*Easy* Slick Bubble Ponytail Tutorial | On Natural Hair (No Glue + No Heat)

Hey loves and welcome. Welcome back to my channel if you're new here my name is emoji lisa or you can just call me samia, but in today's video i'm going to be doing a tutorial on this bubble: ponytail, okay, okay, yeah. So this is a super easy tutorial, um on completely natural hair, no glue, no heat. Okay. Okay, i started off with my hair in three sections um i did the back section off camera, but i'm basically just making sure my hair is really wet. My hair works best when it's soaking wet. When i do a sleep back style, my hair was actually really soft, because i had just like deep conditioned everything, so it wasn't as silly as it could have been. So i had to put in a lot more work than i usually would have, but it just kept kind of curling up, but i kind of got as slick as i could get it um after deep conditioning but yeah. I just used eco styler gel the green one, the olive oil and i just would use a denman brush to detangle and use a heart brush and slick it back it's in a middle part, but i ended up changing it to a side part because that's just Kind of the look i wanted to go for so yeah, i'm just flicking it back section by section. Just makes it easier for me: wetting it adding gel tanging it brushing it and getting it as slick as possible. So now i'm just putting it all in a ponytail and then i'm going to tie it down with a head scarf and then i'm going to start working on the base for my ponytail. So i usually, i forgot what this method is called, but i basically just take a hair tie or a headband, and i just wrap it all down the um ponytail and that just makes it really long. Oh bandy method, that's what it is. I'M doing the banding method and i'm just going to do that throughout the entire ponytail. Just so um the hair has something to hold onto so then i stuck a bobby pin at the end of the track and stuck it through the bottom of the ponytail, and i'm just going to keep wrapping wrapping wrapping wrapping wrapping um. I did the bobby pin method, so every couple wraps i put a bobby pin in there to make sure that it was secured um you can use glue. You can use um, really anything, but i like to use the bobby pin because i just feel like it's. The easiest is the easiest takedown, because i don't like to sleep in these ponytails so yeah. I just use bobby pins every couple wraps and i did that all the way till i got to the top. This is really simple and it's really secure like it does not come out at all. I'Ve slept in ponytails with just bobby pins and it worked just fine, so you don't need any glue for this and you don't need to straighten your hair blur out um. I mean i didn't it depends on your hair type, but y'all i did it. My hair was perfectly fine, i feel like it could have been sleeker. It could have been sleeker. I know i know, but every time i film a video, it doesn't ever go as planned, so because i've definitely had my hair way sleeker than this, it was just really soft, but yeah you just wrap, wrap, wrap. Put a bobby, pin wrapper up again. You can use more or less um bobby pins. If you want, i barely used any. I probably use like four total and um yeah. My ponytail lasted all day. You could, i probably could have slept in it, but i hate sleeping in ponytails. So i tied my hair back down because i re-added some gel, but now i'm just going in and i'm going to straighten the hair, because this was, i believe, water wave hair. So it obviously wasn't straight um. You can just buy straight bundles, like i think that'll. Just be way easier, but also since i didn't straighten my hair for this look, i wanted to use um curly, bundles and straighten it, so it looked more natural like it was my hair um. I feel like that's definitely a hack. If you are wanting to do this style and you're not going to straighten or blow your hair out, you want it to look as natural as possible. So when i straightened it, it was obviously more of a thicker natural look than bone straight bundles. I feel like you, can only release bone straight bundles if your hair is bone straight so and i wasn't gon na straighten my hair just to do a ponytail. So that's a tip and that's a little hat, get curly bundles and then straighten it. It really didn't take that much to straighten it honestly and then now i'm taking the little piece from the back and i'm just gon na wrap it around the base of the ponytail to create that. Like you know, you know what it is like just to create that little thing i don't know what it's thought, but yeah. That'S basically what i'm doing here and i'm just going to secure that with some got to be and blow dry it just so it hardens and stays so now for the actual ponytail. All you're going to do is just take the rubber bands and put them where you want them to go. It'S very simple: you just put the rubber band, and you stretch the hair out to make it look more like a bubble. Um. Every time you put a rubber band, it kind of messes up the one on top, so you just got to keep adjusting it to your liking. Unfortunately, i had brown rubber bands, but you would want to use rubber bands to match the color of the hair so yeah, that's basically just how you do.
