to like touch your hair up or brush your hair or move your hair. It'S not just it's stiff. Now I do use it Gatsby glue spray at the end, just to kind of set the style, but I do not excessively use that spray, because once you spray it, you are locked into the style. I mean that's just and if you try to comb it out, is it kind of flake up a little bit so me, I personally love to do the soft mode. There'S just like. I said a personal thing, especially when their time their hair up at home. You can create dents in your hair easily, you know, and especially with it being stiff, it's hard to fix, but this way it's much easier. My clients can touch up. I mean I've even touched up. Some of my clients ponytails, like I said some of these ones. Last two weeks we can have, it just depends and some people wearing past it, which I don't recommend that play. Sometimes you can when the set style is softer, you can maintain it longer now I don't know weapons to my camera right here. Why I started getting glossy like a glossy look, but I don't know what I don't know. If you see that hair getting bunched up like where you previously just tied a rubberband in it, don't be afraid to go ahead and cut that rubber band and Reese muth and make sure that it looks exactly how you want, because once I break this brain and Slow it down, it would be almost impossible and take too long to take it down to the startup to outlet. So I like to make sure that my foundation is locked in exactly how I want it before I start putting it on my ponytail trust me. It yeah just trust me on that here I go again fooling with these edges, like I said, I'm a perfectionist, so I would keep on messing with stuff until it looked right to me into my climb, it's just a habit that I get good and bad quality About myself, but I sometimes it take me a little longer play I just like to make sure everything is like. Then I use my god to be glue spray, just to kind of give it a little bit. I didn't use much just a little bit and when you're tying your black ties on your tissue strips, you want to make sure that you're not tying I'm too tight, because you don't want to dent your swoop or anything. So I kind of lightly just time on there go ahead and braid your ponytail, and you can see she inches. Her ear actually has grown a lot a lot a lot since she started wearing units and just in braids. Her hair has been doing really really really really good, and I can't wait to see how I hear about the end of the year, because she gon na have some lint lip I'd like to use the sewing method with the tracks. Just because now she's using synthetic on these ponytails, we just doing a quick style, but some of my clients use their bundle here in our land. So I do not do the glue or the bobby pin method. I find that the sewing method to me it lasts longer and it's a lot less messy and your client can still utilize their hair after the fact - and that's just to me all around the best option. Cuz we glue it's like to me. The hair begins together. It just give me I just I just don't like it now. Sometimes I will do a glue on a ponytail if I'm using like pack here at the top like on when they get the up/down ponytails, it just depends, but more than likely, I still use thread. Wind or noses will but threading is my favorite method. It'S my go-to method. It'S the easiest method. It'S highly recommended! It'S quicker, like I said it's a lot, less messy for you and your client, even the less. I have to utilize glue the better for me because I really don't like using glue unless you actually get a quick weave style as I'm getting ready to close the ponytail off. This is the last step in the ponytail. I actually like to thread my needle like at the base of it and pull it through and then just give it one final tug and a few nights at the end, just to close it off, and then I use I alternate back and forth between the got To be glue spray and the edge control that I'm using when I start to wrap the hair around her ponytail and shiatsu Christie and Jonah background, that is my best friend and my boyfriend. In the background they were just enough. They'Re talking they know, Clark is will actually Clark is being one of my closest friends she's. Actually my boyfriend's best friend's sister, so they grew up together. So we all can't get on the regular you just in they're having a good time. It'S her birthday weekend so and actually my boyfriend went to Dallas with them for our birthday, so make one for a little birthday turned up, so we was just enjoying a little time before she live. Oh, I just love wan na look becoming together finish it up. It looks so good yeah again, I'm gon na go ahead and tap her edges just to do like those little curly sides on in just a little Shirley Temple little curl. My each side is just adds a little extra to it. I don't gel these down. I see people do, but I don't gel mines down. I just kind of let them flow cuz even like over time. You can just kind of push him behind your ear. You know if you don't want to have a mouth or you want to pull it forward and do it again, but here this is the look one of my favorite looks, of course, everybody's really into the sleek look right now and I love it. I let it baby here, so I let it extra nice. I love the big ponytails. I love doing sleep bunny tails period I little swoops, I love all of it. I think it's definitely. A new was like an older style, but people have read it. So just you know kind of give it that new edge to it, and I love that I've been loving, seeing the girls with these ponytails, where all the baby hairs. I love the dramatic so yeah. So as I'm finishing up, I just spray. My little oil sheen give it a little more shine, and here is the final look. It looks real good me, which is the goal. Everything looks in place, sleek like we like it and again she is our natural, no relaxer. I hope you guys enjoyed this video. Don'T forget to Like comment and subscribe in a game Clark. I love you so much happy birthday to wealth and health.
