Today i have five different hair ties for putting your hair up and each one of them has its own benefits and advantages different disadvantages, so we're going to talk about it. So if you're looking for a new hair tie stay tuned, the first hair tie is just the classic uh. It'S like the classic scrunchie, but it's actually a headband, and i like this one because it doesn't have one of those little. It'S like an area where they like glue the band together or they elastic together, which can snag the hair. You should snag my hair all the time these uh headbands don't actually have a point where it comes together. So this is one continuous band, and i like to use this to put my hair up in a plastic. Just i want to say it's like the 90s like ponytail tree top ponytail, so that you have that height and then the thickness of the band kind of gives it that, like lift, so that it can fall over cactus pose. And so i really like this one. Just to give that, like height and fullness of um, it's almost like the ponytail that i had when i was like two years locked and they should just stick up. And if i wear any other hair tie just like flops down. But this is only one that gives it like height. So if you're looking for a ponytail holder to add height, this would be a good option for you. The next hair tie is a bungee, and i like, using this hair, tie to create a ponytail that i'm going to let um again, like kind of like be free like a not quite a high ponytail, but something that i don't want to be too low. I like using this one because it's literally no tension, and so it feels really really comfortable. The only thing is with the hooks they can get kind of like entangled in your hair as you're taking it out. So just be mindful of that, but if you're looking for like a no tension, ponytail holder, that's really easy to adjust the hooks um, it's a good one. My next, like go-to hair tie, will it's slowly phasing out and i'm a little bit sad about it. But it's been my go-to, for i want to say a good nine to nine months. So almost the past a year is the cord elastic and when i discovered this thing, it was like i needed this in my life. I really loved that um. One is stretched. A lot didn't have one of those um indentations where it would normally snag the hair. It'S like a plastic, so it's not gon na tangle with the hair, all great things, and then i also really loved how like the waves in the cord. They were fairly big. So it was almost like the size of my locks could fit into the waves, and so it was just like really comfortable um. I love this thing and i'm like sad that i have to see it go or like i'm facing out of my um, my like go-to pal, because my locs are getting longer and they're getting heavier and it just whenever i put my hair up it just just Flops over, but if you don't have thick locks or if they're not um like mid back length, this is definitely a good option for you. I liked using this hair tie for literally almost everything like updos sloppy buns side, ponytails um, just a ponytail that hanging over in the face like this one was just my everything and um yeah. I hate to see it go every day. I still like put it in my hair and then within like 15 minutes, i'm like. Why did i do this? It just fell out so rip to the cord elastic, but this will definitely serve you well. The next hair tie that i have is called a snappy, and i was so excited to find this in my like drawer of hair stuff. I love the snap feature. It makes it really um convenient for, like those high ponytails, are just getting your hair up off your neck in a snap pun attended and it's cool. It'S really comfortable on the wrist like if you're, just wanting to wear a hair tie on your wrist um. It'S really comfortable too and um. Why else do i like this one? I like it because of the material that it is and that it's not a lot of um tension either, although the opening is not as large as all of the other hair ties. I share with you um. This opening is still pretty comfortable for my thick locks. I have 36 locks um, so yeah get you a snappy. If you just want to snap it in put your hair up in the snap, oh okay, i'll, stop and last but not least, um, because this is an og. This is the og hair tie um. Is i wan na call? I don't even know what to call it, but, let's just say it's a um button and ring die, but for the purposes of the right now, this hair dye is great for thick locks, really really long locks um. It can also be used as a headband. I got this when i was a loose natural actually when i had a teeny, weeny afro and used to just wear the just a dormant like right here. So again i found this in my hair drawer and i was like oh wow. I could use this for my hair so because it is so long i do have some difficulties putting it on, but once you get it on again really comfortable, no tension, um stays in place for the most part. You know. Sometimes it comes with this whole. I do wish this little um the little button lever plug whatever it is. I do wish this was longer um for my locs, because again they can be heavy for a hair tie, but it still works nonetheless, so yeah. These are just five of my favorite hair ties for getting your locks up with little to no tension, um that are also stylish and don't cause any sags. If you have any other hair tie, suggestions, definitely drop them below, because i'm always on the hunt for new hair ties and weights ways to get my locs up and off my neck as they're getting longer. So i'm definitely opened open to um recommendations. As always wishing you peace, love and good eyes, you

Hunneewest: Swirly Curly hair tie with snaps is my go to. It comes in a box of five and with longer hair can attach the snaps to make a longer hair tie.

Treshain Elerson: My husband uses one of his locs as a hair tie! When his hair no longer fit most hair ties, he took one of his longer locs and wrap it around the others into a ponytail. He still does this to this very day.

EverGlow: I love that last one on you, very beautiful. Im going to make one for myself ♥️ thanks for the share.

ExquisiteCoils: Thank you for the recommendations, Jocelyn Renee. I can't wait to try a few of them.

jtbnkjb: The last one is called a toggle. Did your elastic start to lose it’s hold after a while? I’m in search of a better string to use for ponytail holders. You’re super informative and greatly appreciated, PEACE❤️

Michelle: I cut up leggings or tights...super comfortable around my locs or my wrist

Refined Fire: I caught the Snapee sale last year. The snaps can be connected to each other.

Farra Michel: I have the cord elastic. That has best friend ever since my locs got long enough for me to put up in a pony tail

LadyNeal81: Your make me laugh your spirit is incredible sis. Keep educating us

Trinity Seiber: This video was great, but is there a way you can list the recommended ones so I can shop for them lol??

Stephanie Tanco: I break my hair tight then tight it together makes it stronger and never snaps

Ashley Wiltz: Can you use them on 5 month locs?

Anicha: What type of dye did you use? I'm thinking of doing my hair

Black Boys OM Inc: Thanks for this!

nikki kabaki: Thank you for sharing... learnt something

Will Waddell: I need to find these for my locs

Black Locs Matter: Took notes. Thanks for sharing.

Latoya Nickee: Where can I find bungees?

YoongiNavy: How many locs do you have?
