How To Fix A Broken Elastic Hair Tie

Here’s a quick easy way to fix your broken hair ties. Hair ties are cheap but sometimes you just need to fix one in a hurry. They are elastic so you have to use a stretchy sturdy glue. I’ll show you how in under three minutes.

Hey so you've got all these hair things, but they keep breaking at the join. You can repair them really easily with your nasty nasty hot glue gun. I just want to show you real, quick how to repair your broken hair bands. They get real, loose right up to join and then they start to fray, and what you do is you just cut a straight edge on both ends and you take your hot glue gun and you put the hot glue on there on one side, you stick on The other side pretty quick, quick about it and you can just roll that on the counter takes off the excess, give a little once it cools down enough. You can touch it, don't touch it before it's cool enough cuz. You will hurt yourself and we don't want that to happen, so you pull it a little on a nice cool counter top okay. Now it should be solid test it if it doesn't work, do it again, so just cut it straight across sure. These things are like a dime a dozen, but sometimes you can't go out and you have like a little emergency. You need your hairband. Okay, stick it together with your hot glue. Squish it see. I waited a little bit before I got my hands in the glue. Okay, emergency repair doesn't look so pretty clean it up a little bit and then, when you can get to the store again, you can buy yourself some more. But let's let that dry all the way, pull it. It'S good! That'S gon na work no Tiger here but go it works like subscribe and ring that Bell. Thank you.

itz_OpheStar: thank you!! see i have thick hair and my hairbands keep on snapping and flying around my room now I know how to fix them!!!!

Apple Stump Bushcraft Stuff and Things: Pretty cool way to fix one in a pinch. I wonder if that miracle glue that uses a UV light to cure would work as well. My luck with that glue has been a mixed bag at best. I haven't had to join two ends of a broken steel winch cable (like they show on TV), or glue two bolts together, though. Remember the baby inch worm you featured in your mint jelly video? I wonder if someone could write a little story for kids about an orphaned inch worm. How would such a book be illustrated? Stay safe out there. :)

UnsaintedHost: I use super glue and sprinkle a little baking soda on to cure the super glue rock hard and I can't break the joint even after applying a good 10 15 pound of pulling pressure on the joint

Blue Line: Does this work for spiral ones?

Holly Alvarado: i dont have a glue gun;(

Andrew Whittick: Honestly bro don't even watch this video. It's covid season, I'm sure you have a mask laying around that you don't need. Go rip the string off it and tie it up. There ya go a hair tie, it's stretchy and lasts awhile. Only downside is that isn't that strong

Alyvia Boulanger: boo
