Decades ago when I was in middle school, I had to shave my head because this one girl managed to smack the biggest glob of gum I’ve ever seen, into my hair as she walked by. Needless to say, she’d been picking on me for years. One day she came into class after getting braids for the first time. Her hair really did look cute. That’s why when opportunity knocked, I walked by, grabbed one, and chopped it off at the top of her head with a pair of scissors from home. She cried, I laughed, and told her to watch out for the rest of them, because she was going to end up looking like me with a buzzed head if she ever even looked at me funny again. She didn’t pick on me much more after that and we both had to spend a week of detention together. Except she had to scrub windows while I got to sit and have a grand time with the teacher who ran the detention sessions hahaha

In the past , girls didn't have a problem unless you show up with a Goth style hair covering your face, or dyed hair. For boys ...they where the target of strict rules, their hair should have been cut above 2 inches above the shirt collar All of us wore school uniforms as mandate by the ministery of education. This change about 2 decades ago. And now the uniform is sweat pants and a t shirt, different schools have different colors. The only major rule that put you on suspension ,it's makeup. MAKEUP IS BANNED in all schools (if it's a no makeup makeup look ,that they won't notice)
