How To Make A Button Ponytail Holder Day 22

In this video I will show you how to easily make a Ponytail holder using the Fabric Covered Buttons from my video from day 12. You can also use this technique with anything you can drill a hole in!!

Hello, its Julie and welcome to day 22 of my 365 days of crafting videos. Today, I'm going to show you how to make this cute ponytail holder using buttons. So let's get started. So what you will need for this project is some half fall cover buttons and make sure that they're large enough that they have a large enough hole so that you can fit the rubberband Pony holders into you will need some fabric to cover them and some scissors. So the first thing you will want to do is refer to my day: 12. The fabric covered buttons, video to make your buttons and then once you have your buttons made. This is super super simple. All you need to do is turn the button over just hold. The pony together slide both pieces through the hole and then make a slipknot and then you're going to do the same with both just put one end through the other and pull through and then what you're going to do is you're, going to put them side by Side like this and you're going to slide one end under the other button like that and then bring that loop that you slid under up and over the other button and then just pull and all you do is just wrap it around the ponytail. And then you might either wrap it around twice, depending on how thick the hair is. But what you're going to eventually do is just slide one over the other, and then it looks really cute on the hair. So there you have your ponytail holder. So thank you. So much for joining me for day 22 of my 365 days of crafting video. If you didn't see day 21 and you want to learn how to make this cute tutu skeleton costume, you can refer to that. And then you can use the little ponytail holder as the hair embellishment so until tomorrow happy crafting

Rachie Hawkins: If anyone has trouble with getting the elastic through the shank at the back of the buttons you can use string to help pull it through :)

bendietrees: This was very helpful! Thank you :) you're a very pretty lady!

Zuliblu Crafts: @MrLogan527 I used Dritz 3 Ball Cover Buttons Size 45-1 1/8" They are the no tool required, product number 213-45. I can't remember where I bought them, most likely at Joann's or Beverly's. You may also try using thinner pony holders. Thank you for your support!
